My own shopping experience wasn’t bad. Actually a guy who doesn’t work at price chopper named Kevin (apparently he is a retailer of product) made it much better. Around 10ish I brought my carriage to the front to the self checkout. Clearly struggling, the lady clearly didn't seem like she wanted to help. Nothing was scanning and I almost left without scanning 2 items on accident. Very lazy employees. when I mentioned to the lady at the front that they should have someone checking people out because I clearly don’t know how to do it, she replied with “you’re lucky we are open this late”, as if she made the hours, owns price chopper. This spot used to be open 24/7. It is on the decline and fast. Probably should put a rule in that employees can’t use cell phones.

I have yet to have a good experience here. unfortunately the produce is always bad. every time I buy from here it spoils within a day and the store generally seems dirty. Its so unfortunate there are no good grocery stores in the area.

The store is nice but the girl at the Service Desk is nasty! What an attitude she had the other day. Her answers were so snappy. I'm pretty sure her badge said "Ashleigh". I don't plan on using this store again.

I used to enjoy coming here and grabbing a coffee while I shopped. Lately, the manager was reaming out one of her employees right in front of me while I waited to order a coffee. Nothing worse than a manager who belittles their employees especially in front of customers. This was October 15th a Sunday at 8:30 in the morning

Update: added photo of more moldy produce still in the store…Produce is already rotting. I try to only go here if I’m buying something shelf stable or frozen. On several occasions, I’ve purchased lettuce or vegetables, only to get home and realize that they are rotting and inedible. I try to look for later expiration dates on packaging and check over every piece but I inevitably miss one. Wish they were better sourcing fresh food or removing it from shelves.The lettuce in the photo was purchased about an hour ago and there’s about 20 leaves that aren’t slimy and gross.It’s pretty expensive too, given the poor quality. The Roche Brothers or Star Market are worth driving the extra distance.

I have been a price chopper customer for years! But recently, in this particular store, the scales in the self-checkout have been acting weird. Every time you scan an item and place it on the scale, it asks you to remove it and scan it again as a duplicate. What is their strategy? Do they want to lose customers intentionally? It has been a pain using their self-checkout for the last couple of months, and I will leave this rating here until they fix this issue. What used to take 5 minutes now takes 15 minutes. It's genuinely frustrating; I still go there because they have good coffee, but I would never go there again if it weren't for their nice coffee beans.

This store has gone way down hill.. Told we would be escorted by police if not in line by 1155....The associates besides Erin and Mary have been rude been going here for years and we go later at night when there isn't a lot of people shopping because we need scooters and it's easier that way.. I have spent a lot of money here and the last few times they have been terrible only self checkout which is hard handicapped on a scooter so takes forever it's not my job to do the checking it out that's what people are paid for well tonight when we got ty the store the manager came over and said to us that we had to be in line by 1155 or the police would escort us out we couldn't believe that this was being said to us we are never rude or anything

I overheard an employee (named Don I believe) speaking to another employee in the seafood department with complete and utter disrespect. The guy in seafood has waited on me before and he is nothing but kind and always helpful. My heart was aching when I heard him being cussed out by management. It’s a shame that a company can employee someone with no regard to anyone.

Price Chopper in Hopkinton MA has a lot going for it. Great services, terrific brand selections, a Starbucks, a bakery where the bread is always fresh —and as many fresh squeezed juices as Whole Foods —and it is never crowded, so you are in and out. Never loud and busy, it’s like grocery shopping at a college library…—so quiet, just the quiet hum of the freezers when you stroll through Frozen Foods. If you like peaceful, then this is the place. When I finish grocery shopping here, I walk out the door and feel so relaxed, like I’ve taken a sedative(and if you’re a night owl, they’re open late). This is the skinny on this Price Chopper. 🤒

This is the worst grocery store I’ve have been in! The prices are 20-40% higher than most other stores and certainly Market Basket, which is the best grocery store around!You can’t find anyone around to help you, the deli and meat market staff are surly and rude. The cashiers hate customers and show it!I will never go there again. You want a great Super Market? Go to Big Y or Market Basket! Two great markets!!The only thing Price Chopper chops is your pay check! This place thinks it’s Whole Foods without the quality!

Another place I've been going to for years will never step into another one again. Your managers are incompetent and can't even bag groceries. Gets mad and thinks I don't know she walked away because I said I'll take the eggs after 3 minutes of her struggling to top off one of the bags with my eggs to make it an equal 20 lb bag I guess I don't know. About 10 more items and she still didn't want to open a bag for eggs. Might I add you or one of the highest costing grocery markets around, please explain to me why you're avoiding to give your customers another bag? Please spare me the green quality as you would have other approaches on that. Just another company that doesn't truly think about their customer, only thinks about themselves market basket here I go from now on! Shame on you and your managers!

The selection of items here is pretty good, and the produce section is well kept and well stocked. The quality of meats, dairy, and produce is excellent. The staff is unfailingly polite and helpful. The prices can be good, when you have coupons or there's a sale, but the norm is on the expensive side. For an occasional trip, or just a few items(like a good steak) this is your place. If you're on a budget, not for you.

It's sad to see that many other customers have observed and have had negative experiences at Price Chopper lately. I have been shopping here for years, and, I am, unfortunately, ready to switch to another store. The quality of customer service has gone downhill drastically since the past year or so. Most employees seem that they hate the job. I have had baggers pushing down forcefully on potato chips and breads. Last week, the florist named Valerie made my 2-year-old son and I wait when she could've easily hand us a balloon from the balloon order she was working on. We were not helped until I got her attention again after about 10 minutes. It's sad that the store's not heading the right direction.

Never buy fresh produce and meat here, we bought chicken breast, in package it looked good and Date on packaging was latest, but after opening the package I realized rotten meat was frozen, which became soggy slimy and smelly within an hour at room temperature, yuck I threw it right away, wish I had taken the pictures. Also the weight they mention on package is never accurate, simply they are looting money.

Price Chopper. Let me sum it up for ya: Never a long line if there’s a line at all. And the selection of choices, lots of quality brands and new brands on the shelves regularly. Well. Not as short and sweet as I thought, but you catch my drift about the store. I’m glad it here. You will be too.

We go here all the time for everyday groceries like breakfast food, salads, snacks, etc.While it is not at the quality of Wegmens, the price is cheaper with very reasonable quality products. We purposely buy some everyday products here over Wegmens for the price.All the basic needs are met with Starbucks, bakery, seafood section, butcher, and a flower shop.They often have seasonal items in stock which I love, and I have scored a doll from their crane machine once. lolAlso they have lobster sales evrery now and then! You go in and put in an order, then they would steam one for you in twenty minutes. I personally hope you could call in to place this order ahead as the seafood section closes at 7.Overall, nice nearby grocery store. Definitely will keep visiting for everyday needs.

I live next to this store, I only buy groceries elsewhere because of these paper bags that some genius decided to switch to. Made from very rough paper, NO HANDLES, sharp sawtooth edges, impossible to carry more than one loaded bag at a time and CUT YOUR FINGERS. I've had paper cuts three times and I'm sick of it. I am sure that whoever decides to use these bags does not shop in this store and cares less about people. I recently went to another Price Chopper on my way home from work and that store had NORMAL paper bags with handles. I can't understand it. Is this a city regulation? I used to shop here for groceries but these bags are literally pushing me away from this store. I'm sure I'm not alone. I hope management reads this and makes the right decision. Until then, goodbye!

Like the place. Been there a few times and the price on food is very good also. Good sales Most of all .The workers are very kind . The manager talk with me of some thing I was not happy with a worker one day. He was kind and listen to what I had to say.Thanks for yr help and understanding P S Please cover meat and Package to be stay safe from the Virus .People do Sneeze and Cough it spread . this is a fact..Or, the health Department will look into this to keep the people safe ..This at the wings and chicken at the open station. when you walk into the store.

This is a small overpriced poorly staffed grocery store. There are usually two lanes open for checkout with lines down the aisle. I drive twenty minutes and go to the Big Y. Also, you must buy bags at five cents each and the bags rip every time, spilling groceries. Infuriating. Emergency grocery needs only.

This store is conveniently located off the highway. Product is a little on the pricey side but that could be partly due to the added convenience of this being a 24 hour store. They do have good sales though. Great produce and have cool bakery items. Very clean and store is nicely laid out.

well it's not totally their fault I'm giving them such a low score... the shelves of products I went there for they were bare... yes I couldn't believe it either. Welcome to the new and improved government...as the President would say We couldn't predict this would happen... of course not lets keep cargos in the water... then lets put mandates on truckers to be vaxed...does no body realize the drivers are alone in their trucks.... and when they reach the point of destination usually the store employees unload the products .. so while truckers sit idle and shelves become more and more bare... let's all think about who is running the government.

Edited:10/16/22 this place is just more and more disappointing every time. Bought what I thought would be fresh lettuce " hence fresh Express" boy is that a lie at this price chopper! Nasty.. Rotate your produce!! FIFO!Land O' lakes cheese @ 6.99 a lb shouldn't look like. Pile of trash. Never again will I buy cheese here, and on top of that guy at the deli acted like I was bothering him ordering anything. Save your attitude kid, I understand it's Sunday but at least try to do your job.

Horrible experience at this Price Chopper. Entire system went down and people were made to wait without apology from management. EBT card for this senior was not recognized by system and I was forced to leave after buying $100 worth of food without being able to take it home. Told bluntly to use cash which I did not have. Manager was given no support by higher management during the system shutdown. Price Chopper district headquarters was called and I have yet to receive a call back from anyone as promised. For a new Price Chopper in an affluent suburb this treatment was deplorable.

It gets difficult shopping at pchop lately. Try waiting at the deli counter or try buying a bag at self checkout to see why. Yes buy, they actually charge for bags. Feels so economy. But they happily allow used dirty bags on their conveyor belts. Yuck. Before covid I would have rated a 5 so hopefully they can snap back, just management issues...
