My husband and I adopted these two cuties and they have been adjusting to their new homes quite nicely. They are little love bugs and I'm happy that we are able to provide a safe and loving home for our new fur babies.The team at Baypath were so kind and made this process as seamless as possible. Had an amazing experience adopting a kitten at Baypath. We were able to meet ALL the friendly cats during a meet and greet, we were able to see all their personalities and how they interacted with us and our son. We had lovely conversations with everyone we spoke to here. We adopted a different cat than we originally came to meet, which is why I love their idea of meeting all the cats and not just one. We are so incredibly happy with our new kitty and found the process to be much easier than with many other places that either never get back to you, or take ages to do so. Could not recommend Baypath enough!

We adopted two cats from Baypath Humane Society. The entire experience was exciting and seamless. The website was very detailed the staff was extremely helpful polite and professional. The shelter was clean and all the animals were happy! We are very happy with our two cats who have already adjusted very well to their new home! I wanted to share my experience with Baypath Humane Society. I have been volunteering and fostering for two years now. As a volunteer, my experience has been amazing. I have seen so much love for the animals. They truly care and it shows. As a foster, I have had great communication with the staff and they are always there to answer any questions and provide all the support needed. I would highly recommend Baypath!

I have been a volunteer at Baypath for over a year now. I am in awe of how incredibly dedicated the staff and other volunteers are in their mission of rescuing and caring for dogs and cats. Rescue is a 24/7 effort! Finding perfect homes for these abandoned, surrendered or stray animals must be very challenging. Each animal comes with their own special needs so finding perfect families is so very important to the staff members. They are always looking out for what is best for the animals in their care. I can also see the overwhelming generosity of the community with donations coming in every day. It truly takes a village. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with this great team! Thank you Baypath staff and volunteers for everything you do!

Baypath holds a very special place in my heart! I started volunteering there 7 years ago and I see first hand how hardworking and dedicated the staff are to finding the best homes for these animals while also providing the best care for when the animals are housed with them. I fostered my first dog a few years into volunteering. Hope was a senior who had a laundry list of issues, but Baypath never gave up on her. When I decided to foster her, the staff provided countless resources to set Hope and I up for success. I did eventually end up adopting her and she brings me so much joy! My Sunday afternoon volunteer shifts are my favorite part of the week because of the Baypath staff and animals. Thank you Baypath for all your do for the community and those sweet dogs and cats :)

My family has adopted two cats from Baypath. The staff takes great care of their animals, and is very careful to ensure they are placed in loving, appropriate homes! It is important to realize and respect that the staff is trained and highly knowledgeable regarding animal behavior. They take the time to truly get to know each animal and really set them up for success- the quality of care the animals receive is evident and clearly a top priority at Baypath.

It has been amazing to see how much hard work and love has brought Baypath this far. Our family has supported Baypath for over 20 years. We have volunteered, fostered many dogs, and of course, have had the great joy of adopting many furry family members.Having spent as much time on site as I have over the years, I have gained a healthy respect for the staggering amount of effort that goes into every aspect of keeping all canine and feline guests loved, exercised, mentally stimulated/challenged and beautifully cared for overall. The shelter has worked *hard* over the years to forge relationships with partners near and far, and they take seriously the quest of finding a well-matched home for each animal in their care.The act of taking in, caring for, and ultimately finding the best matched home for these dogs is no small feat, and I so respect the fact that Baypath takes the time that they do to get to know each potential adopter via their application, e-mail correspondence, in-person appointments, and especially once an animal goes home with their new family. The shelter takes the time to follow up, and to connect each adopter with all of the tools which will best set them up for great success with their new family member. They build these relationships because they care deeply for the success of each adoption, and the ultimate happiness of each animal. It isn't easy sometimes, but each adoption decision is made in the best interest of the animal, based on their traits/personalities/needs/challenges/etc. It's hard sometimes as a potential adopter to fall in love with a photo, a bio, etc - but to realize that in fact a different animal may be an even better-suited match. We applaud them for consistently going the extra mile. Nothing has made us happier than to see so many local friends become adopters, foster families, event attendees, etc alongside us!Five stars, Baypath - we love you!

My wife and I have adopted two dogs from Baypath including one with medical needs. We were so impressed with the care for the animals and the commitment to finding the right home for each animal to thrive in that we both began volunteering there. The staff is wonderful, they care about the animals, and they are honest to their adopters. If I was a dog looking for a home, I would want Baypath to be the ones finding it for me!

My husband and I recently adopted our furbaby Lola from Baypath! Everyone was very nice and super helpful! Within two days of applying we got to meet and take home our baby! Would recommend coming to this small but friendly rescue :)

We adopted Hamilton, a beagle who has lived his 8 years in a lab breeding facility. Hamilton has never been able to be a dog so life in a home is a huge adjustment for him. Baypath gave us all the information and support we needed to make his adjustment to our home successful for both him and our other pets. We are so lucky that Baypath helped in this historic rescue of beagles. Thank you for giving our family the sweetest, gentlest boy. We are so excited to be able to give him the life he has always deserved.

I have recently adopted two kittens from Bay Path and with assisted by Nikki Baltas. This experience was extremely wonderful and it is apparent how dedicated Nikki and the staff are to their animals and helping them find loving homes. I would recommend this Bay Path to friends and family that are looking to work with caring professional staff during an adoption process. A truly fantastic experience. We love our kittys!

Best shelter and staff to work with! I have two Baypath dogs, Bella and Barney. My husband and I have volunteered at the shelter, fostered dogs and many, many kittens over the years. Top notch organization with a dedicated and compassionate group of folks working and volunteering for the good of all the fur babies. Highly recommend!

Great place to go if you want to adopt a cat or dog. They do their due diligence and make sure everything is all set on both the adoption and the adopters experience. They will go out of their way to make sure you have all the information you need before you bring the animal home. I have three cats that we have adopted over the years. Awesome organization! One I suppose regularly. Adopted my boy Rudy from them 5 years ago on Christmas Eve. He was thrown into a dumpster in Brockton and was rescued. Best boy ever!!

HORRIBLE- They need to be called out on their actionsI applied to adopt a kitten and I was told I was approved but the kitten was already placed. Fine… then I inquired about the next one and then suddenly they are lookin up land records and claiming I’m lying on my application and I’m renting which means they need to speak to my landlord right away. I call them out on this and notice a ton of reviews commenting on similar experiences but it’s always followed with a heart felt apology so I call them. Oh gushing with we will make an appointment right away this kitten is yours only to have them call me 90 minutes later claiming the animal has diarrhea and they will call me as soon as the kitten is better. FINE… btw I’ve already lost an opportunity to foster a cat and a private sale at this point. FOUR days later I contact them only to have them leave me voicemails saying they’ve already had two potential families meet the animal today AND they are not willing to allow me to adopt one kitten since I have an older cat in the house now they are demanding I adopt two kittens which they do not have. My husband recalled a similar experience with them when he adopted their puppy at Baypath with the multiple families meeting his prospective puppy that day and all hell breaking loose with upset children. They were all present at the same time as well.Update we adopted a private sale kitten and low and behold the older cat and kitten have bonded after a lot of hard work and patience just as we expected and couldn’t be happier that we walked away from this shelter. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

So so thankful for Baypath, thanks to them I adopted my wonderful kitten Luna (formerly Berkeley). She was a formal feral kitten and while it took a few days for her to warm up to me and my resident cat it's clear she was well cared for and socialized by Baypath. They made her adoption as easy as possible while still making it clear they want all their wards to go to amazing homed. I could not recommend them more.

I TRIED to adopt a kitten. Baypath staff said he can't go home without ANOTHER CAT. I was going to buy two kittens. Then Baypath staff said, the kitten I wanted could not go home with the second cat I chose. In MY OPINION, BAYPATH HUMANE SOCIETY IS FORCING ADOPTEES TO TAKE HOME 2 CATS. I was looking for ONE CAT. When I emailed them yesterday 12-13-2023 they NEVER RESPONDED! This incident happened AFTER I jumped through hoops with the adoption application. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! THEY ARE CRUEL BY PRACTICING THAT WAY.

We got Luke there. One of the sweetest dogs in the world. He was weeks away from being put down at a kill shelter in Texas until Baypath rescued him. Highly recommend you check them out. Great knowledgeable people abd some amazing animals.

The staff, the mission, everything!!!!!!If I could give 10 stars I would!I’ve seen every side ofThis amazing rescue. From Fostering to adoption and even volunteering! And also participating in some great fundraising events! Very poor experience -- they told me that they had a cat with the personality I was looking for. The cat turnes out to be very different than expected and I had to return it them, and they refused to refund any adoption fees, and moreover were extremely unfriendly about it as if it were my fault that the cat was different than I was told.

Baypath makes adopting easy! Honestly ask other people how awful it can be to adopt an animal and they'll tell you. The adopting process went extremely well and I now have a new best friend! I once saw a qoute on their site that read "Small shelter, big heart" and that couldn't be truer for Baypath. Some of the hardest working people I know, that give their all and more; there is no short supply of the selfless care, time and compassion that goes into all that they do. And I am honored for being a part of it all, as a volunteer and a foster mom. I couldn't have done all that I have (and continue to do) without their support and guidance. I have been connected with them for over a year and a half now, and yet what I have received far outweighs all that I have done. Baypath reminds me that there is still good out in this world, that you can make a difference and no matter what, there's always something you can be doing to give back. Even the smallest act can make a change. To all the staff, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are all amazing, and I am truly glad I filled out that application way back....best decision I ever made.P.S. Thank you for Ada! Life is so much better with her in it!
