After cancelling 2 appointments for my dog to be groomed (one only 15 minutes prior to appointment!) I had decided to give them one more chance yesterday…big mistake. The groomer claimed my dog was too matted for her to groom and refused to take her in. I explained she wouldn’t be this bad had they not canceled the two previously scheduled appointments, and her matting was all the more reason why she needed to be done. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BRING MY DOG THERE! #3StrikesAndImOut

All employees were helpful when looking for specific items, store was clean, and definitely pet friendly. The price scanners were broken when I last went, and have been for a few months now. There is a beautiful bird named pixel in the back who is adorable. They do also have aquarium lights, but they are running low on florescent tubes and mainly have the LED options in stock.

I love shopping at petco. The customer service is a 10/10 rate the guy that's at the pet zone where the birds and guinea pigs are at with the blue eyes and beard. (I forget his name all the time) he is excellent. Very patient and knowledgeable. Always giving me tips in how yo care for my pets and suggesting the best products for my pets care. Always love to see him and talk about how my pets are doing.

We went to the groomer at Petco for the first time today and everyone was so friendly; Destiny was our groomer and she had a wonderful personality, our dog Princess loved her right away! She did a fantastic job too; our dog was a rescue from a shelter and not the cleanest…. But came out sparkling and dazzling, soft, clean, comfy and happy! She wasn’t even interested in leaving at the end 😆 I love that we will have the same groomer next time we come in and Princess will feel comfortable with her. The adorable bandana was a nice touch and even the bill looked cute lol. This was a great experience and we’re very happy!

I like it better than any other pet store but the prices are outrageous. Everything is expensive right now for humans let alone for pets. If the prices were a lot lower then there would not be as many dogs and cats in shelters hoping to be adopted and not euthanized because of age or length of time waiting to be adopted. You will make even more money if you lowered your prices to be more affordable for humans to spoil their pets/family members.Thank you for taking the time to read this and may God Bless You

Vetco Vet & Vet tech were awesome. Very informative but also fast and to the point. Took great care of my buddy, definitely will use Vetco services again at Petco.

We just found out that our dog was abused by Brandi, a groomer, at this location. Do not have your dog groomed here unless you want your pet abused. Bruises around his neck as if he’s been choked. Irritated eyes from the soap, broken and bloody paws and nails. This groomer needs to be fired.

I came here to get my dad's dog the rabies shot. It was very easy to make an appointment online, and Petco texted me reminders for the appointment. When I got there I still needed to wait in line, but once I got to the counter to sign in, they took my dog immediately and gave him the shot. The staff at the checkout counter was nice and they helped me find dog poop bags when I couldn't find it. Overall smooth experience at this Petco.

very understaffed and poor care for the animals. I felt so bad for the poor desert tarantulas sitting in wet enclosures. A curly hair was wedged in the top of its enclosure to try to get fresh air.

'Helped by Dan' - condition of the store today was visibly disgusting. Flattened, dried up poop everywhere. Long trails of dripped filth down every aisle. Zero regard for pet or human hygiene. Dealt watch 'Dan' at checkout, what a guy. Does not have the correct temperament or attitude necessary for a retail employee. Overall pathetic experience. This place is the worst. Would give zero stars if I could.

I went to Petco Holyoke today and I was horrified! The strong amount of ammonia coming from multiple cages that not a lot of animals were in and how dirty EVERY CAGE is from the ferrets, birds, chinchillas, hamsters, rats, gerbils, etc! Even the frog and lizard cages were nasty and the fake trees and stuff were laying down and not properly set up! As a huge animal lover this upsets me! These animals deserve to be properly taken care of until they go to their forever home and this staff certainly isn’t doing this!

Went to petco to buy my kiddos a bday present. Lexi the women who helped us was wonderful! Help me find everything I needed and so much more! She helped me keep it a secret while still shopping with my son.We have a chameleon already, so he just thought we were getting him a new home but now he's happy to have added skillet to the family. My dog went here to get groomed since his normal groomer didn’t do teeth brushing, and we thought we would give Petco a chance just this one time. Little did we know that our dog would be traumatized when we got him back. He went in calm and normal like he is for his other groomer; we were expecting similar care for him but unfortunately ended up with a dog who got home not acting at all like himself. My dog came home with half of his body groomed, his nails untrimmed, his eyes bloodshot, and an awfully choppy haircut. And when I say only half of his body, I mean literally his whole upper half from the middle of his back up was not touched. Right when we got him home, we noticed something was off. He did not come when we called his name and would not accept treats, but he drank a large amount of water in an extremely short time, which leads me to believe they did not supply him with any for the hours he was there. This dog is normally not a dog who bites or has any other problems getting groomed at his usual groomer and comes home excited, happy, and hydrated. We will never come back or give Petco a cent more of our money. Other than the obvious mistreatment and disregard for our animal, at the end of the appointment, we were charged $100+ for a half-groomed and now traumatized dog. Don’t go here; the groomers do not know what they are doing and will mistreat your dogs!

Worst Petco I have ever been to. Stay far away!!!! All staff stand around at the registers and roll their eyes when customers arrive. 3 employees watched my daughter struggle to carry in a fish tank and no one offered to help. Cashier was extremely rude and would cut us off anytime we tried to talk. A lot of dead fish in the tanks

If you choose "repeat delivery" make sure you pay attention to the delivery choices on the petco app. Unfortunately I did not and learned the hard way. I came home from work at 9pm to find a plastic bag with 7 bags of treats in it a couple of which had been chewed into from the wildlife while it sat outside my door for 9 hours. Petco turns on Door dash as your default delivery choice even if you are not aware that it's even a choice. So do not assume your shipment will arrive UPS as it has in the past. As a result of today's experience, I have canceled all repeat deliveries from petco.
