Pik-a-Pip was awesome. The staff were extraordinarily friendly--with both us, and the animals. There is an on-site vet, which was awesome to know; they also kept him for two weeks to ensure that he didn't acquire kennel cough and to be fully de-wormed. And it seemed the staff knew not just about the puppies themselves, but were familiar with the personalities of each individual pup--and boy howdy, our pup sure does have a personality. They informed us about the breed itself, and let us put a down-payment on the pup so we could go home and research the breed more without worrying that he would be bought by someone else.It was just an awesome experience.I noticed some reviews from years ago that said it was a puppy mill; I'd also heard folks I'd mentioned it to say it used to be a puppy mill. But, I can attest with full confidence that Pik-A-Pup certainly isn't a puppy mill. Not even close. (It was a heck of a lot more ethical and had a heck of a lot better conditions than all the shelters we looked at.) My partner and I went home with a happy, healthy--pretty weird, so he fits right in--Vizsla named Floyd.

I got my amazing pup 6 years ago! Hes a little morkie and we love him! the staff was awesome the place was very clean! We have not had any issues with are pup! Hes doing great and healthy as can be! They gave me documents of all his shots and his birth mom and dad when we got him! they had no problem with me picking up the pup and playing with him before we bought him! They did make me wash my hands which i could understand. Then i got to play with him before we bought him! Ever since we have been one happy familyđŸ˜ŠđŸ¶đŸ’‘

We got our bogle puppy here and she has been an amazing addition to our family. The place was clean and the pups were happy and well cared for. They will take the puppies out of their pens to let you hold them and play with them. We made several visits and the staff were always kind and very knowledgeable. You can research the breeders that the puppies come from and they are reputable. It is not easy to adopt from shelters these days. In my opinion, the shelter workers were the rude ones and very intrusive in wanting to “approve” all family members, the other dogs in your home and even inspect your home to make sure it is suitable. We love this place and will be adopting another dog as a companion to our bogle soon.

We purchased our 3 month old Teddy-bear from Pik-a-Pup 2 Weeks ago and it was a wonderful experience. The facility was very neat and clean. The employees at Pik-a-Pup were very knowledgeable about the animals and good with them. They gave us as much time as we wanted and didn't try to rush us or push the sale. We took our pup to our vet and the puppy has a clean bill of health. We couldn't be happier! I highly recommend Pik-a-Pup.

The staff was friendly and fairly informative. Recently got a Siberian Husky from here. He is a welcome addition to the family and a very good boy. However you're not allowed to pet the puppies or dogs unless you plan on committing to buy. The prices are exceptionally High especially for a mixed breed dog that I went to look at. Did not go there for a husky. I'm an experienced large breed dog owner and the Husky was in good shape and healthy. Was confirmed by my vet as .well. the four month old husky was $1,000. If they're under 4 months old the prices are ridiculous. Other than that I am happy with my purchase and again my puppy is healthy.

AWFUL SERVICE. Terribly argumentative, cranky, and rude staff about a dog leaning over the kennel wall and licking US. Furthermore, I did purchase my current dog from here 3 years ago and they would have had a sale if they could have managed not to be rude. She was cleaning while not communicating at all with any dogs like they were robots and, said "excuse me" to me and as she turned. I stated "I'm sorry I didn't see you" , to which she replied by rolling her eyes. Shortly after, a puppy jumped up to the wall and his nose managed to reach the gentleman's hand I was with (both of us with hands OUT of the kennel crate) and she again accused me of touching it and stated "we have cameras". Cameras to show their dogs jumping up for much needed attention? Pretty much took that trip to be harassed and threatened as a customer. She continued stating "do not touch the puppies, (sarcastically) she told you at the desk" when in fact I was not. Needless to say, we walked out. Don't waste your time. They actually lost an existing customer today.

Staff was knowledgeable about my specific dog. Our girl is the sweetest puppy you will ever meet. Everywhere I go, people stop and tell me how cute and wonderful she is. Even doxie owners are amazed at how much she loves people. I was very happy with this business.

This place deserves 0 stars. We walked in and right away, we were told we could not touch the puppies. This place was very small and smelly. The puppies were in small pens with at least 5 other animals. The workers tried to cover up all the poop and urine with more paper. The dogs were all sick and had diarrhea and were just laying back in it. As for the workers, they were all EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful. If we went near the animals, we would be yelled at and as we left we were given the middle finger by the workers. I would not recommend buying any dog from this place as they come from puppy mills. If you are looking for a dog please buy it from a shelter or an actual breeder.

In 2011 March I went to pik a pup to get a pup. I got a beautiful little golden doodle .It was the best thing I have ever done. My dog Sonny is my best buddy I adore him . He is now 9 yrs old and has never had any serious health problems he is obedient and loving . pik a pup offers a great selection of healthy happy pups

We bought two dogs here. A Havanese and a Golden retriever. The names of the breeders were on the paperwork and we called to verify. Our Golden did throw up tons of woodshavings when we got home which required a vet visit and they were very nervous as they don't have much human interaction BUT they are not from puppy mills and definitely weren't "sick".We didn't want to rescue because we have small children. I'm so glad I put aside the bad reviews and checked it out. I couldn't ask for better dogs. Are the dogs a bit pricey? Yes but it's a business. If you can't afford to buy the dog you can't afford to own one.Are the conditions perfect, absolutely not but the dogs don't stay long they are in and out its just a temporary holding until they go to their homes :)Good work pik a pup but maybe rethink the wood shavings!

This place is a puppy mill. Our dog is inbred and has many health issues. Not only is the cost of these dogs out of control. Our vet Bill's have been ridiculous because she requires many visit and constant medication. If you support places like this you will help puppy mills continue to operate. Please try to rescue and help put an end to these places.

My puppy died today. He was only three years old. I'm surprised that he even made to a year. He was diagnosed with a portolsystemic liver shunt when he was just a few months old. When he was diagnosed, the vet said that he only had a few months left, so it's was tough for me knowing that each day could be his last. Not to mention that I had to drive about an hour each way just to pick up his medicines.Although mostly happy, his liver sometimes caused ammonia to travel up to his brain causing him to show extreme aggression to the point of biting and breaking skin. Dinner time was the absolute worst. Get within his field of vision, and prepare to be attacked. When your dog has a liver shunt, they can not ingest any protein meaning that even one serving of standard dog food that you buy at any pet store could kill them. You have to order them a special food that makes their breath stink more than usual and may cause constipation. That's another thing; when my dog was constipated was when he was most aggressive.Overall, Pik-A-Pup is a terrible place, for the puppies there and for the unsuspecting family looking for a new furry friend. They get all their dogs for puppy mills which kill most of the puppies along with the parents once they are too old to breed. I'd be surprised if those dogs ever even get to experience sunlight. If you don't care about the well-being of these dogs and wish to see more dogs suffer in the future, go ahead and buy a dog form Pik-A-Pup. If you care about dogs, even a little bit, go adopt from a rescue humane society. That is where I plan to get my new furry friend.

This place was extremely terrible! We walked in and it smelled terrible, first thing the ladie said was not to touch any of the dogs so we did not. While we were there we noticed the dogs were running around stepping all over their own poop and pee. Another puppy in a different room was in a corner shaking, he looked terrified and we thought that was strange. When we were about to walk out we said that we would not be getting a puppy from this kennel due to the conditions that we saw while being in there and the owner went crazy on us. She began yelling at us, swearing at us to get out, she was extremely rude and we told her not to disrespect us and she continued swearing at us and she called the police. While on the phone with the police, she told them that we came in to do drugs, she said we disrespected her, and were touching all her dogs. She also went to mention to the police on the phone that we were all either “blacks or mexicans” and that we were all harrasing her. MEANWHILE there is cameras all over the place that proof that we did not touch any of the dogs and clearly shows the owner herself harassing US instead. We were so upset that we decided to wait for the police to arrive to share our story. When the police arrived, she continued yelling at us even while we were all quiet. The officer had to yell at her to be quiet! NOT TO MENTION that during that whole situation of her yelling and swearing at us, she was carrying a poor puppy and the poor puppy was terrified barely holding on to her because she was more concerned about disrespecting us! Completely unprofessional place! I have read multiple reports of them selling sick animals and mistreating them! They NEED to be shut down! And according to reviews we are NOT the only customers that she has mistreated and threatened to call the cops on!

Went here looking for a dog. Saw some negative reviews, so wanted to be sure it was a good place. Turns out several years ago the ownership changed and the new guy is an upstanding guy and the dogs only come from good breeders. They were friendly and made good recommendations. The only thing I wish they had told us ahead of time is that you're allowed to physically play with a limit of three dogs....we didn't know that and almost missed out on the dog we ended up getting in the end on our fourth turn that we begged for. =)Otherwise, I'd recommend this place. All the dogs seemed great and well cared for. They also gave us a crate with our puppy, and no one tried to shove any accessories or food down our throats. The follow up call was great too!

This place is notorious for selling sick dogs, I purchased a German Shepherd which was brought in from Missouri, and she was infected with flu, she is in critical condition now, fighting to stay alive.Pick-a-pup is the reason why there are bad breeders thriving in the US. Please do not buy anything there, they are what is keeping bad animal health and treatment going on.Places like this also create new diseases due to over medicating the dogs before they leave and by treating them badly.

We got our 6 month old cavapoo from Pik-a-Pup 3 months ago and it was a wonderful experience. The facility was very neat and clean. The employees at Pik-a-Pup were very knowledgeable about the animals and good with them. They gave us as much time as we wanted with our puppy and didn't try to rush us or push the sale at all. They called and followed up on her the next day and at 6 weeks from her homecoming. Our puppy has had a clean bill of health and we couldn't be happier with her or Pik-a-Pup. I highly recommend Pik-a-Pup.

Totally recommend this place. The staff were well informed, friendly and polite. They said if we have any health issue on the puppy first visit just let them know. I don't understand the bad reviews at this place. My family had an amazing experience out there and we were treated so well. Definitely recommend Pikapup kennel.

I have recommended Pik-A-Pup to a few of my friends who were in search of a dog. I love this place. We bought our "Coco" when she was 10 weeks old and now she's over a year old. I love our dog and PikAPup is one of the best places to get puppies, they have a wide selection of registered healthy puppies along with the anything you need to make your puppy happy at his/her new home. If we were to buy another puppy, we would definitely go back there.

We could not be happier or more in love with our Pomsky. Pik-A-Pup is clean, nice and they are transparent about where they source their pups. Ripley is an absolute doll, we've had her for about 3 months now, and she has a fantastic temperament, and is in perfect health. The vet loves her, everyone who meets her loves her. Love you guys, thank you so much for this wonderful addition to our family!

The woman at the front desk was not welcoming and rude. She should NOT have a job at that place. A puppy was barking at us and the woman told us that if we touched the dog we needed to leave even though we were respecting the signs clearly posted all over the glass cages. The puppies were piled on top of each other and the place smelled horrible. These are awful conditions and this place should be shut down.

BUYER BEWARE!!! PUPPY MILL!!The puppies are from Puppy Mills and most all are sick..We bought a puppy from there. The poor thing had giardia, coxcydia and pneumonia. NOT TO MENTION- Aggressive Behavior!!I contacted the owner and her response simply was- “ She didn’t get it from here”It s dirty and the owner is aweful.. It’s cost us $$$$$$ in Vet bills and Obedience Classes and she takes zero responsibility.Please- don’t buy from here... You will regret it!!!

This is the best place it was a puppy mill before but after that the place got much better and new nicer staff I got my Pomeranian puppy and she was so sweet I loved her so much this deserves 5 stars. It probably might be a lot of vet bills but when they take the dogs vaccine it will not be sick anymore

Terrible place! I wanted to welcome my first puppy in my family and as soon as I walked in, boom a lady yells at me warning me not to touch the puppies! Then me any my family walk around look at the puppies and the nastiness and condition of the place is beyond gross. The puppies were piled on top of another and as I was standing there looking, a lady says “ are you gonna buy one” with a nasty looks. Me and my family just look at eachother and slowly walk out. The lady starts swearing at us as she thinks it’s our fault we don’t wanna buy one . The pups were lying on their diarrhea and pee which she went, grabbed newspapers and covered acting like everything’s fine . I could not rant enough about how bad this place is! DO NOT ENTER UNLESS YOU WANT RUDE PEOPLE TO SWEAR AT YOUR FOR BEING AS CLOSE AS 10 FT FROM THE DOGS!

Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES buy your dog here.!This place sells diseased dogs. Dogs infected with Parvo virus. We bought an 8 week Labradoodle we named SASHA on a SatUrday. When we brought her to our vet on tueday we were told that the dog had Parvo virus and didn't expect to live long. The store also sold the dog's brother and he wAs infected also. the 2 dogs died a few days later.Although they refunded the purchase price (over 800 dollars) they did not reimburse us for all the vet bills we incurred with Sasha and my other dog BENTLY who got very sick as well.My young daughter was devestated. she kept calling to see if Sasha was doing better and the owner had no compassion at all.tO THEM THIS IS ALL ABOUT THE BUCKS.i HAD TO BLEACH MY WHOLE HOUSE TO GET RID OF THE VIRUS.I wIll contact the better business bureau and the attorney generAls office. They should shut this puppy mill down. Who knows how many more diseased dogs will be sold to unsuspecting customers.DO NOT BUY YOUR DOG THERE!!!!

I bought 2 dogs from here 10 years ago and they’ve both had a slew of problems. The dogs freely urinate and defecate in their crate and it can go on for months until you adopt them and then you CANNOT remove that behavior. I tried with the second one, obedience class, crate train, everything and he recently died of kidney failure. The other dog all of a sudden stop walking on her hind legs one day right in front of me and $7k later I found out she had FCE (they were guessing) but she’s been paralyzed for 4 years now. The quality of these dogs are not great. They are in-breds and/or develop severe behavior problems that the owner cannot rid them of! Adopt or buy from a breeder!

I had a one year old Boston Terrier named Bruin and was itching to get him a sister to play with. My cousin sent me a picture of Bailey that Pik-A-Pup had posted on facebook saying she would be ready to go home the following day. She was the cutest thing and I loved her brindle coloring! I called and the staff was so helpful providing me with all of the info on her I requested. I went in the next day and automatically fell in love! The staff at Pik A Pup were completely transparent about the process and were very helpful. They explained everything to me and provided me with details about Bailey's breeder and blood line. I thought it was awesome that they would reimburse me for any non accidental health issues for Bailey in her first year. I specifically asked about cherry eye figuring that because Boston's are prone to getting it they would not cover the surgery (which is very pricey! Bruin had to have it on both eyes) but they informed me that they would in fact reimburse for that surgery charge in that period of time. That put my mind at ease but I didn't need to worry, Bailey never had a problem! She is healthy as can be! So thankful for her and for my experience with Pik A Pup! Life wouldn't be the same without her! Bruin and Bailey are the best of friends! They play and cuddle all day long. Bailey has been a great addition to our family.

This place honestly disgusts and saddens me. Walked in to an extremely small building in which 10+ dogs are kept in a tiny pen, quite literally jumping on eachother to get the attention of people that walk in. You are not allowed to touch any of the dogs unless you are ready to purchase a dog, how are you supposed to make a decision on a dog without interacting with it? The staff was pretty rude and claimed the reason for this rule was to prevent spreading of germs.. yet having 10+ dogs on top of eachother and eating from the same bucket of food seems like just as great an opportunity for “germs”. The concept of these rules make no sense and it’s clear this establishment is one with the pure intention of making money rather than ensuring a high quality of life for the dogs they sell.

The people who work here are super helpful and knowledgeable, and that is what I was looking for. You can tell they are truly dog lovers. They friendly and always helpful when you ask them questions. The wall of dog pictures who went home, really makes my day.I love seeing a local business like this. Most reasonable prices, much lower than what I have been seeing. Recommend them to everyone I know.

Stumbled upon this gem a few years back for my first two dogs. Staff was very friendly at the time and plenty of cute pups to choose from.I gave them a visit today and the staff was stand off-ish and snappy. I’m taking my business elsewhere.
