Holden Vet have been amazing to us. We moved to USA with our 2 dogs back in 2017 and we brought our 2 dogs (Schnauzer mix and Boxer mix) with us. Our experiences with veterinary clinics in the USA was awful, until we got to Holden Vet. For the first time we found people trying to care for our dogs and not trying do dig a hole in the wallet for the sake of business, and a big shout to Dr Bridget D'Onofrio who was our primary Dr for both doggos. After 5 years in USA, we lost the Schnauzer to cancer, and it was heart-breaking. Among all the sadness we got a letter with signatures from the staff with kind words that shine of light at a difficult time, thanks for your humanity.OK!! it gets better, we decided to move with our Boxer back home where sun shines 365 days a year and we never go below 70 degrees. Dr Danielle Friend helped us getting him ready, finding the right steps and working with us and our agency abroad to prepare Bambu (Boxer). He needed last minute corrections on some certificates, and they went far and beyond to help us. I am so used to people just saying not our problem, that I though we were having to cancel the flight, but all the staff ran to help us get everything we needed, always with a great attitude, and enable us to bring our little giant to Costa Rica safe and sound.Thanks so much, while I won’t be visiting anytime soon, I can only say you are all amazing people and professionals.

My experience with Holden Veterinary over the past several months has been wonderful. They do a wonderful job explaining any concerns that they have to me, and they are wonderful to my cats. The waiting room is friendly and the receptionists were so welcoming. I would absolutely recommend this office!

Absolutely amazing place. The front desk staff is amazing and SO kind when ever they pick up the phone. Huge PLUS. The techs and vets are equally as amazing and just so brilliant and caring. My husband says Dr friend is “nice with it” aka just so good at what she does with out having to do a whole lot. LOL. Also the new thrive program is unbelievably helpful. Can’t say enough great things about this clinic.

I initially chose Holden Vet Clinic because after calling 3 other clinics, they were able to get my newly adopted kittens in for a wellness visit the fastest (3 weeks instead of 2.5 mos!). When we went for our visit, I loved the "family owned" feel and service so much more than the VCA clinic I've taken my pets to for the past 25 years. They have good COVID protocols and allow one pet parent in for visits, but also offer curbside if you prefer.The staff was friendly and helpful, and the energy in the clinic was calm, warm, and welcoming, not hectic and sterile feeling. After meeting Dr. Casey, who I loved, and seeing how she and the techs loved what they do and the fur babies they care for, I immediately switched my older kitty of 16 years to Holden Vet Clinic as well. It's not the closest vet clinic to my home, but it's worth the drive and I highly recommend them! I only wish I found them sooner!

The staff and vets have been amazing here. They care about their patients and I usually get follow up calls checking in on how things are going. My dog is definitely a hot mess so I am here pretty frequently for all his issues. The vet always takes time to explain to me what’s happening and talk through our options for medication. When I first started going here they were able to diagnose my dogs condition, which my previous vet missed /overlooked for a long time. Really can’t say enough good things, would recommend this vet clinic to anyone.

Dr. Friend was so helpful and attentive during my first visit with my fur babies. She took the time to research my dog's rare-ish condition, and sent me reading material so I could learn what she was learning. I really appreciated that kind of extra attention. We're very happy we made the switch!

The staff at this clinic are friendly and genuinely care for their patients and their families. Whenever my dog has an issue they try to get us in right away and after treatment we get follow-up calls almost daily until he is recovered. We haven't have to visit them very often because during his yearly physicals we discuss proper care and vaccinations that will keep him healthy all year long. We truly appreciate the dedication this staff has for animal care. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!

Both Bodhi (my dog) and I absolutely love everyone here. Everyone is kind, attentive and so informative. Bodhi starts crying and wagging his tail the second we pull into the parking lot. He is just finishing up his heartworm treatment and cannot rave enough about how wonderful everyone has been. They’ve even assisted me in having some of his treatments and medications covered. I wouldn’t take him anywhere else. My family has used Holden for our cats and our dogs for the last 15+ years. We just love everyone and the exceptional care they give.

You will NEVER find another clinic like Holden Vet. I was referred to Holden Vet from a friend a few years ago who I know loves their pets just as much as I do and I'm so so so glad I went. The staff, from the ladies who greet you, to the techs, to the doctors are the most patient, understanding and caring group of individuals I have ever met. Your not just a client! They care for every pet and pet owner individually and treat them all special. Even when my little guy was sick and we were worried he may not make it they called us to assure us it would be a long road but that they'd be with us every step of the way and that he would be okay. My gratitude and appreciation for the doctors and team at Holden Vet makes it hard to imagine Beansy be treated anywhere else.

They have always provided the best expertise and care to all of our dogs. Everyone is very friendly and professional. However, getting into this place is what I imagine its like getting into the White House. I can understand extra precautions due to covid, but they are extreme here. You call from the parking lot, are told someone will call you back (which takes at least 5-10 mins), then that person asks you a ton of questions, after which is more waiting in the parking lot and then finally a tech comes out to bring you in. I spent an obscene amount of money on my dog at her first visit here. Again, the staff is very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. My 3 stars is more so for the wait times and price tag.

After relocating from Seattle we face the challenge of finding veterinary care for our 3 senior dogs, 2 dachshunds and a basset.We are thrilled to have found Holden Veterinary Clinic. Having three geriatric patients 🐾🐾🐾 we are no strangers to veterinary care. From the moment we step into the office we feel confident that our dogs willl receive the BEST care, and we have yet to be disappointed. Each doctor has treated us with the upmost professionalism and compassion. My 1 star is for the people who continue to keep this place so busy that they are willing to wait over a month to get in for a wellness visit. It's literally a thermometer up the rear-end, a check of the gums, a measure of the weight, and an administration of a few shots. To get in and do that takes over a month of waiting? Why would you people keep going?Other vets have MUCH shorter wait lists, and Banfield allows walk-ins! This is Massachusetts, you have other options you know?When I told the receptionist, "No thanks, I'll just call around and try to get in someplace else sooner"; she hung up on me. Very first place I called made an appointment for next week. Good enough! Bye bye HVC. Clearly you have more business than you can handle anyway.Aside from that, the nurses and doctors are very nice and caring here; but they are at other places too, so it certainly doesn't justify the month long booking out.

I can't say enough about the total package you receive by bringing your pet to Holden Vets! I live in Worcester and drive to Holden for my cat because they are full of love, very caring, easy easy easy to get an appt. if suddenly needed. They have a Dr. On call on wknds and after hours that will pick up any time. Very clean waiting room and treatment rooms! It's so compforting when you have a sick animal! Highly recommend it! Very few people are knowledgeable to handle exotics like chinchillas. Dr Downes has one of her own and is very knowledgeable and was super friendly. I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment and was immediately taken to the exam room. She answered all of my questions and I didn't feel rushed at all. If you have any kind of exotic pet I highly recommend this clinic.
