We have a puppy who needs socializing and they told us to bring her in and put her in a half day of daycare. Now we are taking evening puppy kindergarten classes there too. Very nice people. Skilled, and dog lovers. They even help local authorities by boarding dogs who need rescue.

We boarded our girls here for two weeks and it was the worst mistake. They came back absolutely filthy, beds soaked in urine, and one dog had a chunk taken out of her nose while my other dog was hoarse from whining/crying the whole time. When I came to pick them up there was another dog in what looked like solitary confinement sitting in a pool of its own urine. Would not recommend for boarding.

I did a lot of research before selecting a training school. I'm very glad I went with canine college. This was an excellent puppy kindergarten class. The teacher, Robin was very knowledgeable about dogs and did a great job teaching new puppy parents. I highly recommend.

If you want your dogs to be trained in a loving, caring environment, Canine College is the place to be! We needed to train our 2 huskies to be service dogs, and after I called so many facilities I called Canine college, and Robin told me:”We are it” (cause I had said I think you guys are it) What made me made this decision is how thorough they are with all our questions and concerns. They were able to fit us in right away and we started our 3 weeks residential training. During our 3 week me and my husband was sick and unable to make one of our weekly lessons, they even sent pictures to make us feel better! After 3 week, what a big difference! I have never seen my huskies this behaved. You can tell they are doing this with joy, their tails wags with each command. With how they interact with the trainers, you can also tell how they are loved and care for. I can’t say enough great things about this place, I am forever grateful with what Canine College did for us and our pups. Thank you!

The team here has done wonders over the last couple of years with our anxious, reactive rescue dog. Sean and Robin, along with the whole crew, have spent so much time helping to build his confidence and trust in humans, which has done so much for his ability to enjoy the outdoors, walks, hikes, and in general his quality of life. The facility is family owned. Everyone there has experience with and are comfortable working with larger reactive dogs. They are all gentle and welcoming. Due to his fear aggression, our dog was a bite risk, but the staff here were able to develop trust and handle him in a way no other boarding place was willing to do. The day care and boarding are large enclosures, outside, with only a few dogs each matched on temperament, so our dog actually started playing and making friends, which has never happened before. They have done so much for us and our pup, and we cannot recommend them enough!

My family was desperate for some training for our rescue - a 1 y/o Labrador-Beagle mix. She was pulling fiercely on walks, leaping on guests and scratching them, would chase rabbits and squirrels uncontrollably, would pull on leash near other dogs, destroy furniture and stuffed animals. Daisy is lovely, very affectionate but a wild little puppy.I could not spare time during the day to attend any kind of training lessons to bring her to heel. We found the two week residential training to be a good solid step. At one month out from her training, we have seen remarkable progress that has been well imprinted. We learned some things we had been doing wrong, learned corrections to both our and her behavior, and now we can open the front door without worrying about her running off for 4-8 hours out on the town. Recall is solid, and neighbors have noticed.Training seems to be a more traditional style, which may not appeal to some folks. I get that. We live in a different world these days, it seems. But EFFECTIVE is hard to outmatch. For a young family with children and rising expenses, this is a great option of first choice that will yield immediate and long lasting dividends. If you are not a Dual Income, No Kids (DINK) household, and you have serious bills to pay, and need to make a smart investment for value regarding dog training, I can strongly recommend Canine College to you. We got results, and it was worth every penny. This has secured Daisy's long term future with us after a rocky beginning, and I have Bruce, Diane and the team to thank for this.

My puppy Moutai was a stray and extremely fearful and sometimes fear aggressive. He was scared of everything, especially men and was unable to go on walks even with behavioral medication. He faced the risk of behavioral euthanasia twice as the shelters thought he was not adoptable nor curable. After two 8-week board and train at Canine college (12 months apart), he now walks with confidence and curiosity in our neighborhood. He is very well behaved on walks and we don’t have to use any special collar or forceful tools even though he is a strong 50lbs dog. As he was severely under socialized before his rescue, Canine college exposed him to a variety of trainers, dogs and even farm animals. They also did agility training with him to build confidence and let him sit in the office to be exposed to visitors. I would definitely recommend anyone with a ‘difficult’ case to choose Canine college, they have the resources, experience and time to rehabilitate dogs with severe behavioral challenges.

I picked my dog up after a 2 night stay, July 1st to July 3rd. He was picked up covered in dirt, limping and was extremely scared. I’ve never seen my dog like this. I brought him to the vet straight after and we found blood all over his paws, EACH PAW HAD BLOOD. We gave the poor thing water because he was extremely dehydrated, HE WENT THROUGH 2 GALLONS OF WATER IN ONE SITTING. I’m not done yet, about an hour later he had started throwing up constantly. This place is such a freaking disgrace, my dog hasn’t been able to sleep because he’s been whimpering in pain. If you love your dog dont ever bring them here, I’m disgusted.

My dog had an issue with barking at strangers out of fear/nervousness. After 5 lessons (1 per week) he was basically a new dog. Occasional bark now, but nothing like before where it was with every person he encountered. We also were able to work on his pulling and recall to the point where we had put him on a sharp collar, but by graduation he didn’t need it. Excellent training and helping me understand my pup’s behavior. I’ve already committed to resident training here in a few weeks while I’m on vacation to continue his training, I’m sure he will be a new pup at the end of it with how good they are

Please don’t ever bring your dog here my dog stayed here for 2 nights the second we Brought him out the car he threw up everywhere, he was also limping and covered in dirt. The reason he was limping was because all four of his paws had deep cuts. Also the workers were very rude when I picked him up. My dog has been crying since he got home he’s scared to go out or get up

This place is the worst! Not worth your money whatsoever! The manager and staff are not friendly AT ALL! They are super rude. I went to pick my Yorkie up and I thought maybe they just hadn't gotten around to him yet because he still looked the same as he did before I dropped him off. I asked the manger Robin (whom I believe is the manager) if they could perhaps have someone else do the job, thinking maybe the girl had just started and was inexperienced, but the manager pretty much laughed in my face and told me to leave. I was beyond disbelief for the way not only was my dog treated, but the way I was treated as well. Vey unprofessional and I'm pretty sure they do not give the animals clean water, as I noticed all of the bowls looked like dirty and slimy water. I would recommend anybody to go somewhere else.

My German Shepherd is currently being boarded there for a few weeks. He went in a aggressive towards people but we just went to visit him the other day and he's like a new dog. Before he had to be muzzled every where we went. Now he's around the owners worker's other customers no muzzle. Jack loves it their they take him out of his pen he gets to be outside with other dogs all around him. I was most impressed when I handed the leash back to the owner to put him away and Jack sat right down for him. I could not be happier. They're patient friendly and understanding. Bottom line highly recommend by me!!

We always take our Shiba here when we go on vacation because of how great they are. He’s very temperamental and getting on in years and they’re so good and patient with him. On my most recent trip with a busy morning check-in the owner let our dog hang out in an air conditioned enclosure rather than wait in line on leash. Much appreciated.

Honestly wanted to give this location a good review but after an incident and no call back from the owners I am beyond disappointed. My dog was injured during the 2 hour evaluation he had to see if he was a good fit for daycare almost a month ago. Now in the 2 hours he was there to see his interaction with the other dogs you would think they were watching him. When I went to pick him up his nose was bleeding. I asked how he was injured. They told me that they didn't know but they thought it might have been on the fence. After a couple hours my dogs nose started swelling and the vet suggested I brought him in. She told me she thought it was a puncture from another dogs tooth and he ended up on antibiotics and antihistamines for 7 days. When I called to inform the owner of what the vet said and tell them how much it costs the girl on the phone told me they would call me back and most likely cover the cost of the vet bill. Almost a month later and several failed attempts to get in touch with the owner I am stuck with this vet bill I had to settle due to their negligence. Someone should have been watching my dog and this whole issue should have been avoided. Not sure why they would have me bring him there for a 2 hour evaluation to just lock him in a kennel with other dogs and not watch him.

I had grooming done, although the staff was friendly my dog smelled good, as far as cut, it was not heard. Her cut was uneven, inside ears were not cut, the chest and stomach area was not groomed, and her paws still had tangles on them. Maybe training and boarding is there strong areas. I paid and tipped before seeing.

They do great work, outstanding at training dogs and their owners. We have been there with all of our dogs at one point or another over the last 20 years, and they have helped tremendously. They pretty much cover all the ground...puppy and group classes, individual lessons, training for specific jobs, etc. They also do boarding and grooming. This is a long-established family business that is very dedicated and knowledgeable.

I will start by saying that we have never used Canine College. Last night we were walking in the woods, behind Devon Wood, where we used to live. We had the 2 big dogs off the leash, as they are usually good. Some deer jumped up and their pack mentality took over. We search for 30 minutes. It was starting to get dark, and since I know those woods I took my wife to the car and went back in to search. An hour later, in Holbrook, I ran into a couple who told me their dad had the dogs and that they were at Canine College, which he owns. Unfortunately, both dogs have recently lost their tags, so anyone finding them would not know how to contact us. It was a scary and valuable lesson. Tags are ordered and not going to let both off leash, as they feed off each other. We made it to Canine College and got our dogs, thanks to the owners kindness and helpfulness. Now, we will be taking our dogs there when we go out of town. He proved to us that he truly cared for dogs.

I called in crisis two and half weeks ago looking for training for my puppy who is 7 months old (Boxer/ German Shepherd) who was going through terrible twos. It was hard to work in the house as he would bark, no one could walk him as he was barking and jumping on everyone.Bruce explained the process, I signed up for 2 weeks training on the spot and I dropped him off in 2 hours and I picked him up 2 days ago and WOW! This was the best thing I ever did for my family. Now I can take my pup to my trail run, without him barking or pulling. My kids actually want to walk him and he is just our best friend now and not a kid who no one wants to play with on the playground.Thank you Canine College! Your Team is amazing!

Not impressed left my dog last night for 3 week training. Two college student did the paperwork. Look like they had no clue what the dog will be trained on. Do not get a tour did not talk to a trainer. I have no confidence in the way it started.Where do the dog sleep ? Nobody can tell. Put them in cages outside but the night they will be indoor. I would like to have a tour an explanation for 2000k ???? . Keep on calling to see how he is coming but no luck yet. Will talk to them and will pick him up. Not a good vibe. So many bad reviews......scaryWill keep on writing more reviews so far not a single good impression

Great place for training/boarding. We sent our puppy, Guinness, there for a couple weeks and we're finally able to walk with confidence. His trainer, Sean, was excellent and truly loves dogs. They also posted photos of our pup upon request.

Bruce and crew are the best trainers and boarders around. Great facility super rates and the dogs enjoy their time there. We have had many dogs call Canine College home away from home. Highly recommended.

Do NOT reccomend this place at all. If I could give 0 reviews I would. My dogs boarded there a couple times and both times they came home smelling so bad of urine and one of my dogs acted as if he hadn't seen the outside in days. NEVER coming back here, save your money.

WARNING: THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS NOT SANITARY AND HAS HAD KENNEL COUGH WHICH HASN'T BEEN PROPERLY CLEANED! (This review was edited from its original version) Robin was beyond helpful and gave me so many tips with our free evaluation. I was looking forward to puppy kindergarten... all was well the first 2 weeks and then my puppy got very sick, he then got my 1 yr old bulldog VERY sick (he died less than a week later). I was BESIDE myself and spent $400+ on a respiratory test for the puppy to find out he had kennel cough!!! I called the owner Bruce immediately to warn him of the disease that clearly had come from his establishment (we are talking beginning COVID 19 quarantine for which I didn't leave my house AT ALL except for training/vet appts). I was extremely concerned because kennel cough is highly contagious and this was 2 days BEFORE Thanksgiving, when many people board their animals. He NEVER returned my calls... I called over and over again finally reaching him well after the holiday. He was curt, rude and very dismissive of my concerns and warnings. I explained that I was no longer comfortable coming to their facility and would like a full refund of my money for training (he wanted to pro rate for the 2 classes we took but I was out over $3000. Trying to save my other dogs life because of this - he had the nerve to ask me if I had done a necropsy to prove it was kennel cough!!!). He reluctantly agreed to return my tuition payment in full.... and here we are 5 1/2 months later (3 more phone calls in) and I STILL have not gotten my money back!!! Bruce is clearly all about the mighty dollar and couldn't care less about the health and well being of your fur babies. RIP Nipsy 11/17/2020 💔😢

Note: I have a B.S. in Veterinary Technology and understand concepts such as animal behavior, different training methods, and behavior modification techniques - I needed help putting this information into action from a professional, hence why I brought my dog here in the first place.Extremely disappointed with the experience here with my newly rescued dog. When I dropped him off for the 2 week residency training program I explained that I was looking for training with modern, humane techniques and was assured that those were the methods used here. I started to doubt my decision to leave my dog here when I made calls to see how he was doing - the staff gave short, although polite, replies without any details regarding his training progress. When I came back 1 week later for a training session/update, my dog was brought into the training room with a pinch collar on - something I never agreed to and specifically said I did not want used on him. The trainer became defensive, claimed that I never made this request, and that I did not know what I was talking about. I mentioned that I wanted to use a front-clip harness to discourage pulling on the leash for now and he went on to criticize me, claiming that harnesses are "no good" and that I don't have the ability to control my dog with a harness or even martingale (from here on out he became increasingly condescending, constantly claiming that he knew what he was doing and that I have the wrong mindset for what dog training is, etc.)Disappointed but hoping for some kind of positive outcome, we continued with the "lesson" and I asked him about any progress regarding meeting other dogs politely (my dog barks at others but is not aggressive). The trainer decided to bring in a few dogs and show me how to "control" mine around others by harshly pulling on the leash for a "correction" and then loosening the leash - again, not the method I was looking to use. Later on he brought in his own dog and had her meet mine (she was off-leash while he had mine on a leash). When things started to escalate he stated that he "won't be mad if he bit her" but soon after looped the leash in his hand and threatened to "hit your dog if he bites mine." What Kind of trainer threatens to hit a dog in any way, shape or form?? Extremely angered, I decided to take my dog home.Another thing - I noticed when I first saw him that he looked a little thin but assumed that he was simply running around and exercising on their multiple acres of land. I dropped him off with 6 bags of food - one bag only had enough for about 3 days. AFTER 1 WEEK, ONLY 1 BAG OF FOOD WAS USED. I gave them feeding instructions including how much/often he ate but I'm assuming they had no record of that as well. I also requested they bathe him and remove any ticks on him as he just got new flea/tick preventative and it didn't quite kick in yet before I brought him in - he smelled ok, but I brought him home with 2 ticks! Great!I'm not here to attack the training methods he uses - many people use pinch collars but that's just not the method I want to use to train my dog. I respect these training methods but as a business, they should have respected my decisions and requests as a dog owner. My dog came home without learning anything (as I suspected). I would discourage any and all from bringing their dogs here, and will look for another trainer elsewhere.*I also would not be surprised if this trainer tries to retaliate to this review in any way!

We recently enrolled our Rottweiler puppy in the daycare and kindergarten training program at canine college. This was my husbands first job ever, and after all that he learned working for them he made sure we would sign our puppy up here one day. It’s been about a month, and he absolutely loves it there. We signed him up the week after we got him, and he has since never shown aggression to another dog. He’s learned all of the commands taught in kindergarten. I especially like that the staff takes pictures of my puppy playing with all his friends on their Facebook page so I can see him when he’s gone all day! Not to mention, they have the best prices around. They all love my Gino there and it’s nice to leave him with people who are so happy to see him

After two weeks of residential training at Canine College I noticed a huge improvement in my dog Cruz's behavior. Thank you Bruce and Robin for the time and effort you both put into training Cruz and teaching us how to better handle him. He is now a more relaxed , well behaved dog. Thank you!
