I have been taking my kitties to the Family Vet Center for years and they are very kind, friendly and professional. Their prices are reasonable and they don't pressure you to do tests etc that are not necessary. Luna was a happy guy after his visit. Highly recommend!

Dr. Allen is a great chiropractor, and my dog feels so much better after being adjusted. I see a change in his behavior (less-no pulling), and he was much calmer and settled down quite well after the chiropractor adjustment!!Many Vets claim to do chiropractic work, but they just use a spring loaded tool to apply along the dog’s back, which can possibly help along the spine.Dr. Allen does a chiropractic adjustment that’s based on his assessment, after a hands on evaluation, of what bones are out of alignment. For my dog, he usually does an adjustment high up on his neck, and down on the sacrum/pelvis. The top, and bottom ends of the spine. It’s similar to what my chiropractic adjustments are like. I believe that the spring loaded device can’t detect, or adjust the cervical (neck) vertebrae, C2 for example, or his sacroiliacjoint (pelvic/sacral) area. Dr Allen is a very talented, and friendly veterinarian. My dog is a service dog, and is required to be in tip top shape in order to do his job properly. He loves the adjustments because he feels sooo much better after each appointment.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Allen, for chiropractic treatments, to help your four legged baby feel the very BEST that they can!!

They're very professional, trustworthy and kind! My cat Jaxon got a pretty big dental surgery there. The place we adopted Jaxon from didn't tell us his teeth were rotting and infected. That vet offered a free surgery but I didn't trust them, so we went to Family Veterinary Center instead. It costed a lot, which is expected from surgery, but they did a fantastic job and Jaxon is completely healthy and happy!

Legitimately traumatic experiences for both me and my dog, increasingly more awful every appointment we came in for. She's never had issues this intense, and my repeatedly trusting this clinic in the past has caused insurmountable damage to both of us. Whereas she was simply anxious about a nail trim before, she has become outright hostile about her paws being touched at all after multiple visits and attempts at this clinic. Cold, uncaring staff (specifically the vet tech, every time) who ignored and outright scoffed at me.

Our "Liv" needed surgery right away, and Dr.'s Karlin and Allen provided great care and post surgery advice. They were personable and respected our financial constraints as we discussed the best options for our girl. We cannot thank you and your staff enough for the care and attention for our much loved patient, and for all of us in our family. Liv is back home and on the mend. Thanks to all!

When our rescued Pitbull was diagnosed with Lymphoma, we went to Family Vet for a second opinion. We were so impressed by Dr Robin that we switched all 4 of our dogs to her.The information she gave us about Lymphoma was in far greater detail then our own vet had given us and we had been going there for several years. After listening to Dr Robin it became clear that our original vet misdiagnosed our dog.Not only did we save our dog from the trauma of a biopsy but it saved us considerable money as well. We're now several years later and our dog is very happy and healthy. We can't say enough for Family Veterinary Center and the whole staff.We have recommended them to friends who are now clients as well.

I have been going to family vet center for almost 20 years !! I have brought all my rescue greyhounds there and I coukd not be any happier with their services . I have adopted multiple rescue dogs over the years . I have always been impressed with the clinical expertise of Dr Bud and Dr Robin . They are well versed in the most up to date treatments , both traditional and holistic . Dr Bud was able to perform acupuncture on one of my greys , who was in great pain from her running days . These treatments were so effective she no longer needed pain meds ! And during the treatments , it was so relaxing that she usually fell asleep with the needles in !! Dr Robin is especially kind and compassionate , beginning to end . As any pet owner knows , there comes a time when we have to make that heartbreaking decision to end our pets suffering . Dr Robin came to my home to help my Marlie to the rainbow bridge . She was so very kind , gentle and truly cared that my pet and my family were taken care of in the most compassionate way . I will forever be grateful that she made a heartbreaking day a little more bearable . The vet tech staff are also extremely helpful , polite and kind . I highly recommend this practice and I will always bring my pets there !!

Very friendly, they always make an effort to get you in as quick as possible. We're more than willing to drive the extra minutes for the far better experience than the vca closer to home. Dr bud's acupuncture has been a blessing for our large breed dog after his knee surgery it really helps him move like he's 2 again

Family Vet Center is a caring and organized vet. We've been very happy with their services since moving here a couple of years ago. Our two dogs (one young and one senior) LOVE them and even our anxious dog runs to the door to sit on the vet's feet and await treats. I have never felt like I'm being pushed to buy services or products we don't need. We also go there for nail trims for our anxious dog and he does very well with it (we can't do it alone at home).

The team is always a pleasure to deal with, dependable, knowledgeable and excellent communicators.Plus, it’s the only place in The Valley to get PennHip radiographs and, to my knowledge, to get canine chiropractic care which has been wonderful for several of our dogs! 5 stars all the way!

Family Vet, Dr Bud Allen, was quick to respond to a concern of an injury to my 3 yr. old Aussie pup, in spite of her not being a regular client. His chiropractic exam and advice, were instrumental in her healing and returning to normal activity. He also called in Dr. Karlin to consult on another issue for which we had not scheduled an appointment.Their dedication, to the health and well being of our animals, is truly evident throughout the entire facility.

The staff at Family Veterinary Center is extremely kind and knowledgeable. They have never kept us waiting for our appointments, the office staff schedules appointments appropriately so that you are placed in a room within five minutes of arriving. Dr. Bud Allen has been absolutely wonderful with our older beagle. Since we have been seeing him for chiropractic and acupuncture she has been able to move better, even running around the yard at times like a pup. I would highly recommend this practice to all who love their pets.

After having really bad experiences with incapable vets in the Boston area, we have been nothing but happy and shocked with the level of professionalism and competence with the employees here since moving to the area. They handle our rescue dog so well, taking time to pet him, play with him, and giving him a level of care he’s never had at any other vet we’ve tried. They take their time explaining things to us, guiding us through, and answering all our questions. We never feel rushed out, or taken advantage of. These people really love pets, and they know what they’re doing. Is it bad that I actually look forward to the days when we bring our dog to the vet to pick up his treatments? He definitely gets excited too, they shower him with treats.

I started going to Family Veterinary the day I received a sympathy card for the death of my dog and no bill. My dog, Lian, was hit by a car and we ended up at Family Vet because it was the closest place. Lian could not be saved and had to be released right there. I took her body home with me and buried her. Within the week I received a card from the staff but was never billed. That was 14 years ago. When we got our new puppy, I took her to Robin who has been her vet all her life. The staff is great. They make sure I get in for routine check-ups but do not over prescribe or suggest a lot of tests. I have full confidence in them all and highly recommend them. They had a great groomer for years who recently retired, if they find someone else as good as her, I'd give them even another star!

First time visit to Haydenville Family Vet with Ember, my cat. I found the staff to be very kind and compassionate, and took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. The technician that worked with us, was very knowledgeable, and informed of current studies that I was not aware of. They also offer chiropractic treatments as well. I will be a long time customer with Haydenville Family Vet.

Dr. Bud Allen is amazing. My 6-year-old German Shepherd is anxious and shy around veterinarians, but not so much around him! He has adjusted her twice now and is very involved in her care and growth. So happy to have found him under a recommendation from another GSD owner. I travel 50+ minutes to bring my girl here! I highly recommend Dr. Bud.

Dr. Allen was great! He diagnosed my dog's problems and performed a couple of maneuvers on his neck. It was amazing the improvement he showed with just one visit. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to go back for another adjustment.

Client for the past 20 years. From 5 dogs, now down to one. Would never consider going anywhere else. This past year vet tech Krystal has gone over and above to help this old dinosaur out with helping me apply for rebates for meds our dog needs, because I don't know how to use computer to access them. The front of any vet office is the first impression and you can't beat family Vet. Robin and Bud are wonderful but they should also be commended for the quality of their staff! Linda Mscisz & BB GUN

Dr. Bud is a miracle worker! My dog, Killian, had problems with his knee and was told (by another vet) that he would need to take pain pills for the rest of his life. Looking for a better outcome, I went the Family Veterinary Center. Even after Killian's first chiro/acupuncture visit, he was off pain meds, walking and running again and hasn't taken a pain pill in a year!!!The staff is very welcoming and kind. The place is very clean. I can not recommend them enough!!! Definitely worth a visit!

We have been clients at Family for many years and have had many dogs over the years. Most live long good lives with exception of some early life threatening illnesses.Once again at 17 our dear Maxwell reach his time to cross the bridge, Robin the owner and Cat an irreplaceable assistant again helped us manage to keep Max comfortable and at ease also us. To come to us in or vehicle to see Max off which is not the 1st time, is compassionate to all.We thank them.

When I say everyone is pleasant, that is an understatement. The staff is fantastic. We see Dr. Bud for chiropractic for our dog. Thanks to Dr. Bud and his adjustments, our dog is no longer on pain meds. That's a big deal for us (and a huge money saver). YAY for Family Veterinary Center.

Family vet center does it all.We’ve taken two dogs there over the past 10 years many times. They have advanced skill and technology to deal with any of the pets issues.One of our pets had pretty bad arthritis and they provided many different opportunities for treatment.They’re not cheap but they are not incredibly expensive. You pay for what you get when it comes to animal care.On a final note the family vet center has helped us put down both of our dogs. They do both house calls and at the facility for the service. They are very compassionate to the pets and the owners.Also every time I’ve called Dave generally figured out someway to treat the pet within a day.

I have been bringing dogs to Robin and Bud for about 25 years they have done everything from yearly exams, stitching up a nasty bite and acupuncture. Very professional and caring as are their staff. They have the greatest vet tech at this time.
