Always have had a good experience at this store. Can always find what I am looking for.Purchased a Toro snow thrower at this store 3 yrs ago. Day before a snow storm I found I was not able to start it. Called thinking I probably wouldn’t get any help…boy was I wrong. Spoke to John J. and he told me to bring it in. As I was unable to lift the Toro myself he offered to come out to look at it. Within 15 mins he was at my house. Took Toro back to store and less than a half hour I received a call that it was all set and drove it back to my house. He took the time to go over how to start it. I have never received this type of awesome service from anyone on the Cape. John saved the day for me. So thankful!! Thank you again John. You rock!!

Store has a great selection of hardware and home products, but have to say service could be better. Ordered a gallon of stain on the Ben Moore site to pick up. No sign when you come in for pickups. (Baskin on 134 has a well-labeled shelf next to the front door.) The employee (not one of the younger ones, who all seem eager to help) said he didn’t know of an order and asked if I ordered it at the decorating store in town… uh, no. Well then did I just order it a minute ago? Uh, no, I got an email it was ready. Show him the email… oh, you ordered it from Ben Moore, not online. Well, I ordered online, from Ben Moore, which is the search result that comes up first. Really unnecessary to assume the customer is a dummy when the real issue is a lack of thinking through how to deal with online orders, not to mention customer service basics. Have never been treated this way at Baskin on 134 and they’ll get all my future business.

I'd like to take a moment here to recommend everyone who needs some help with small or large home projects to go to this store. The staff are attentive, resourceful and quick! John and Matt has helped me out in many occasions, from party rentals to power tool rentals and more. They are very knowledgeable and always went the extra mile to help a customer out. Special thanks goes to Matt. If you have questions about paint or planning to paint your house, go to Matt first. You will not be disappointed. As a matter of fact, Matt is the go to guy for anything! Matt went above and beyond in many occasions. He has corrected other stores gallon(s) of paint that was mixed incorrectly for me, custome matched many paints and stains perfectly! Super helpful and friendly staff. I didn't need much, but they had what I needed and didn't make me feel like a nuisance for asking for just a few bolts and some line. I moved right around the corner so I will be back for my next project. They were also nice to my young kids and seemed to take the covid precautions very seriously, signs everywhere, staff wearing masks properly, sanitizer readily available and a dedicated in and dedicated out door to lessen that awkward distance yet wanting to hold the door for the person entering while you're exiting.

Staff not very helpful. Very poor attitudes. Prices are consistently higher than the prices shown online. They would not honor the advertised online price and had no explanation for why the prices were higher.. If you need to shop here out of convenience, you can save money by purchasing online and picking it up your items in the store for the lower online prices. If "Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man" it's not at this store.

Very rude manager/owner. Had called to ask about whether they had ACs. They said yes and offered to hold one until they closed. Got there 10 minutes before closing and they had sold all of them. They were very unapologetic and have horrible customer service. They should have honored their word. Also, the one on White’s Path the person was rude as well. Won’t be returning to either of those. Would have given 0 stars if possible. Not only was the manager/owner rude he was expecting his staff to deliver the bad news to us rather than taking responsibility as a business owner, poor leadership. Should not hold items if they intend to sell when it becomes more convenient.

I always try to support small businesses but when I came in a few weeks ago looking for an item the guy working there acted like I was inconveniencing him by asking where I could find it. Ace can't compete with Home Depot and Lowe's on price so I go there for the service. If they can't offer that there's no benefit to going to them over the big box stores. I ended up at Home Depot and easily found what I needed and had several employees ask if they could help.

They sell coffee makers and filters here. No one believed me when I said Ace would probably have it when the rental house didn't have one. My family owes me money because everyone bet they wouldn't have a coffee maker.
