My wife and I brought our new kitten to the Hardwick Pond Vet Center last week for routine vaccinations. We had stated that she had been sneezing a lot, had diarrhea and also that her eyes were ‘gunky’. The husband/wife team gave her the required vaccinations, some ointment for her conjunctivitis and an otherwise healthy overview. “A healthy kitten.” Less than a week later, she spent all day vomiting. Sunday morning it continued so we brought her to the emergency veterinary clinic in North Grafton, MA(Tufts/Cummings). The veterinarians there said she had a viral infection and sent us home with some medications. Tuesday morning our kitten died in my arms on my way back to Tufts. Why wasn’t the ‘professionals’ at Hardwick Pond able to recognize that she was sick in the first place? How does a kitten go from “a healthy kitten” to dead in my arms in a week? It just doesn’t make sense. As long-standing veterinarians, I would think that they’d be able to see any and all red flags regarding the health of an animal. We will NEVER return to this establishment again. Nor will we ever recommend that anyone else that loves their fur babies bring their loved ones to these people. I had to sit and watch my baby-girl kitten take her last breath in my lap. There was nothing I could do. But I truly believe there was something that Hardwick Pond could’ve done, but either chose not to or didn’t have the capability to recognize that she was sick in the first place. We are beyond heartbroken.

Love this Vet. Everyone there is very kind and compassionate. Never pushing unnecessary tests/treatments. Though booked solid, the got my cat in when she was struggling with bladder stones. We appreciate that greatly since we were very worried.

I have been bringing my pets here for at least 20 years,I have always found them to be incredibly compassionate,Patricia is wonderful and always reached out on her own following up on the health of my pets after receiving treatment. I hope they never retire....buts that's not fair so , TY for everything.

They're great, I'm thankful for their flexible hour abilities when it's an urgent situation. They make sure you know they truly care about your pet to the point that they'll have a follow up over the phone a few days later to see how your pet is doing. I'm so glad they are located nearby & I appreciate their efforts in saving my complicated cat more than once in the last several months.

I love Hardwick Pond Vet! We were referred to this vet by a friend when our family adopted our first puppy two years ago. Everyone loves on my Doberman every time we come in and they are so calm and patient with him. I have never felt taken advantage of nor felt a significant hit to my wallet. Everything is reasonably priced and the facility is extremely clean and the layout ensures my dog doesn’t cross paths with other pets. (Even though he is extremely well behaved and would be fine if he did, I just appreciate that it’s not an issue from either side.) I highly recommend this vet for your pet!

Great veterinary folks. Really care for your pets. We were traveling & they got us in to get our dogs the required shots needed. Checked them out really good and checked the chips also to insure they were ours. Highly recommended by lots of dog owners we met in & around the area. $$ reasonable. Handicap accessible. A bit in the country, but a beautiful ride.

The staff takes such amazing care of my dog. And he does not suggest unnecessary tests. Not going to lie my whimpy dog does not have the same happy reaction to seeing them. Or any Dr. for that matter. I really feel safe and trust the staff with my best friend.

Av great place to take the animals that you love. The veterinarian and the staff here are warm, caring and knowledgeable and a visit or procedure here won't break the bank. They have very reasonable rates and again the service is awesome. Is recommend them to anyone!
