I am leaving for vacation on 4/1 and at the beginning of March I booked a grooming reservation at Abington Dog Care. They canceled my appointment (after I dropped my dog off with them and said they only groom “family and friends dogs”) I called around to every grooming salon I could find because now I only had two days to find her an appointment! I called Heritage and first off, the lady on the phone was so nice. She told me her next available was two days from now. They were SO accommodating in every way. My brother dropped my dog off as I was working and he said the man he spoke to (perhaps the owner?) was so incredibly nice. Because I wasn’t there in person for the drop off and my brother does not know anything about dogs, I emailed the salon with what I wanted for the groom. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND. My dog is 9 years old and gets groomed every 6 weeks of her life. This BY FAR is the best groom I have ever seen on her. They also allowed me to pick my dog up after my working shift!! Such nice people and you can tell they truly care. Prices were also so reasonable. I did the shampoo and conditioning and my dog smelled amazing and was so soft. 100% recommend for any poodle coats. Can’t say enough good things about their amazing service. My dog is also very skittish and shy and she is usually shaking when I pick her up from a groom. However? When I picked her up from Heritage she literally looked like she was smiling and wagged her tail and was so happy!! It really shows that they truly take the best care of their dogs even behind closed doors. Thank you Heritage!!!

I highly recommend heritage kennels. Our dog has stayed there multiple times. I have called with a day's notice and they always accommodate us. They will give him a bath do his nails and when we pick them up he is happy as can be!

Only giving one star because you can’t do zero. Took our beautiful healthy one year old golden Friday morning, who had just got a clean bill of health a few days prior! When she was picked up Sunday, she fell and couldn’t walk. When asked they said oh it was from the kennel? We took her home and we carried her in, laid with her, and tried to give her water with a dropper. Unfortunately the next morning she was dead😭the sweetest dog you’d ever meet with zero issues beforehand. When I called that morning, there was no remorse, what may of happened, etc. when I called again today to ask about cameras, they apparently don’t have them where the dogs are kenneled? Yet they leave Sunday at 11 and no one comes back until 4, so there’s really no answer of what happened there! You never think someone like this could happen to your dog, but I don’t want anyone else’s family to ever go through this again. I’m hopeful they will try to be more helpful and show us the footage from Friday morning until we picked her up .. just so we can see if she was drinking/got injured/anything. I’m also curious why Saturday night, as my dog was there, they randomly posted on their page that due to personal issues they wouldn’t be boarding anymore??🤔did something happen that they don’t want us to know?

I recently brought my 8 year old black lab and 3 year old boxer mix to be groomed and I couldn’t have been happier! The employees at Heritage Kennels were so friendly, flexible and responsive. My dogs both came back smelling great with complimentary bandanas! The pricing was fair and I was thrilled to see my dogs happy at pick up. My boxer mix is a rescue who can sometimes be anxious in new surroundings, but the staff were immediately able to make connections with him and keep him close by his brother to relieve any anxiety (which has not always been the case at other groomers). I will definitely be a return customer and happy to refer friends in my area!

I took my ragdoll cat to Heritage Kennels for a bath and haircut. I am embarrassed to say that she had matting and was super stinky!! This place did a phenomenal job for a very good price. It was $75. I am very pleased with her haircut. Also, I had been very impatient to schedule the appointment asap. The person who took my call was very kind, professional, and gave me an appointment only 2 days out. Thank you so much to everyone at Heritage Kennels!! 👏

I brought my two labs here for boarding and grooming in April. When I picked them up, I asked how they did, and the owner was very irritated and told me “they barked a lot”. They don’t bark at home, so not sure how to address. I left food with the owners in a $30 container that they would not return. When I got the dogs home, I found that one had developed a huge hot spot on stomach while in their care - her entire stomach was red, swollen, and infected. Obviously they would have seen this while caring for her and certainly while grooming but did not inform me. I board my dogs maybe once a year and they always seem to enjoy. A hot spot that big means stress, unsanitary conditions or both. I was horrified for my pup and it also cost about $300 to treat. Will not be using these guys again.

This place is a little small, which gave me reservations, but they were able to fit my dog into a tight schedule, and it looked very clean, so I tried it. I was so pleasantly surprised by the wonderful job that was done! My dog went in quite overgrown, and as as she is a very soft-coated Wheaten Terrier, she often mats up. Michael, the groomer, did an AMAZING job brushing her out well and gave her the perfect impeccable cut! She smells fantastic and they were sure to avoid all the older dog bumps she has developed (the last groomer nicked one), and cut her nails well too. All for a reasonable price. :)

Finally a groomer who was able to do exactly what I wanted! Australian Shepherds are not the easiest breed to cut short but Maisie looks amazing. Friendly and courteous staff who fit her in for me on short notice. I highly recommend Heritage Kennels and will be back.

My dog is Jackson and love the kennel. We use them for day care, grooming and boarding. They care for all of the dogs and always work wirh as needed for pickup or dropping off. The staff is always friendly and makes it easy. They're our #1 choice for our dog.

We left our dog here for a week and when we went to pick him up he was in terrible condition. His eyes are extremely red and droopy which isn't normal for our dog. He's really dirty, gray almost. He's really skinny after staying there for a week. You can see his bones from how skinny he is, after his stay. Our dog came back with scratches on his hind leg. He doesn't recognize us now and he's being somewhat aggressive towards us. He doesn't listen to us at all. One of the workers responded rudely/sarcastically to a question we asked. Our dog was extremely sad when they took him out for us to bring him back home. When we gave him some water, he drank it as if he never had water before.

Nice people but wasn't crazy about the smell of chemicals that stayed on the dog. He wasn't flea dipped, so I didn't understand. The next appointment i requested Oatmeal shampoo and the dogs were fine.
