This store is ridiculous. I would never go back there again. First I never been there before and I walk out back because I didn't see want I wanted I just thought it was apart of the store. They got a sigh that says employees only which was so small and you could barely even notice it. Then to be threatened in the back room like if he was a thug. Do waste your time oh yeah go to Bridgewater farms it's cheaper.

Ok I honestly only think good stuff when I come to rural grain and supplies store. Family/friends have come here for years to get everything chickens (need to order), horse accesiories, feed dog food etc. They are the clear front runner when it comes to a local grain store. Staff is what glues it all together ensuring you find what you want and more than happy to help make decisons. Not the best purchaser of presents but Shelly made it happen with a really nice pair of boots for my God daughter!! Thanks for making every customer's day just that much better.(Disclaiimer: I don't work here.)

We have two horses and we always come here for grain, shavings, and hay. Always a great variety of not just horse stuff but everything for animals pretty much they even have little chickens there for sale and bunnies.

This place is horrible, I got a treat here that killed my dog, she was only 8 and she got a treat , at first she ate one and just puked a lot but she got the bag of them and that day she started screaming like something was wrong we took her to the vet and she stayed a few nights, her organs starting failing, she went it to surgery but nothing helped we had to put her down and all they said was they only found some plastic sausage shaped thing in her stomache which the suspected to have caused it. Don’t buy the treats from here lucky we didn’t sue. We wish I could give it zero stars

I have shopped dog and chicken feed from Hanson Grain in Washington Street Hanson since 2007 AND I JUST STOPPED BUYING FROM THEM DUE TO AN AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE FINALLY BEING FEEDUP WITH THEM AFTER MY LAST VISIT to Hanson Grain 15 days ago. If you want to know why please read on...Over the years the small cottage store turned into a farmers fashion butik, pet/farm animal supply store selling everything from extremely over priced boots, hats, clothing up to fake jeweleries, animal feed and so on. I like to mention that the owner who is a lady is very ambitious, hard worker and smart and due to this qualities I liked to support her small business up untill 2 weeks ago BUT NO MORE JOSE!!!. The problem starts from the point that she has couple of store clerk ladies, last was 4 of them working behind the counter in the middle of the store and who are extremely unwelcoming and rude and unaccommodation. All they do is to crab your money and not even hesitating tell you thank you. Good luck if you have a question to ask. When you have a question or problem when asked they all looking at one another like they telling you with they nasty gesture "what type of stupid questions this!" Or if you have a tiny complain they don't even talk to you or asking you to find out like they just want you to shut the F$&k up and leave. Bottom line these rooten apples acting like premadonnas and all they try to do is do show off and trying hard to reflect a fake image of those sexy tuff cow girls. Specially the tall skinny blond her that always wearing short shirts to show her pierced belly button and tight jeans and boots making mistake between the fashion runway and store sells island. So I was driving for 1 hour or more to get there then you walk inside the store with a smile and happy right there these joy killers leaving very heavy hearted and emotionally scared😭. That was why the end for me was last time and never again I spend my hard earned money in a place that doesn't appreciate nor respect their customers . In the future days since I do respect the owner I will try reach to her and also inform her in person. I hope she cares. Mean while I just found a new larger store which is the Tractor Supply Co. In Hanover for those of you that feel as bad as I do about Hanson Grain unwelcoming atomspher and like to take you business somewhere else the Tractor Supply address is389 Columbia Rd #10 HanoverI hope the owner gets a chance to read this. But personally I will never I buy from them again unless she hires some friendly and approachable store clerk. After all who wants to spend money somewhere and feeling like a trash !!! Very disappointing😢😩👎🏼

Friendly staff. Help with loading if you need it. I love their loose bags of straw, nice chunky straw for my chickens nests. They also referred me to someone who adopted my rooster. I had to rehome him. Not so easy to do. I asked if they had any suggestions. Thanks to Hanson Grain, he’s now at his new farm home living a roosters best life.

I love this place. I go here for most of my animal needs and more. If they don't have what you're looking for they will get it. They are so accommodating! Finn the rabbit greets you as you walk in and he's super sweet.

Love Hanson Grain! The girls and guys are all wonderful to deal with. The girls at the counter are so friendly and welcoming. The guys are so helpful loading my truck with hay and feed. Been coming for a few years now and feel like a welcome regular! Great selection and love the western wear and patriotic items!

I love this place. The people are friendly and helpful. They have everything you want and if they don't they can get it. The western store is awesome and the pet store is even better. Animals good people and a laid back attitude is what you will find there. If your not down with that please shop somewhere else.

Hanson Grain typically has an okay selection, and is clean and runs pretty well. My major complaint with them is the demeanor of their staff. I wouldn't exactly say they're the most polite or respectful unfortunately. Otherwise great place for animal and small farm supplies! They even carry some of the niche items I tend to need for the more exotic creatures in my care.

Great place to buy food for our large dogs and they have a fantastic incentive program as well! When you have large fur babies at home, you have to buy a lot of food, and we believe in pampering our pooches as well by feeding them the best you can buy. Hanson grain is fantastic, especially the Western Wear area in the back :-)

As is everywhere though, I wish the prices weren't getting do crazy but they have some incentive rewards and they do give a veterans discount. I love the old town atmosphere of this place and they do seem to have what you need. Great job Hanson Grain. Oh yes, be careful you dial the right phone number please.Mike

People are so nice and helpful there. They have just about everything you need for a dog and more. Cute bunnies around the store and a couple of their own cute dogs. Today is pictures with Santa. Wish I knew I would have brought my puppy to see Santa.
