I was looking for Bearnaise sauce in a glass jar to serve with cooked Prime Rib. I asked the girl at the front desk if perhaps she had it in stock and/or the aisle it would be located on. She didn't have any clue what I was talking about, but rather than asking someone else to confirm/deny if they had it; she just said 'no'. Well, I searched anyways to see even though they didn't have it in a glass jar, there was a packet that you could make your own.Granted, I had asked for the sauce in a glass jar, but to say 'no' even though you had some form of Bearnaise sauce is pretty lazy and rude. Anyways, I did end up finding what I wanted at Roche Bros.

I love that you've added charging stations, miles while I shop.. what I dislike is your seafood selection.. 2 freezers of shrimp and only 2 bags of large scallops. No medium or bay, just $20 for 8 large. More than shrimp please..

Always a pleasure to shop here.... just a quick run in for last minute needs. The canned cat food is coming back. Gravy food packets are great too! I have been finding some super sweet grapes here and equal exchange organic bananas !

Called the service desk at 1pm today to see what the holiday hours were and the woman who answered the phone hung up on me with out even letting me finish speaking . She was too busy talking to a co worker to fully hear what I was saying

Lots of things to buy. I ordered 2 birthday cakes from a lovely young lady. Went back today. Good job on cakes. Impressed with her. Prices were a little more then I like but hasn't everything gone up?

We don't tend to go to stop and shop because the one closest to us is truly horrible. What a nice surprise at the Halifax store. Most of the staff was great and shelves were stocked. Cashier was clearly having a bad day but overall a good experience.

I love this store! The workers are amazing and always very kind and helpful. The meat dept keeps a well organized section stocked with fresh meat. The prices are similar to Walmart when we compare the weekly shopping bill but Stop and Shop has great sales and coupon policies that help you save even more.

Great place to ship for groceries. Prices there aren't the lowest around but are fair. The selection is really broad with the exception of no seafood department. The store is always clean and you can always find somebody to answer your questions.

I go for the pharmacy. The pharmacy staff is great. I don't normally shop in the store. Last time I did shop, they seemed to be out of stock on a lot of items. Prices seemed very high.

Okay I work for Instacart, and I hustle pretty hard most of the time, so I get around this area pretty well, let’s get that out of the way.The deli at this store is so far above and beyond every single other deli on the south shore that it’s not even funny. I personally try to avoid orders with deli items because it is usually an excruciating experience. This deli is the exact opposite of an excruciating experience. They are always in a good mood and ready to help you. There is camaraderie. It feels comfortable. They present themselves as real people that you can relate with. If you were to go to any other store in the area, a simple order of one pound of sliced ham could cost you 20 minutes. Here it’s 3 minutes tops, even if there’s 5-6-7 people in line.I’m making this lengthy on purpose, because they deserve the praise. They actually, probably, don’t realize how happy it makes me to go in there and get a deli item in a reasonable amount of time. It improves my whole day every time. It restores my faith in humanity. I’m not just saying that.To me it’s always seemed like something that should be easy and quick but obviously that depends on the store and who is working there, and over time I’ve come to realize that more and more. That’s what makes this place even more special.Nobody recruited these people. This is a natural occurrence of beauty. Something that only happens so often. It may be a fleeting thing, or it may not (I hope not). Either way it’s special.Ive worked in kitchens for over 10 years. These kinds of environments don’t happen all the time. It takes either a lot of luck, or the will of a group of good people to make this happen, and I’m betting on the latter.I hope they see this, I mean every word of this from the bottom of my heart.

Some things weren't stocked that I was looking for, but otherwise the store had everything I needed. I had Ann as a cashier and she was very kind and helpful! Man in the meat department was also very helpful in helping me find the right packages/cuts of meat that I needed and directed me to items that were better deals.

Clean, had good choices of products and prices on most items were better than my regular store I go to. Found cereal that I couldn't find at other stores.. Self checkouts there made it quick to checkout.

Stop&Shop excellent store except deli dept the workers are great but I don't think they get any hygiene training I really like store brand cheese but lose my appitie and don't buy it because the worker will wear same pair of gloves, they cut red bleeding roast beef , finish that customer and then wait on me without changing their Gloves, then they handle the cheese I want to buy, plus brushing things off their clothes all with same gloves there's probably more bacteria on their gloves than their hands. I respect them and know they're hard workers. But honestly I don't want to get sick . Please put up signs reminding them to change their gloves between customers it's a problem in all your stores.

Easily the worst grocery store I've ever shopped at. They never have enough registers open, they constantly do not have very basic items, and their seafood section is a joke. The only one start they get comes from good employees who have to put up with the store's garbage. If they weren't near a residential area they'd have gone out of business ages ago and I look forward to the day they are replaced with a good store.In short, avoid. Go elsewhere. Hope it closes soon.

Went. Grocery shopping and also needed to get some flowers I had a great experience with Christine at the floral section. Who made a few suggestions and put together a beautiful bouquet of flowers for me to brighten someone’s dayChristine. Thank you very much !!

Easy place to shop regularly or once in a while when you forget something. Although not the cheapest, definetly not the most expensive. Staff are helpful and the store is kept clean.

I was absolutely disgusted with 3 workers STANDING around not helping the cashier bag the groceries. This was @ the Halifax stop & shop. I helped the the cashier bag the groceries the lady would not help her & she was doing absolutely nothing. I felt so bad for this woman the cashier had to be in her early 70's & the water buffalo was about 40 I don't know how old that is in buffalo years. But no respect to her fellow worker .people are so selfish these days it is sickening

Not sure what's going on with this store, but fresh produce was rough looking and some needed to be thrown out.I recommend looking everything over closely and checking those expiration dates.

Halifax is a great store. Clean and well stocked. A bit of a travel since I have one right around the corner, but that one leaves a lot to be desired.

Usually I have a great exp. at this stop&shop.But I bought a cheesecake and the next day it had mold on it.The only reason i am saying something is because I spent 12.99 on it.

I think they should put trained cashiers back to work. Not every shopper is familiar self check out and they tend to slow down the lines.
