Way better than stop and shop. The quality of their prepared foods is second to none, especially the fish and chips. Shelves are always clean and well stocked. I can't even begin to count how many times I had to return out of date food at stop and shop.......

My girlfriend picked up grinders we ordered on Sunday 6/11 they tasted fine disappointed due to a 12$ grinder having little meat in it when we ordered 2 of The Big 3. Wasn't worth the money.

Love Big Y. It's not Wegmans, but it comes a close second. Big variety of items to choose from. Produce is always fresh. Staff is friendly. The only suggestion is to get True Moo Chocolate Milk. It's does not have high fructose corn syrup and is very yummy. Plus lower the prices on ice cream. I can get Friendly's ice cream out of state cheaper than in MA.

Went in to the sub shop, Kaylen who’s been working for 4 years was working and gave the worst service I’ve ever had. She was throwing things, didn’t use gloves for some parts, sighed and gave attitude when I asked for something else. Never coming back.

Overall, this is a very good supermarket. It's clean, well-stocked, and the people who work there are professionals. My only complaint is the prices are higher than the other nearby supermarkets. Unless something is on sale, you seem to pay about 20% more.

They suck. Every time I go there it's some new problem. This time they over-rung at the register. Now its my problem and get sent to customer service to wait in line. If I notice they over-rung at the register and I'm still standing there and haven't paid, how is their mistake my problem. Why can't they void it and ring it up again, especially if I haven't even paid yet. Or call customer service over to us. And I had fresh cooked fish. I'm suppose to just let the fish get cold while chatting with customer service because the cashier sucks.every time I go there it's not good. I only go there bc it in my neighborhood.

The prices are way too high. That's with using a silver card. A couple of bags of groceries will run over $100 easily. I'd shop on base if I could, but Westover doesn't have a commissary.

Visiting from out of town for a wedding, tried to buy a wedding card as well as a prepaid visa as a gift. was told "we dont know if you could be scamming us" and denied the purchase. just because i have an out of state ID that does not match my mothers Big Y card. sure, thats your poilcy, but is it also policy for the entitled cashier pitboss to accuse me?went to the walgreens .2 mile away and was checked out with a smile.AVOID THIS BIG Y

I don’t have a problem with this Big Y in general, but this morning around 9AM I went to the deli, there were 2 woman in front of me being taken care of when I approached and grabbed my ticket for the line. A man walked up and grabbed a ticket after me. When the man named Robert was finished helping the woman he was dealing with, instead of acknowledging me, he asked the man what he needed. I even spoke up and said I was actually next but they kept on with their business. Very rude! Kat and Saben were also working the deli and they were very polite and professional.

Generally has great customer service. Every so often you get someone not so great usually in the pizza shop but I've noticed Big Y must not tolerate it because they're never there long. All and all I'll pay the slightly higher prices for the better world class experience 😉

Good place clean, great staff, good parking. Could be good if Big Y install fast charger for EV cars, every time there are more ev cars aroud could be good service for customer and business for Big Y because Cahreger are not free, plus government is providing incentives for ev Cahrger installation. Ev fast Charger could be great!

Big Y Chicopee, went shopping right after work, usually i do my shopping in West Springfield close to home, but i was in the area and went in, great experience, this is a Super market, ! fresh Sushi, Pizza, Fish, Meats, all in one side of the store, Many island , No empty spaces! well stock, and plenty of help from staffing,not crowded like the W........, great experience.👏

Went there yesterday 5/19 got a fresh made grinder ,watched the lady make it but I should have said i didn't want it .while she was making it she cut a rolled up plastic with meat In it she cut right threw the plastic half hazzardly then rip it the rest off the way .got it home took one bite, but couldn't get the idea there might be plastic in there so I threw it away ! Normally love big y but this day ........

Went for lunch and got a couple of grinders.One of the really friendly staff made them to order. My brother and I loved them. The cashier was super nice and the supervisor that came over to was pleasant. I will definitely go there again before I leave Massachusetts.

Generally a positive experience every time, especially with bottle redemption when maintenance is needed to empty machine. Usually a young person with quick response, speedy service and I am glad to see the smile with the service. On this last grocery run though, it seemed at least 2-3 aisles had carts filled with stock completely unattended (which can happen) but they had no attempt to be moved to the side as possible. As I had gone back and forth with aisles they seemed to stay unattended as is for an unreasonable time. But consistently I do like to go to my local store.

Their prices are higher than most grocery stores. I went to buy a pizza there it was ok a little over cooked. When I went to pay for it I had other groceries under it and of course the employee a older woman came over right away pretending to help .she just had to make sure to move the pizza like I wasn't going to pay for my other stuff. When employees treat you like that it makes you not want to shop there.6/12/22

The Pharmacy Manager, Michael is very personable like a small hometown drugstore. I like the South Hadley Big Y location as they carry all the groceries I need even specialty items. The staff is very friendly and the store shelves are always well stocked.

I dont usually post anything, let alone a review. But, was there today for the first time. Since I got a gift card, and I shop at another big name location, I went to get a few things. I gotta say A+ on neatness and cleanliness. Every employee was either doing something( their jobs) or helping a customer. Keep doing what you're doing and I'll be a customer for a long time. The one less star was the prices. I thought compared to others they were a bit more expensive. And since myself had a good experience (so far) the price difference may be overlooked. But overall a great experience.
