My fiancee and I stopped at Pete's only because I had seen it in passing awhile back and we were going to be in the area. Wow! I'm SO glad we did. We both ordered the seafood combo and when it was ready I almost fell over with the amount of food there was! We should have split one. LOLAlso, I was happily surprised that they also had beer since we were both thirsty. I had no idea the place was so big. There's a large area in the back for dining, along with outside seating, which we couldn't take advantage of due to it only being March.When we were leaving I told the chef it's crazy that we can get better seafood in March in Greenfield than we could at the beach in the summer!Amazing food and great people / atmosphere. If you're looking for some good seafood, whether you live in Greenfield or are on a trip and passing by as we were, stop at Pete's and be prepared for some incredible seafood.

Pete's Seafood came highly recommended by the local RMV I had to go today.I would only imagine asking the locals where to get a great lobster roll after a 2hr one-way drive and then after waiting in line. So, while finishing up at the RMV, I asked, and 5 people within earshot all at once said, "PETE'S SEAFOOD!"(True story)I was told I hit the sweet spot in timing my visit after the lunch rush because there was nowhere to sit then. Around 230pm.Pro Tip: Go ahead and order one Double IPA. You're eating fried food.PSI had no idea the portions would be that big! I had to bring some back home.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and reserved spots in front. Outdoor and indoor seating.

Hole in the wall place. You seat yourself and go up to a counter to order and pick up food. If no one is at the counter just ring the bell. They have a good selection of seafood plates and burgers, good choices of sides. I did the shrimp dinner which came with a side of fries and coleslaw. The batter for the shrimp is kind of plain but they were still very good. Also got a cup of clam chowder soup, which was tasteful but lacked clams which was sad. There really isn't much to the seating that is special, it's pretty plain and basic. The girls at the counter were super nice though! Would probably come here again but it wouldn't be my first choice.

We love Pete's! It is a local gem! The seafood is always fresh and delicious cooked to perfection. The fries are not hand cut. That is probably my only complaint. But their frozen french fry choice is still tasty. I always enjoy the shrimp cocktail. They have a wide variety of menu options but I almost always get the scallop boat, My hubby gets the whole bellies and I steal a few of those too! You order at the counter seat yourself and when your order is ready they call you over the loudspeaker. I kind of like that. It reminds me of being at the beach. I've been to many seafood restaurants along the ocean and several do the same. You do not really get waited on, You pick up your food on a tray & You clean up your mess.

Now this gets 5 stars, not for ambiance or trendy setting, just for the freashest friend oysters I have ever had. Light on the batter. They have an all you can eat fish and chips. Cafeteria style eatery with just plain ole good comfort food.

Best seafood in the area, and as good as anything you can get out East. Excellent service! Obviously the food is best when you eat there since it's mainly fried, but the table tops tend to not get wiped down often enough. The regular tables are better than the indoor plastic picnic tables which always seem grimy or sticky even though I've seen them occasionally wiped down. When the weather is nice, we love eating out on the patio. The wooden picnic tables are in excellent shape and don't seem filthy like the plastic ones that are indoors. They have wonderful planters that grow all summer long and provide a nice natural partition from the adjacent public parking lot. It helps give the patio a nice atmosphere.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of families come in, and it is usually a mix of people. We tend to order a haddock dinner, clam strip boat with an extra 1/2 pint of clam strips. We split all of this with our two children and it's more than enough for all four of us.

I used to eat here back in the 80s when u was a kid and my dad worked as a fry cook. I rarely get up to Greenfield but recently I took a trip to visit A local store that was closing nearby and I was shocked to see Pete's was still in operation. I think that says a lot for it's quality and loyal patrons that it's been open for decades in an off the main road area that doesn't see a lot of foot traffic. But a good eatery gets around n builds a name for itself by word-of-mouth if it's truely good... And Pete's Seafood is!I order a scallop dinner and my mother order a fish (haddock) dinner. Most places over cook scallops and it's takes a good cook to know when a scallop isn't undercooked and make your sick, but not overlooked and rubber-y. These were done perfect.The woman who took out order was very nice and mid way through eating u needed done extra condiments and got up to go to the front to ask but a woman from the kitchen saw me and stopped what she was doing to ask if I needed anything. Even that simple act is surprising these days bc most workers never stop to do ANYTHING that's not a part of their own responsibilities. Everyone there was just real nice and it was a very laid back comfortable place to eat. Love that place.Only drawback, I felt prices were a bit up there for certain items. I know some out of season items can be more at different seasons, But the scallop dinner was $20 when the same amount at a similar fish spot in Northampton & another in Brimfield is $5-7 cheaper.Pictured below is a Scallop Boat & a Haddock Boat (both come with fries & smaller than the dinners).

Pete's Seafood is *always* a fantastic treat! I'm hooked on the fried oysters. 😋Parking: I usually find there are one or two open spots in the free onsite lot.Kid-friendliness: Good variety of grilled options for youth. Great menu all around.

I am in heaven right now. Everything was cooked perfect. Nice beer selection with local tap beer. The hour and a half drive for a great seafood place was worth it. Two beer and a seafood combo was less than $26. It takes two people to finish this plate. I will be here every time I pass through town

Love it! My husband and I have eaten here twice now in the past seven months. It is your typical seafood place, nothing fancy but the food is so good. Fried foods are crisp, not greasy, light batter on fish, tastes like going to the beach seafood!

This small restaurant off the main street is worth finding. The seafood is excellent, even items hard to get right. The scallops are always cooked just right- not rubbery, not undercooked. The clam chowder is so thick your spoon will stand up. Even the child who decided to try calamari ate it all (he wasn't a fan, but was able to finish the squid.) Check their website for nightly specials, well worth it.
