Phoned this afternoon to inquire about two med prescriptions sent over from my physicians office to this CVS Great Barrington, Mass location. Was told that one was out of stock, but should be back in stock in 2 to 3 days. I asked the pharmacist if they had let the doctors office know this to see if an alternative med would work, she said that’s not their policy, which of course makes no sense. Why couldn’t they just electronically send back the out of stock information to the physicians office? When i questioned this policy further and asked the pharmacist for her name, she hung up on me!

I have been a customer of the pharmacy and retail store since I moved to the Berkshires two years ago, and have had all covid and flu shots there. I have always found the staff to be helpful and as expeditious as possible. With the Walgreen's closed, and with half of Florida and New Jersey emptying here in the summer, I feel like we can all be a little more understanding and supportive. As much as possible, communicate with the pharmacy online and through the automated phone tree. If you must speak voice to voice with the pharmacist in August, then, yes, you'll be on hold for a while. Supply and demand.

This CVS is the WORST pharmacy ive ever been to!! Every month i call to have them refill my prescriptions and adk how long it will be, because I live 50 minutes away. The last 2 times ive went to pick up my scripts, they told me "oh well they cant be filled until tomorrow". Even though they told me they were being filled. They are very rude and just plain disrespectful. Thats if they even speak to you!! Do yourself a favor and find a different pharmacy!

Horrible pharmacy. Been the last three days to pick up a prescription and its a different excuse every-time which would be fine if they let me know at any point during the day so i could fix it, not wait until i show up at seven at night and the drs are closed or let me know so i can have it sent to another pharmacy. This is a very important med that has horrible side effects if not taken daily also which they all know. doesn't seem to be the employees fault as they apparently need someone to be paid to specifically answer the phone, and all these issues would have been avoided. I would use the app if it worked!! it doesn't and my scripts still don't get filled. Switched pharmacies as quickly as I could.

I’ve always had nothing but a mediocre experience at CVS pharmacy - no one (except Thomas) has ever been remotely friendly, seems to care, or is at all helpful, but yesterday’s experience, it was just too much. We were out of town and my daughter was diagnosed with an ear infection and I (stupidly) had the prescription called in here. On the way home, I tried calling the pharmacy (several times!) to confirm that the prescription was received so that we could pick it up, give it to our poor girl - who was in excruciating pain - and be on our way. After sitting on hold for over 45 minutes, we used another phone to call the general line to see if there was a long line at the pharmacy and what was going on. He (very nicely) told us there was no line at all and that the their phone lines “were down” and that we should try back later. Mind you, it’s getting late in the day, my daughter is crying in pain, and we are unable now to confirm her prescription because “the pharmacy lines” are down. As you can probably guess, when we arrived and I went in to get the prescription, they did not have what was called in. The pharmacist claimed she sent word back letting urgent care center know this. Of course, when I called the urgent care center they, first and foremost, immediately answered their phone, confirmed nothing had been sent back to them, and was more than willing to help find an alternative antibiotic. I’m not one to typically leave negative reviews as we all have bad days but, in this case, I felt it was more than warranted. Your job is to help people and provide them with the needed medication(s) and not make them feel like you are doing them a favor. Until this pharmacy gets it together, I recommend going to Big Y! I will definitely be transferring any remaining prescriptions I need filled there going forward. And if anyone is reading this in the corporate office - you really need to crack down on this particular branch! This isn’t the first negative review they’ve received.

Trying to get cough medicine for five days. They gave it to me incorrectly can’t refill it don’t have in stock the alternatives that my doctor ordered. This pharmacy is the very worst always long lines.

CVS is HORRIBLE i went with my friends and we were in there for five minutes and some one kicked us out and it was pouring rain and the don’t close till 8:00 and it was6:30

I have never felt so disrespected while I deal with my personal health trying to get a better understanding of my insurance and coverage. I went to pick up my prescription. And after asking me tons of time on how to spell my name. The pharmacist clerk was rude and with lack of customer service skills, specially dealing with sensitive information. I felt so embarrassed when she literally said at loud that she can’t help me cause I have TONS! Of medications (3 prescribed meds), as she also follow with a “next person in line”, SO RUDE!! And I have to look around and see if I was on a clothes store, I couldn’t believe that a pharmacy can’t help with my prescription.But, I kept my patience until I found out with another person what was the issue. Finally he help me and explained what was going on with my insurance. The reason I am not mentioning names is because we all can have a bad day at work and sometimes we don’t realize how awful you act. But after reading tons of bad reviews, I realized is a leadership issue. Please educate your people on how to manage patients necessities without have to jump and be rude. There is a privacy law that all of you should respect. Nobody in the line want or should hear the patients medications etc.Please improve the customer service and values. And BE KIND.

Just had surgery pharmacist would not fill my pain medication because it was mistakenly sent to Lenox. Will never use this pharmacy again. I try to avoid it because it is ALWAYS a bad experience. 7/27/23 6:30 pm. Avoid this horrible place.

Patty in the pharmacy is very, very nice. She is a gem.However, the prices are too high in the store. The pharmacy does not answer the phone. Prescriptions take a long time. The line is 10 to 12 people deep on a good day....and you wait forever. The automated phone system is a nightmare. If it works at all, it gives you section after section of press this or press that....I honestly do not know how they expect an elderly person to follow all that nonsense. Then IF you actually get a human you are Lucky! Most of the time you sit on hold for 20, 30 or more minutes until you give up....and hang up....or the system clicks and disconnects you. CVS needs some competition in town...maybe then they could get their act together.

Terrible pharmacy service. Avoid and go to Big Y instead (heard the same thing from local doctors).I’ve had several poor experiences with the pharmacy here but the worst was recently when I needed a refill for an asthma medication for our son. I called it in over a week before we were going to run out, first using the automated phone system and then in person to confirm that they had received the request. I then spoke to the doctor to confirm that they had called it into the pharmacy. I went to the pharmacy two days after they said it would be ready and they said they didn’t have it in stock and it wouldn’t be ready for two more days, but by this time I only had one day’s supply left. They said they had texted me (confirmed the number, didn’t receive anything). They said I could try another CVS, but their general attitude was that it wasn’t their problem. If I we’re running a pharmacy and ran out of an asthma medication for an infant, I would make it my problem and at least make sure that the parents knew in advance.I won’t be going back, but here are a few things they should consider improving:- If you can’t fill a prescription, make sure the patient knows. Call and try to speak to them, rather than assuming the automated CVS system works (because it doesn’t).- Fill prescriptions sooner after they are called in by doctors so that if there is an issue, it can be caught sooner. Our doctor confirmed that they called it in on Monday, but CVS said they didn’t try to fill it until Thursday, which is when they realized they didn’t have it. The doctors office said that this pharmacy sometimes lets orders sit for a few days before even filling them.- Pick up the phone when people call. As other people have noted in their reviews, they never pick up the phone. I’ve been on hold for over 30 minutes during business hours without getting through. This makes it even more difficult to take care of issues when they do arise.

Nothing but awful experiences here. I switched solely to save myself the 30 min of obnoxious town traffic but it's probably quicker to drive two hours [each way] for a competant pharmacy than to rely on these people. They NEVER answer the phone. Of all the times I've tried calling, which has been many, they have only answered once.. and that took over a half hour. One time after being on hold for 52 min, the phone picked up and immediately disconnected.. guess they got tired of ignoring it.. after calling back and being on hold an additional 30 mins after that, I decided to drive there from work because apparently going in person is the only way to get an answer. 45 min later, I'm standing in line - still on hold - listening to 5 employees discussing their weekends or their new cat while my call continues to ring. The 60ish year old woman there is a total you-know-what.. she's as miserable and rude as she looks. Takes a full day to get a simple rx filled. Just horrible. Needs a serious revamp, staff and all.

There was a worker I believe his name was John and he was making very inappropriate comments to my daughter about her outfit. We are staying at the quality inn, and wanted some snacks but did not expect to have my daughter get hit on by this old worker. John should be FIRED. Never going back in there.

I went to pick up my medicines, because I was bitten by a tick and I arrived at 5.52pm to get my medicine and Kathleen (or whatever it is spelled) from the pharmacy, decided not to give me my medicines because they close at 6.00pm and she has to drive 1 hour home . Now I have to go to the ER because my body hurts

My dr sent my rx in Sunday afternoon, I called the pharmacy Monday morning around 10:20am and asked when my rx would be ready, and they said anytime after 11am. When I arrived at 11:40am, I was told that I would need to wait a half hour. I specified that I had called earlier and was told it would be ready at 11am, and the pharmacist replied “well we don’t open until 10 so you’ll need to wait”. This made no sense to me since I had called after 10 when they opened and was told it’d be all set after 11 but then had to wait until closer to 12:30. First and last time I will ever come here.

Every time that I need to do something about my medications or another medicine related the customer service is horrible. I understand that they are busy but it’s not an excuse to treat customers with bad attitude and rush them out. This is before the pandemic, so it’s not a new thing. It’s sad.

Is anyone serious? This is a joke, the lady at register has such a complex and attitude. Call and the lady whom answers lies about status of prescriptions?This is a major lawsuit! Class action plus, look into it if you have gone here!

This CVS pharmacy is quite busy at times. Reason being from experience, this is the best pharmacy in town. It may not have a huge shop to it, but it's pharmacy is the most professional, accurate, reliable, ect.
