This is a really nice Supermarket. We used their bathrooms while we charged our Tesla. They have a food court on the right side of the store next to the bathrooms. The bakery is also on that side, we bought a cheesecake from them, it' was very good.

Nice clean store. Everything is well stocked. The bakery items are delicious. We stopped in for some seafood cooked to go. The fish and chips was great as usual. Fried shrimp dinner was good. Big Y supermarkets are always top notch. The Great Barrington location is no exception. Lots of fresh food, good selection of hot food to go.

This place got fresh seafood, Oysters and fish are fresh, employees was really helpful and really care about customers, an employee that work at the seafood department on December 6th 2021 in the evening was telling me about fishermen dozens versus regular dozens so I end up getting more Oysters for the same price, also got great steaks there as well. I forgot to ask for his name but they should have get promoted for how good they did.Not very impressed with the cashier at the register having reaction on my seafood, she got scare of the oysters and mussels in the bag and freak out so she forgot to scan some of our items. But overall the food in there was great quality.

I love everything about this store: the selection, the prices -- even the people who work there. It is so good that I drive up weekly from Lakeville CT, even though the dreadful Stop & Shop in Canaan is half the distance from my house. Keep up the good work!

Most excellent selection! Being from the "city", I'm not use to having so many food services in a "supermarket", then I realize, you have the space. The pizza with pepperoni was most excellent!, the selection of coffee in the afternoon will make sure a "Starbucks", doesn't rear it's head "around here". Overall, one of my top supermarket experiences so far. 😁

I have to give these guys a shoutout for being one of the best do-it-all grocery stores out there. I was picking my daughter up from camp when I got a call that her cousin was on the way, and it just so happened to be her 7th birthday. We rolled into the “reserved for parents of small children” parking spot, grabbed a car shopping cart and loaded up with a custom Zaros chocolate cake, candles, birthday card, balloon animals and a bunch of Disney miniatures off of the clearance table, plus some Big Elms for the grownups.Sure, there are “fancier” grocery stores in the Berkshires, but any place that lets you throw together a smash hit 7 year olds birthday party including presents and party favors in 20 minutes for about 50 bucks deserves five stars in my book.

This store is my local supermarket. They have friendly staff and the store is always clean. Their food service teams are helpful and always nice. Beautiful plants and flowers too.

Large selection of organic vegetables competitively priced. Large selection blue cheese, brie, goat cheese, smoked cheese and more. Large selection of artisan breads, Stonewall Kitchen items and local jelly, jam and pies. The bakery has a large selection of baked goods in a clean well organized glass case. The seafood department has a good selection of fresh fish at good prices....and $5.00 Sushi Wednesday is always a nice treat the floral department is well organized and has a nice selection of plants, floral arrangements ,herbs, trees, etc. Checkout can be slow, but staff is friendly and they do have a self checkout section if you want to use that. An in store pharmacy is convenient. Some prices in general could be a bit better at Big Y, but they do have a nice store with many items you can't find at other grocery stores.

Many, many thanks to Sue at Customer Service and the Big Y employee John. I misplaced a hand-written list with many details on it for my upcoming wedding while in the store on 8/2/22. After going up and down the aisles to try to find the list, I stopped at Customer Service where I explained my dilemma to Sue, who took my name and number and a few notes. Sure enough, when I got home, there was Sue on the phone with my notes in hand. She had apparently sent John through the store to look. I’m not sure where he found it, but I am very grateful for their conscientious help!

A good selection of everything that a normal supermarket would have, but high prices. When we first moved here from California, thought it was just a bad dream about the high cost of Massachusetts. Found Aldi and a drive to Trader Joe's, makes food shopping cheap and easy. You have to eat, but you don't have to go broke doing it. Seems like EVERY business in the area believes every dollar you earn should go to them.. the pizza is good, the adult beverage selection good, the florist is great, those are the positives..

Best supermarket ever!!! So many gluten free options. Very clean and neat. Great service and employees. Who doesn't love winning gold coins?! If you're in an area with a BigY make sure you go even if it's not for groceries. The staff is very nice and all the BigY products are stellar. Highly recommend getting a silver savings card. You can save so much money and support a great business.

My local grocery store, I've always loved it. Quality is always top notch, each department has great people who always meet you with a smile and have suggestions for what's new if they know you'll like it. Had them utterly nuke a pizza once, missed timer, I was a bit upset at first but they made good by making a new pizza, totally free of charge! Thanks for all you do, guys and gals!

The set up at Big Y is so neat and produces were so clean and fresh. Employees were so helpful and the Store is well clean. I give Big Y a 7 Stars instead of 5.

The Big Y has a very helpful, friendly staff. The shelves are stocked. The market is clean. I've never found outdated produce in refridgerator cases at a Big Y.. Plenty of parking at the stores I use in Lee and Great Barrington. I'd like to see more greens in bags and less in throw-away plastic boxes -- all markets should strive to eliminate difficult-to-recycle plastic containers.

For some time Big Y was better. This Great Barrington location has been going downhill for quite some time now though. When shopping for specific items that I regularly get, I will usually see the layout look worse than what you would see at a Dollar Tree (nothing is in front of the correct price/shelf tags). I also find that the product rotation is horrible.So for the customers thinking that the fresher product is going to be towards the back, don't count on it. Just quickly browsing to grab the few items that I need I find expired stuff all the time. What really gets me is that this store does not abide by Massachusetts pricing laws for grocery stores. M.G.L. CH.94 Sect. 184c, subsection I is all about the mispricing, wrong price on sticker/shelf tag/price scanner/register/ etc. If it's not fixed at the register and you have to go to the service desk to get it fixed, the first item is free if $10 or less,Ii over $10, you get $10 off. Other factors could come into play, but when an item is priced at $4.69 and rings up at $6.29, first one os free and the others are $4.69. The assistant manager at this location will not follow this law and is typically very snide about it. Hos admitting there was an error will hurt two things, his ego and his bonus. Now I find there to be lines longer at the registers than at stop lights. After all of that, what really gets me is the how rude and obnoxious the assistant store manager is. He really needs training with his retail law knowledge and his manners (or lack thereof).
