The story of the country store dates back from the mid-1800s. It primarily revolves around the cheese and how the recipe hasn't changed for over 150 years. I can tell you one thing for certain, that's some of the best cheese I've ever had. Definitely recommend putting it on a grinder and getting a toasted cold cut combo with the cheddar. It has to be the best grinder I have ever experienced. Easy 5 stars for this gem.

Drove there to buy their cheese, the cheese is the best around. Its like stepping back in time. Old fashioned store with a wooden floor. Just love going there, the ride is scenic all through a country road

Thoroughly impressed with the selection of local goods and products. Not to mention the sandwich selection is super creative and delicious. The cheese melts that they do are absolute perfection; I had one of the best feta bacon melts on Ryebread that I've ever had.Very thankful for the owners and staff for maintaining safe operations during the quarantine as well. All appropriate measures were taken which was very comforting.

Great cheese, but the gas price is absurd. And, when I bought gas there (it was an emergency) the clerk charged me for more than I asked, but didn't explain that he did or why. I only realized this when I rec'd my CC statement, and left wondering if I should have pumped more gas. Not to mention, the pump is 'old fashioned-ish' (from the 1970s?), and since most people don't know how to use such pumps a few seconds of instruction might be helpful.

It was a beautiful day for a drive so this was our destination. We usually checked out the craft fair but due to Covid that was canceled. We decided to get sandwiches at the General Store. It was busy but sandwiches were very good and reasonably priced. All wore masks, including staff, and everyone pleasant. Good lunch destination!

We absolutely love this store. The cheese is made right there and it amazing, we usually get the extra sharp cheddar. My wife enjoys the pickles and we tend to get a few bakery treats while we’re at it. Not to mention it’s a beautiful location

This is one of the nicest country store their Grinders are delicious. Good portions. Very friendly people works there. This is a very nice small town.

I had a mac melt at their Big E stand for the first time last night, and i was not disappointed. It was the best grilled cheese i have ever had, hands down. I am a mac and cheese snob. I have my own baked mac n cheese recipe, and i try mac n cheese at different places all the time and it never compares, and it’s almost never very good. But this place has it down! It was SO GOOD!!! The bread was perfectly grilled and buttery, the cheddar and American cheeses tasted great, even has a satisfying stretch with every bite, and the mac n cheese it was stuffed with was amazing! It was worth all the carbs too! Lol

Whew Chile! Big E experience: This place is disgusting. Received my Mac Melt with a 20 inch long blonde hair garnished on top. I politely asked to have my order remade. And after watching 7 Melts get passed out before I received my replacement. I got into a shouting match with several of the women behind the counter, and had my cash thrown at me and asked to leave. All because I politely asked for my order to be expedited and the rude old woman at the register jumped into the conversation that I was having with the woman at the pick up line. The level of disrespect that woman has for the customers is unbelievable. At the very least it would have been nice to hear an apology for having hair in my food, but her response was we all make mistakes and continued to tell us to take the money and leave.My sister had the Mac Melt and I’m happy that I never received my food and got my cash back because it wasn’t worth the 30 minute wait in line.

The sandwiches were decent but this is the second time we have experienced slow and unfriendly service there. They lost our order even as I stood and stared at the staff for 25 minutes and when I asked, I was told the slip fell behind something. Then when they finally came out, my husband suggested they throw in a small bag of chips to make up for making us wait so long and was given a different reason (excuse) that our order took so long. Disappointed with the customer service and high prices. Won’t be back.

We come from CT to visit the Country Store and walk around the green. We love the delicious sandwiches and sweets. It's a favorite thing to do on a Sunday afternoon.

Great location. Awesome varieties of fresh cheese. Many homemade items. Worth the trip from everywhere. Out side seating with great views. Plenty of parking. The staff is accommodating and friendly.

The cheese melts make it worth the drive the Granville Country Store. They have a good selection of other goods which would save you a trip into the city. Make sure to visit their booth in the Massachusetts State Building at the Big E!

Lived in Granville 97 to 05 what a great little market. Found some good cheese and some over priced snacks. Harvest fair every year is madness but in a good way. Very nice people in the area. This store is a piece of local history. Come see and soak up some country attitude.

Was a very nice little market. Got myself a chicken salad and it was a nice size and a very fresh. I enjoyed it and will be bsck,I love how they have local Jars of different types of sauces, pickles and relish all from local farms.Owners are very nice as well.

So I love this place but there was a very rude employee today that caught me off guard his coworker asked him to take the garbage out and he fought with him in front of everyone. I don't think anyone should argue with someone at work the guy at the register was polite and was very busy no reason why the other guy couldn't help him out

Love this little country store. Owners and staff are kind, patient friendly and so helpful. Drive up for lunch, sit in car and call in order from phone, they put it together and bring it out to car.Can't leave without one of their fresh cookies for dessert. Fantastic little surprise out in the country.

Haven't been to their store but we have gotten their melts from the food booth at the Big E and gotta say, hands down the best melts we have ever had. Staff is very friendly as well. Highly recommend. Will definitely be making a trip to the main store in the near future to try more of what they have to offer.

Great great sandwich in a fully legit old town store. Excellent cheese and friendly service with a nice Park out front. The cheese is indeed excellent, and the Reuben was unexpectedly fantastic. Go and be in the past a little bit.

I've been a local for all my life. I have been going here for a life time. Today killed it for me. Bought my son and I breakfast sandwiches and they where burnt hockey pucks on dry bagels. And not to mention they remade the sandwiches and they where still burnt and hardly edible. A waste of my time and money! If I could give them negative stars I would love too

The store is very vintage and they do have a lot of different items.The cheese is superb, but is only aged there now. No longer is it made on site.The sandwiches are great, but it took forever to get mine and people were waiting around for their order to be taken. The clerk was more interested in restocking shelves, the same one who had taken my order. ???? I don't get it. It wasn't that busy on a Sunday afternoon. 2:30 pm.That's why I only gave them three stars.
