I LOVE this place. My wife and I go here quite often and we enjoy browsing around. They have everything including Carhartt clothing and gear, plants, seeds for your garden or farm, animal feed and equipment, some toys for children and just about anything else that you could think of. The employees are always friendly and helpful. You can become a member of the Co-op, if you’d like, for around $100. That will get you a small discount every time you shop here. We did it just because we like this place so much and wanted to help support it. If you like a local business that offers a ton of help and things that you just can’t get anywhere else then you’ve got to stop in to the Hardwork farmers co-op exchange.

Becoming my bi-weekly stop for all my micro farming needs. I always find the staff very helpful, their prices on many things are competitive, and often a better quality selection from the thousands of things that are available for your garden on the internet. Every year I pick up a new law and ornament which they always seem to have some special ones that catch my eye. Thinking about becoming a stockholder too since it's such a wonderful place as a co-op.

Everyone is always so helpful and there is always the little odds and ends that I am looking for that they have. Wonderful to have such terrific grain and other items so close to home. Note the green bird feeder in the picture. It is suppose to be squirrel proof and does a very good job, however it appears to be 100% BEAR proof. Only have seen it at HFC.

Very nice store. Good selection of various items. Garden, farm & lawn needs, pet care, seasonal & decorative things, bird feeders, wind chimes, toys, clothing & lots more. Friendly staff. Many reasonable prices, though some things are a tad steep cost wise. Worth checking out for locals or those passing through the area. **(Update)**: If you have mice or other pests, this store does sell humane style traps that actually do work! Just be sure to check with staff to be sure that you're purchasing the right type & explain you would like the "no kill" more humane option, as there are different types. They also sell a variety of candy here, including old fashioned favorites.

I've been going here to shop for about 8 years now. This is one of our favorite places to visit to buy Organic poultry and dairy feed. They also have nice clothes and gloves and garden things too. A little pricey, but very nice. The membership discount helps reduce the upcharge. They also have courtious employees (the ones who load feed) who do their job quickly and very well with a cheerful disposition. I love it here, even the wood floors that creak a little while you walk on them are wonderful, adding to the great small town country store feeling. Great atmosphere! It's a great place to shop! Nothing cheep here, just good stuff and good quality feed. Hardwick Farmer's Coop is excellent, very unlike big box stores and franchises. I highly recommend it.

Shopped here when I lived in Rutland, MA on quite a few occasions. The prices are fair, though not great. They do have a very wide variety of products though. I found their pet products (including medicine offerings) and food to be really good. They offer many of the smaller brands the big-box stores won't carry.If you are looking for muck boots, very good flannel, or an unique gift they have that here too. Lastly, they have a great nursery. Whether it is grain for the birds or a candle for the table, they have it!

I love this place. Nice and close, really reasonable prices, and they have a huge variety. Everything from your gardening and ag needs, to animal feed and vet supplies, fencing, hardware, anything you need for the farm they've probably got. The staff is always really friendly and helpful as well!

We buy about 550 lbs. a month or so of chicken feed, and other basic supplies, from them, and their prices are consistently about 10% lower that Tractor Supply, or other stores in the area.We also bought our metal roofing material from them, and again, their price was the best around, lower than Home Depot by a good amount for the same brand and type material, and lower than local lumber yard outlets.They also know a lot of people in the area, and if you need anything they can steer you to it. We were installing our own roof, for example, but wanted to get bids before we did, and they knew a lot of guys in the area that do that kind of work.They also were very free with their time giving consultation and advice, and got me hooked up directly with the rep from the roofing manufacturer to get some questions answered.Their hardware prices are competitive. You might pay a buck or so more for a rake or a hoe, but they're good enough if you need this or that while you're up there.In the spring they have a good selective on garden vegetable plants and seeds, seed potatoes, and onion sets, ornamental trees, etc.Also.....You can stop and have a snack at the Rose Bakery nearby, which has delicious fresh-baked pastries and artisan bread, while you're up that way.Good people. A great place to stop. I would describe this as a small, Vermont-style general store meets hardware and farm supply store. I found some great gloves and mittens at very good prices. They have clothing and boots of all kinds as well as tools and pet supplies.

Amazing selection of things you need - this is a hardware store, farmer type clothing shop, and plant/nursery all in one. I went in for boots and found Bogs women's wide calf styles in my size!

This was the first time I have been here in about 22 years. So, I am from a tourists and sentimental review aspect.This is THE place I came to get maple sugar candy when I was a kid. When I returned, they are still selling it. I was sad to see they didn't have the little man maple sugar candy. They had the maple leave shape and the assortment. The boxes say they are locally made so that is cool as well.They sell a lot more than just maplr sugar candy. There is a greenhouse, feed, clothing, boots, gloves, bees wax stuff, artisan soap, candy, and a lot more.It seems like a popular spot for the locals, campers, and for those who want to walk down memory lane.

Let's start with I have gone here for several years late into the pandemic now you need to call ahead? Just for a couple bags of chicken feed? Looked more like an ER with all the people in masks and gloves. Was a positive though was able to find a better place to bring my business without all the craziness and hoops to jump through to feed the hysteria.

I am a member of the Hardwick Co-op you no matter what you need around the farm or Homestead or your basic backyard you can find there. We purchase all our hey Pine shavings rabbit food chicken food and dog food from them. They have a gigantic selection of flowers vegetables trees Etc in the spring and are a nice local business
