Self checkout is an absolute mess. Every time I go here it makes me want to scream. The scale always thinks you put something else in it even if you only got one or two things. The whole operation here is made to inconvenience you at every turn. UPDATE they still are horrible. Your fix for the bad self checkout is to have a trained monkey sit there and clear out the errors. Well they suck at their jobs. It's hard to clear the errors when they aren't paying attention to their jobs and are chattering away with each other. Does someone need to physically smash these checkouts for you to do anything about it. I wish I could give fewer than one star and still give a rating.

They have amazing deals but regular prices are incredibly overpriced. Nothing would bring me to do my shopping here when a market basket is just over 10 minutes away.

Price Chopper of Gardner MA is doing it's best to comply with cdc's recommendation of cleaning between customers, the store is pretty much spotless . they have signs that tell you how far to stand apart and which direction to go in the one-way aisles. There's hand sanitizing stations set up so you can use them, everyone is compliant with wearing masks. In the fish department they have a choice of different seafood dinners you can choose from that are made safe and fresh right there in as little as 10 minutes, you get a good size portion for the price you pay. They also have other dinners like pizza, Chinese and chicken dinners available to order located where the produce area is, and there is limited seating for you to sit and enjoy your food. The customer service at this Price chopper deserves an A++ .

I love this store and especially the points you get and coupons like 5 or 8 dollars off..staff is very friendly and down to earth not fake.

Love Instacarting at this store but it’s very difficult to shop for customers and be efficient when the shelves are empty half the time and the internet is terrible! Instacart shoppers rely on internet to do their job, and when the internet there doesn’t work it effects our efficiency and it affects our tips and our rating! The money the store makes, I’m sure you can afford a decent internet for the customers and those that depend on it!

Went to the deli tonight in Gardner Ma. About 5:50 PM. BAD experience. RUDE customer service. I asked for half a lb sliced thin I got a full lb and I asked to change to half lb and the guy got mad and started slamming things. I got my next order a quarter lb of chicken breast (only got two things) He had to open a new one. Seemed he was miserable. He was rude and he should not be interacting with customers the way he did. Also I got home to my ham and chicken sliced HUGE. NOT THIN. Pretty rude if you ask me. Hope that little boy gets a talking to.Terrible experience. Will not be back.

This is my work and I've got to say out of all the places I have worked before this is my favorite. It's not always easy and the hours can be long but the people I work with are amazing and real. I usually work from 3:00 in the afternoon until midnight and it has to be the best group of people I have worked with in a very long time. It's because of them I actually enjoy going to work. But it's a great store yes we have our flaws but we try our best to improve everything we can. So if there is something you see bring it to our attention and we will do our best to fix it. There are times we're doing a lot and maybe not notice something. But I assure you we try our best.

Customer service has been the worst. The guy at the fish counter makes you think it's a problem if you ask him for something he gets all bent out shape and angry. The new guy at the meat counter when I went there saw me and walked out through the back after several minutes I left he never came back. Finally I go to the cashier who starts yelling seafood alert, seafood alert. The manager or head cashier had to come over a d ring up my seafood said their allergic to seafood. If a employee is allergic maybe for their own safety and well being perhaps they would be better suited in another area where they wouldn't be in danger and constant contact. If you don't want to wait on people don't work in a department that requires customer service. I'm done going there

Not too bad, it's definitely different than Shaw's or Stop and Shop, but they had some good deals. I guess I went a bit late, some produce and things were covered. I know about inflation, but $5 for a loaf of bread or bagels. I just don't get it.

I was putting together my daughter’s bridal shower and Brooke in the deli is absolutely amazing. She is super knowledgeable, kind, and makes you feel at ease with your party order. She knows her stuff!!! She saved me a lot of money and extra food and made awesome suggestions with the food. I will always use price chopper for my party platters! Thank you, Brooke!!

Great staff, produce is alright but you have to check dates ( I've seen bags of lettuce mixed going bad in a day set to full price). Otherwise it has everything you want in a supermarket.

This store is the worst run store I have ever been in. The selection is poor at best, the produce is half rotten when and if you find what you are looking for, the meats are overpriced and not very good. It is poorly stocked and has little selection. How does a store not have basic coffee mat in stock from week to week. Today I asked my husband to pick up 2 artichokes he had to ask as he couldn’t find them, apparently there were only three in the store , as usual they were turning brown , were skimpy, if they were a person they would be on life support, same with the romaine lettuce well passed the time it should have been picked, never mind sold. We stopped buying the bagged lettuce because it was already rotting in the store. Try buying a bag of just plain frozen vegetables ? You can forget that just steamer bags, with fake butter sauce at 3 times the price. This was going on prior as well as now that the supply chain is getting better so this is probably do to a woefully poor management system. I have been to other price choppers and they aren’t nearly as bad but they are not good enough to drive the distance for poor quality food. My husband has been doing the shopping for our family for many years ( he loves it, god bless him) , I stopped going with him to price chopper because I was so agitated and disgusted by not finding even simple items I got headaches before I got out of the store. We already drive 13 miles to get to this store because it is the closest but last week we drove 26 miles to a market basket! Wow what a store! Fresh produce in quantities at less cost, anything you could want . There wasn’t one item it wanted that I couldn’t find or that they didn’t have and more. The lettuce we got from there is still fresh today the one my purchased today might last 2 days if I’m lucky and certainly looks way less appealing. The new store may be slightly more expensive at the register, but the amount of food we throw always because it doesn’t last make shopping at price chopper way to expensive ! So long price chopper!

The reason for three stars instead I don't see where they have chopped prices. In fact they seem a little higher. But,the good side is that they had a terrific Meat and Fish Department and all employees are friendly and willing to assist. Also a sparkling clean facility. Worth the price...!

I shop here frequently, and they usually have what I'm looking for. The meat is good, and so is the produce for the most part. They have a good variety of products, and in some cases stuff I can't find at the other stores in Gardner. The prices are a little higher than other places, but that's really the only major complaint I've ever really had here. Most of the time the deals they run on things make up for slightly above average prices.

The deli closes early every time I go there and they say it is staffing issues. Tonight it was closed again and I had to wait for 10 minutes at the meat counter. No carriages were available, shelves were stocked with labels facing backwards, the bathroom was covered with urine and both sinks were clogged. I even fixed and drained one of them myself so I could wash the chicken juice off my hands because it wasn't packaged properly. This used to be a great place to shop. I will be going to Hanafords up the street until they figure it out or get new management.

The name is actually kind of ironic. Many of the prices have not been chopped. It's kind of Hit or Miss on the regular brands that we look for. But is it convenient place to run out and pick up a few things. And it's nice to see some of the old faces from Stop & Shop. :-)

Clean. Great selections. Good meat but watch for sales or kinda pricy. Nice store. It is my favorite by far in Gardner. Has a wine and beer isle. Very helpful staff.

This is Gardner's biggest grocery market. Due to it's size they have the ability to stock and carry a larger variety of items that other stores in town. So you are likely to find what you are looking for here. Inside you will find all the usual items with a nice open produce, bakery and meats/deli area including some grab n' go items. There is also a small florist area. Though they do have several self check registers you will find several employee operated registers as well. Always a welcome thing.

I stopped here on my way home from Western Massachusetts. It looks like the selection was decent and the prices were reasonable. I bought a case of water. It was the store brand I forget the name. It was really good water. Much better than the major brands that you find everywhere and it was extremely inexpensive. I would stop here and buy it again if I was heading through the area. It was that good.

First 24 hour supermarket i have seen. Great selection and very clean store. Friendly staff and easy layout make navigating the store a breeze. A little pricey, also not enough registers open. But you can use the self checkout to avoid lines.

Price chopper has always had great products & even have items that I can't find at any other store such as OreIda frozen shoestrings french fries! I looked for those at 5-6 other stores & couldn't ever find them! Also Eggo mini-pancakes! Although I think some of their prices are too high, sometimes it is worth it!

Today their pharmacy refused to honor their price on GoodRx. I worked in retail for years and never considered refusing to honor my advertised price. Highly unprofessional.
