Felt extremely uncomfortable at the self checkout today. Whoever was “helping” the costumers approached me and grabbed my tomatoes abruptly telling me I had the wrong code for the item. This could have been done in a much nicer and polite way. There was no need for that kind of treatment.

Well organized, well lit ,well stocked, happy with the prices. Staff could be more friendly and helpful. They all seem to be in their own world and I find it difficult to find help sometimes.UpdateI like to shop early in the morning 8 am. I find your staff to be so focused on stocking that they don't watch out for me at all. I was almost run into 3 different times. Cut off. Not one excuse me, or I'm sorry. I find your staff to be very rude!! I also work in customer service and this is something that we would never get away with. I come all the way from woonsocket to shop at this store and spend a lot. Ot would be nice to feel like I was important and not just an obstacle while I shop at this slower time of day.

Don't get any pre made meat items here. I just got the cordon blue chicken baked it, was absolutely disgusting.i threw most of it in the trash. A few weeks ago I purchased the tri tip and it was mostly tough fat. So expensive just throwing money down the drain for certain items. The pork loins are generally good but the steaks are horrible cuts covered in fats and grizzle that you barely get any meat off them especially for a 12 dollar steak you'd expect more. The steak tips are just as bad. I will never buy meat here again. They do have a great bakery. Never been disappointed there. But save your money. Go to big y they actually have a quality butcher.

This milk cooler door handle has been missing for weeks. The door is difficult to open for many shoppers. You have to stick your hand into the side of the door to pull it open. There's a suction from the seal holding the cold air in and it can be a struggle for some people. Keeping a store accessible to all shoppers is very important. This needs to be fixed! April 20, 2023 Update: There is still no handle on this milk cooler although "management" responded 2 months ago that it would be looked into. Apparently not looking very closely.

They have a pharmacy with good customer service, and you can save a lot if you use their mobile app or get things on sale. Otherwise prices are average to high. Unfortunately the selection is poor, and they actually made it worse to make room for a starbucks. The workers are nice, but don't seem to enjoy working for their employer compared to other local supermarkets. They renovated recently, but it's look is still far from modern. It's close to my home, so I shop there frequently despite it's shortcomings. (3 stars)UPDATE: It's been 2 years since I wrote this review and since then I've noticed worker morale has improved. I was pleasantly surprised by someone in the bakery department who asked if I needed help finding anything, which has never happened to me before. I give credit to the new manager for turning things around. (4 stars)

I was waiting for my gf outside with my hazards on. Her foot has been hurting due to a past surgery. A man slammed his hand on my car saying i couldn’t park there. Then a manager came outside and stared at me while talking on the phone.Management should work on discussing these things instead of taking such harsh action. Amazing customer service !

We found a sale on Whitman's sampler chocolates in the easter section for buy 1 get 1 free for $8.99 and I had taken a picture. When we got to check out, the cashier says it wasn't on sale. I showed him the picture of the sale tag and he had someone go do a price check. The person went down the chocolate aisle (wrong aisle) and came back and told the cashier it was $9.99. Shaw's doesn't seem to honor sales that they themselves post in the store.

I have been shopping at Shaw’s in Franklin for years. Unfortunately the quality of their products has gone WAY down! Produce is very poor!!! Meat department is really lacking and I have stood at the deli/salad and prepared foods with no one else waiting for quite some time. The employees of these departments seem to think it’s ok to hide out in the back room!! OR they just ignore you!! I stood in front of where they have the potato salad, coleslaw and whatever for 10 minutes, (no one else in line) and the two employees that were there never even acknowledged me! Unacceptable!!!!

Have been coming here for years. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable ... Especially Judith in seafoods! They are remodeling & things are a bit hard to find atm...but the employees will stop whatever they're doing to help you find what you’re looking for. I love shopping here & it’s definitely my #1 choice.UPDATE: it’s been a couple yrs since I wrote that review & lets just say things have steadily gone downhill. They’re always are the stock of some of the most popular items. No employees ever stopped to ask if you need help unless you buy a reusable bag they just load up your paper bag so that the minute you pick it up everything is rips right out of bottom and the prices are absolutely insane. Now I do understand everybody’s prices are going up right now , but shopping at either of the other two supermarkets in town will save you ALOT of $…. I can get 2-3x the amount of food for almost half the price (no exaggeration) SHAWS is by far THE Most expensive grocery store in town & lets just the price is not worth the quality you get.

WENT IN THE STORE AND GRABBED A FEW THINGS INCLUDING THIS THAT I TOOK A PICTURE OF STATING THAT ITS EBT ELIGIBLE AND YET THEY TRIED CHARGING ME TAX ON IT SO THAT IT WOULD HAVE TO BE PAID FOR WITH CASH INSTEAD OF MY EBT CARD AND THAT IS INCLUDING THE NIGHT MANAGER SAYING THAT THEY HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS STICKER ON ANY PRODUCT BEFORE AND CONTINUED HARASSING ME ABOUT IT UNTIL I WENT BACK UP AND GRAB LIKE TWO OR THREE OTHERS AND TELL THEM WON'T WANT YOU SCAN THIS ONE SCAN THIS ONE BECAUSE THE ONE I HAD ONLY HAD HALF THE UPC CODE AND THEN THEY THOUGHT THEY COULD CHARGE TAX ON THE ITEM UNTIL I FINALLY GOT ANOTHER ITEM WITH THE SAME STICKER AND AMOUNT AND REMEMBER THAT THE STICKER SAYS EBT ELIGIBLE SUCH MORONS

I’d give them a 0 star! While shopping, I was standing by the bakery department looking at items- my son walked over towards the case to look at cupcakes. I hard someone state, “ Do not touch the glass“ I immediately spoke to her (Isabel ) regarding her rude customer service and asked for a manager. The glass was already marked with hand prints and because my son was brown skin- she felt the need to correct him. making him feel bad for being a kid and picking out cupcakes.I am highly unset and DO NOT TOLERATE racism when it comes to my child.I spoke with Emma (the evening manager)-she acted as if she was feeling sorry about the situation but ran straight to the self checkout area to gossip about my complaint to another employee. As soon as she noticed me walking by she quickly stopped talking! BLACK LIVES MATTER!!!

My favorite Shaws. Everything just right on it's places, nice, fresh and neat. Vegetable section is wow! I don't know who is doing this but all vegies and greens are lined up on shelves. Perfect merchandising.

This supermarket it’s one the AWOSME place to food shopping , the prices is incredible and they have the best amazing chicken lime vinaigrette wings , and pork ribs to die for , and I love that they have my favorite coffee Starbucks inside .I also noticed that after 7 pm they do have sales or just low prices on meats I remember being so amazing how much was a bunch of meat for so low price, I remember end up to feeling my cart with all meat , chicken, pork , stakes and sausage, even they ham and cheeses slices is better from other places .I always go after 8pm after I close my shopSo that is my be the low prices come in I m not sure about it, all I know I love it .I will be back for the delicious pork ribs already cooked for only $12.99 at prepared food area , it’s already cooked and really nice and hot .One thing that I do like is my rib falling out of the bone and they didn’t cooked that way cuz the way they did is smoked and is like almost as stakes style .I didn’t love it but I put those babe in the oven for another 2 hours 375 degrees and that sit it was perfection .But if u do like as a stake hey that u it was good taste but I love to be more then cooked I guess .But anyone will be back for more for sure .See u soon shaws

On 5/23/23 purchased 4 pack of muffins for $6.99 was charged an additional $.49 tax. Since when is a bakery item taxed? Purchased 4 pack of muffins at big y no tax charged. Spoke to manager "Jay" told me all food is taxed in Massachusetts, told him only prepared food is taxed. Stop & shop does not charge tax or big y. How is shaws allowed to charge 7% thought the going rate was 6.25 in mass

Overall decent food, but almost every time i go there is no bagger so i have to bag my groceries almost every time until someone notices and decides to help while im almost done and they dont even bag them good. kind of annoying but other than that its fine

Fantastic store with everything arranged neatly and rarely changes so finding an item is a a breeze. Thee store is always kept squeaky clean. My 4 stars is due to the fact that fat free ultra filtered milks -both my go to Chobani fat free ultra-filtered milk and my backup Fairlife fat free ultra-filtered milk are nowhere to be found for the past 1 month :-( PLEASE stock them extra. Those two sections have been completely empty on the dairy section refrigerator for a while now

Nice place, but the gentleman that was collecting carts around 4pm today was not wearing a mask, cleaning the carts, and pushing them back inside. Even though he is outside, I still dont feel that great taking a cart that he's touched... He keeps touching his face, and wiping his snot covered nose all over his hands... just gross...The inside isn't as bad. Very clean, staff is very friendly. Just not a great first impression.

Check your receipts, cashiers have both missed discounts and double rang. Also check dates, have found and unfortunately bought expired food days, weeks, and in a few cases month old! Overall it is clean and most employees are friendly and helpful. Don't expect much help in the seafood department and you will get additude if you ask them to steam lobster. Not sure why they even offer. I am now electing to spend my money elsewhere, recommend you do the same.

I think your store sucks at best. It's good that Shaw can use Covid as in excuse. I have been shopping at Shaw for over 50 years each year it seems that it gets a little worse. At one time it was a really good store. Someone should walk around the store on see how many holes there are on the shelves.

I usually don't shop at Shaw's, but the food pantry gave us gift certificates so I needed to go there to buy items that cannot be purchased with food stamps. I found the store very clean and the staff most friendly and courteous. But, compared to the other markets in the town, I found their prices very high. They don't have the variety of major brands that I like and always buy. I purchased three Febreze plug in's and when I got home there were only two in my bags. Unfortunately, I rely on public transportation and could not go back to the store to solve this issue. I'm out $7.99 and I am on Social security benefits and that is a lot of money. I called but they told me that they needed the cash receipt.

Compared to other Shaw's I've shopped, this one is outstanding. No matter when I may shop I find the shelves well stocked. You won't find staff standing around chatting as they "work" and they are quick to help if you need it.The deli Manager is great. He knows his products and they have a wide selection on international meats/cheeses.I particularly like their ready to go meals. Not just chicken, and soups, meatloaf and pastas with sides.

This grocery store typically looks dirty. It's not super well lit either. It looks like they are running on half power all the time. Packages of meat are always sticky and full of blood that seems to spill all over and there are no napkins to be found to wipe your hands. The staff is generally pleasant and helpful. It's an expensive grocery store, I don't shop there unless they're having really good sales.

I have shopped this store since it opened many years ago but since the upgrade, I have had a real problem with this store. Prices have risen markedly, quality of some produce has gone down considerably. Had to go through 3 packages of strawberries the other day to find one that wasnt showing signs of mold. I should have bypassed them but didn't. Threw them out this morning. Since local blueberry season has passed, the price of their imported blueberries has gone out of sight.I bought a package of American cheese last week and threw it out today. MOLD. Price of cold cuts has risen as has cereal. I used to like this store as it is just around the corner from me but am now seriously thinking of traveling 2 miles to their competitor and see if they are any better.

I really appreciate the return of self checkout as I prefer to use that feature in the places I shop. The attendant (and the trainee) were most pleasant and efficient in assisting me with the discount items that I purchased today.

I’m still attempting to get used to a new store - especially their electronic sign in, digital coupons being applied correctly, etc. Confusing. In general, Produce is a disappointment. Sale items are a good savings.

Go there for the weekly sale. Digital coupons are easy to clip. Almost no lines when using the self check out line.
