By far the best pie place in the world. I am quite serious. I was born and raised in Russia and know good pie. I had all sorts of different pies all over the world from the former Soviet republics to Ireland to Africa and I have to say that this is by far the best I've ever had. They have a rotating menu so I'm always pleasantly surprised when I walk in to find new and delicious pies to try. I live near Boston so it takes me an hour and a half to get here and I don't come often so when I do I usually buy 10 pieces to go. Must try if you are anywhere in the area!!!I've been coming a few years now. They are always absolutely amazing. I just spend $100 on pies alone. I drive for 2 hours just to come here. It is absolutely a must visit place.

I've driven by here at least a dozen times, but never had the ability to stop. Today we did. I didnt get to try any actual pie, but whT we did have was wonderful. Staff was attentive, and welcoming. The inside is quaint and comfortable, and all of the food looks amazing. My little one wanted 2 cookies, and I enjoyed a cookies and cream bar/tart. We were incredibly pleased.

Warning! The PIE BAR is irresistibly seductive, both in atmosphere & service, but most of all in intense perfection of flavor, ingredients and the delicious results. You will need great self-discipline to not over-do, tempted to spend the rest of your happy life here. My wife and I took home a cherry pie the other day and agreed it surpassed all expectations, in every category of measurement: home baked crust, bursting abundance of fruit, tangy cherry nature just slightly tamed by a touch of sweetness. As we are moving into town this spring, my wife and I know we will have to set strict limits on the frequency of our indulgences at the PIE BAR.

Florence Pie Bar is the easiest decision if you want pie - for any occasion! We get them for every holiday and family party so it was an obvious choice when picking our wedding dessert. They offered out of season fruit pies, delivery to our venue and the ordering process was so easy. We highly endorse the lemon chess pie; but every flavor we have tried (and we have tried A LOT) is delicious!

Though I love supporting a local pie business that creates inspired baked goods and everything smells like luscious butter, my biggest critique is the SIZE of a slice of pie for $5 or $5.50 which is the smallest piece of pie you will find anywhere and it will be smaller than your adult hand. Today is Mother's Day and I took pictures of the $5.50 Italian Almond Tart slice next to the $3 scone. The scone is bigger and burnt on the bottom. Does that make sense to you? I want to ask the Florence Pie Bar to use a standard pie pan that is 9 inches in diameter and 1-1/4 inches deep so charging $5 a slice would be more respectful to their loyal customers; or, reduce the prices of your tiny slices. And on a positive note, their food is delicious and the hand pies are wonderful. But if the scones are going to be bigger than the slices of pie, maybe they should rename their business the Florence Scone Bar. 50% Of the time, your baked good will be a little burnt like the bottom of my scone this morning. The staff are very nice, but the portions and prices and baking quality could have some improvements.

New owners and the Bar has been lowered...This is an updated review--a eulogy really. My favorite pie shop is no more.The classic Pie Bar's pecan pie was legendary. I religiously pre-ordered it for holidays for several years. The custard was like no other: buttery in texture, just the right level of sweetness, and a deep, complex flavor with hints of cocoa. The crust was ample and flaky. A true delight.I am sad to report that pie of my dreams is no more. They have reduced the amount of crust; the rim is barely there and the bottom so thin it might at well be paper. Further, I believe they changed the fat mix, because the flakes are more or less gone. (Might just be rolled too thin, in their effort to shrink their crust cost.) Worst of all, the custard is now cloying, simple, and just like any other pecan pie filling I have had: boring, gelatinous, and sickly sweet.The lemon chess filling was fine, but the skimpy crust was fatal flaw.Finally, the new owners lack grace completely. They do not say thank you. They do not chat. Your thank you is met with: 'No problem'--a graceless response. We do not owe you our business! Goodbye, I will miss my delightful pies and pray for a day that someone serious about quality and appreciative of their customers opens a new shop...

This place is to die for! I am a super highly discriminating pastry customer and I cannot stop raving about this place. Imagine yourself having a relative who is a professional pastry chef, who makes outstanding home-made stuff using the best ingredients. That's your Florence Pie Bar. I adore their quiches, savory scones, savory and sweet galettes, and every single pie I have tried has been phenomenal. Their meat handpies are also superb. Everything is always so flavorful, and always hits the spot!

Bizarre experience here today that left a bad taste in my mouth. I went in to buy a fruit pie. One left, great! But, no, they refused to sell the whole pie to me because “we are saving it for slices”. Hmm. “Okay, think of me buying the whole pie as buying all the slices.” “No, we have to save it for slices.”Such bizarre logic from a merchant: turning down a certain sale for the prospect of uncertain future sales. Apparently Florence Pie Bar prefers to let baked goods get older, less fresh, than to sell fresh pies to someone who really wanted to buy one.

Visited recently for my first time, after hearing about this joint for years.. Enjoyed an excellent Guinness stew hand pie. Clearly the proprietors are pros! The crust was tender and wonderful color.The filling was very flavorfull and left me wanting a second pie. Excited to sample more of their selections soon. The staff are very kind and pleasant too.

Anyone complaining about the price of a slice clearly has it too good. For the price of a slice that size with this places quality that would easily go for 12-15 dollars a slice in the city. This place is incredible. All I have to say is Bravo. Support your local business stop being cheap and enjoy what you have. When you eat out you are paying for craftsmanship and service, NOT ingredients. From filling to crust to price this pie shop is a 5 star. If you haven’t tried it you are seriously missing out. My review: Wow 10/10. We came all the way from Boston to try, only to find the store was closed because they had a tent at taste of north Hampton. We went an extra 15 minutes out of our way to find these pies at the festival and it was the best decision we made. We hope to replace our wedding cake with pie bar.

We have been buying sweet and savory pies here since their opening years ago. We have never been disappointed. The quality of the food and diverse menu is tremendous. This bakery is fantastic and we are extremely lucky to have it in Florence. Also the staff is excellent and always, always polite and helpful. This bakery is a blessing to all who visit. Even the cold drinks they make are excellent. We love The Pie Bar and are grateful for their existence!!!

Our family absolutely LOVES going to the Florence Pie Bar. The perfect lunch place on a weekend. You can’t go wrong at the pie bar! They have a variety of savory snacks: for a vegetarian family, we often struggle to find many options - but the Florence Pie Bar has a veggie version of most things. Their sweets are also amazing: mouthwatering pies, fantastic cookies, and an overall delicious menu. Their staff are very friendly and welcoming. The wait rarely tops a minute. If you are a visiter to the Northampton/Florence area, definitely put this place on your list. Thank you Florence Pie Bar!
