Having bought plastic cloche 'greenhouses' for plants to get a jump on warmer weather--inadvertently some of the metal pins that are pushed into soil 'disappeared.'Thankfully the wonder women at Florence Hardware helped me to find a replacement---that actually is better than the originals!!! Whenever we need an item even vaguely related to our home, we always check Florence Hardware first because they always have it!Supplies for a bathroom remodel? Check.A wide range of caulk for a quick fix? Check.Gardening supplies, canning goods, kitchen tools? Check, check, check!Even in the midst of the first COVID lockdown, guess which store still had hydrogen peroxide, isopropyl alcohol, and masks?!This place is like the magical room of requirement in Harry Potter--if you need something it seems to suddenly appear there! And their friendly staff always leave me smiling and asking myself why anyone goes to a big box store. Thanks, Florence Hardware!

Throughout the last 10 years, Florence Hardware has become my go-to hardware store. It’s easy to recognize the significance of this family-run staple of our community. I love that they have kept the old-fashioned feel of the historic building by preserving old features and by offering warm advice as you walk through the door.You won’t find 30 foot tall ceilings and an entire warehouse full of toilets in their store, but I’ll go out of my way to visit them when I need something for a household repair. And when they don't have whatever I'm looking for in stock, they've always offered to order it for me.I'd recommend making friends with the family at Florence Hardware to anyone in the area!

Nice family run, old school neighborhood hardware store. Really crowded shelves, but organized and packed full. Everyone knows where things are, so if you ask, they will actually help you. Sometimes, mostly, they'll ask you first if you need help. Amazing, and the owners and employees are pretty good problem solvers.Save the trip to the big box store to save a little $$, and support your local, friendly hardware store. Plus. The floors creak as you walk around.

A little more expensive than the big box stores, but well worth it if you value your time (the staff knows where every item in the store is located, and it's purpose, and maybe an alternative item) You can be out the door 5 minutes after you arrive with what you need. Or maybe you need something that someone that lives in Florence center would need, like parts and tools for 100 year old radiators - they've got them.

Maybe this is how all stores were before the advent of corporate chains, I don’t know. What I do know is that the owners and people who work here have an encyclopedic knowledge of where everything is (and do not let their relatively unassuming storefront fool you—it’s way bigger than you think inside), they are never too busy to not help you with whatever questions you have, and every time I come in, I’m so grateful they are in the neighborhood.

Somehow this little local hardware shop manages to have everything. A few times they haven't had what I needed on hand so they ordered it for me and one time even called the other hardware stores in the area to see who had what I needed! Very friendly and knowledgeable and high quality products.

I needed help with a tie down that had come off the riding mower that I was towing. I stopped here, Todd made sure I had the right tie down, then helped me move the mower to the correct place on the trailer, then tied it down. I can't say enough how very helpful this was to me. I was very stressed and had a long way to get that mower home. Thank you so much, the world needs more people like you guys!

Florence Hardware is one of the pillars of the town. They have everything a homeowner needs for repairs, yard work, and most projects. I know quite a few pros who stop in. Don't let the small size fool you...there is MUCH more to Florence Hardware than meets the eye!
