We love Preppy Pets. The new owners are fantastic and had already been there working in the business before the transition. They have always been very responsive and always called or emailed if there was a concern or problem. They have always taken great care of our dog, in both daycare and boarding.

Needs to update website that they are NOT taking new pets. Such a shame cant help but wonder if my pup was denied because he suffers from epilepsy and is on medication. He really is such a great puppy. Staff was unhelpful in letting me know if there was even a waitlist… truly disappointing

I bring both of my dogs here, and they love it. They've got a larger boarding area, so both can stay together. I've brought my older dog somewhere else. She got nervous, and started missing me. When I got her, I could tell she had lost weight. Here she seems to be happy, and hasn't really acted to odd about going here. She actually seems kinda glad to go here and not somewhere else. This is the only place where I've brought the younger one. He's only been twice, but was pulling me to get in the boarding area sooner. I'd definitely recommend.

They carry some really good quality dog food and treats here. We've also boarded one of our dogs with them, and they are SO loving towards dogs there. I always felt like our lab probably didn't want to come home from her times spent there.

Great little shop.I have been in here twice, but never did daycare or boarding with them.Their prices are very fair. I usually come to buy chews and treats for my puppy.They sometimes have vendors and samples in for you to talk to and try their products.

They took care of our special needs cat while we were out of the country for almost two weeks. She bounced back right away after wr took her home which we know is because of the love and care she got at preppy pet. The staff is great, patient and clearly love their jobs. And to top everything off, the prices are unbeatable. I would give 6 stars if I could. This will definitely be our go to place in the future.

I was very pleased when I brought my stubborn French Bulldog to get his nails cut. My frenchie absolutely hates nail trimmings, and the staff did an amazing job and was able to cut all his nails (clean cuts by the way)! I will definitely be coming back here!

People, service and prices are all perfect. We only had the nails trimmed on our two Bichons, which is not an easy task. They were quick and did an outstanding job. We will return.

It is a great place for dog food and treats. Although the food is selective, but worth it. Also, they provide a homemade treats too. My dog 🐶 loves the chicken jerky. The people is nice and great place to shop.

I moved my dog from here immediately when he was attacked by another dog and nobody contacted us to let us know. They had the groomer shave half his leg and clean it up, as if she was a veterinarian. They made the decision for me that my dog was fine and that he could wait until pick-up time to address the wound. I completely understand that these situations happen but the way the situation was handled was baffling to me. My dog was brought straight from daycare to our local veterinarians office and treated with antibiotics as a precaution.A year later it's absolutely heartbreaking to hear that a dog was attacked and died in their care, but to be honest I am not surprised. Very glad I didn't sit around and wait for this to happen to my beloved pup. It seems as though it may be time to reevaluate the attendance levels that are deemed appropriate for the size of the facility. Maybe Preppy Pet will start to value safety of the animals in its care, over money.

I moved to Fitchburg right at the start of the pandemic with my dog that was already overdue for grooming. Having a senior dog with anxiety issues I was very nervous about taking her somewhere. A neighbor recommended Preppy Pet. Bella went in today - and when I say she was a shaggy overgrown mess I am being kind! Bella came out looking like my precious cockapoo again! I am beyond thrilled with her cut, her smell, the softness of her fur... I can't say enough. So excited of finding such a professional, caring and talented groomer, I highly recommend!

My dog Jasper loves to go to playtime and daycare here. He gets so excited every morning to go and they treat him very good. I would not leave him anywhere else.

The owners are extremely interested in the welfare of animals and keeping up with current affairs regarding dog safety and health. I have used both their day care and over night services as well as their retail store, and I continue to return over and over.A particular example - my very old beagle had very long nails over the winter as I didn't want to cut them so she'd be able to dig into the ice during walkies. Well, I went too long and her nails were out of control. I felt absolutely horrible. The groomer at Preppy Pet took her right in, no fuss, and five minutes later, a wagging beagle came out with beautiful feet. I thought for sure, since they were so long and the nails were black, she'd have nicked at least one vein. But no, they were perfect. I will never go anywhere else again.

Definitely a good place to take your dog. My dog likes going and comes back worn out from playing so much. Fair rates and accommodating staff. Wouldn't consider going anywhere else in the area.

My two Havanese are velcro dogs - follow me from room to room. When we go to Preppy Pet, however, they barely give me a goodbye glance as they head for the boarding space. They've been going to Preppy Pet for occasional boarding (as long as ten days at a stretch) for several years now. I know they will always be happy there and get great care.
