Always a positive and healthy place to get your birds! Despite what an ignorant and obviously uneducated customer comment (rodent of an unusual size)( his name says it all) ( He admits being new to birds yet tries to spout as if he was and expert), this place has always done the right thing by all birds ever in their care! They have everything you could ever want for a bird as a a new or existing owner. It’s the only place I will ever go for birds and their needs!

I got my two bird friends from here and they were well habituated, healthy, and I got to bond with them before they came home. They have a wide variety of toys and food, and accessories and their boarding is inexpensive and comprehensive.

We have been coming to the Parrot and Bird Emporium for two years. We have purchased several birds, treats/food, have come for grooming, boarding, DNA testing, and have even come to just let our birds socialize. The staff here are undeniably dedicated to the birds, and are beyond friendly. The entire store is clean including all cages, play stands, and floors. All of the birds are healthy, tested for disease and seen by a vet regularly. I've never met a group of people more dedicated to the well being of all of the birds in their care, and knowledgeable about all of the species they board, groom, or sell. Please remember that this is a business not a petting zoo. The staff don't want anyone to get bitten, and don't find it amusing when it happens. You wouldn't approach a random dog without asking permission. The same applies here. To ensure the wellbeing of all birds and visitors, be sure to ask permission before touching.Rest assured you will not be disappointed.

I have been going to the parrot and bird emporium for many years, their older location as well. Although I live a little ways away, it's so worth it. The amount of love and care the establishment brings to their customers and birds, it is very clear how devoted they are. I have a harlequin macaw and I've been very nervous getting his wings trimmed (I don't want him to hate me for 80+ years!) They went above and beyond to make sure it was a calming and professional experience for him. I knew and was confident they were the ONLY place that could pull it off, and keep him rest assured. Beyond that and before owning him, I would always resort to going there to see the genuine dedication by the workers, and how happy the birds are....it gave me happiness on a cloudy day. Thank you, for all you guys do...you heal more than you know. Thank you!

This is not an ordinary bird store. When you go up the stairs your greeted with fantastic workers that are very knowledgeable and helping. You have birds of all ranges out of the cages and you can play and interact with them. If you bonded with one they will teach you everything you need to know. I just bought a baby quaker but I can't take him home till he gets weened off of formula. They helped me with everything like a bird cage toys everything for the setup. I totally recommend this place for anyone.

Very nice. Lots of birds to look at. Tons of toys. Staff was amazing. The only place they lacked were in food and supplements. We traveled 2.5 hours to go and it was a fun day. Might be a once a year excursion. I would recommend the trip

Me and my mom drove 2 and a half hours to get to this place and it was well worth the drive! Right when we walked in we were greeted at the door and showed around the place by one of the staff members! There were so many birds that we were able to interact with and hold. Everyone there is really friendly and well educated with birds. If you are looking to buy a bird from as small as a budgie to as big as a macaw, this is the place for you! They also sell cages, toys, nuts/bird food, bird carrier and bird harnesses. They treat their birds with care and offer harness training and nail/beak trimming as well as bird sitting. You don't have to have a bird to go to this place, you can simply go just to look around and you will have a great time. I will definitely be visiting again! 💕

!!!!!ADOPT A PARROT TODAY AND AVOID SHOPPING AT STORES LIKE THIS!!!!!-Poor sanitation: birds they have for display are allowed free flight in store, even in a separate room than where they are housed/boarded (yes, this place does boarding), the products purchased here are guaranteed to have feather dander or worse, poop on them. They let the birds stretch their wings and get some time out of their cramped cages in the back(more on that later), but it shouldn't be at detriment of others pets and or in such an unsanitary manner. Many stands/trees they had were quite dirty with droppings/dusty from feather dander as well as covered in vet tape or had unsafe toys (very chewed communal sneaker toys, cotton rope, etc) which could lead to birds ingesting such material out of boredom. Be aware if your recent purchase from this establishment stops eating, has a change in appetite/droppings or starts throwing up and bring them to a vet immediately. This information could save their lives.-Poorly trained staff: A staff member failed to give me the proper information on how to care for my bird when I was obviously a new owner and admitted such. I asked for care advice such as diet, housing, and general care and got a hesitant and seemingly regurgitated script about pellets, fresh veggies, and seeds/millet being treats. I liked that the birds were on a varied diet but the explanation was unoriginal and less helpful than an internet article. Another instance of this lack of education comes in the form of a clearly sick ring neck chick, who was so ill he couldn't even raise himself to stand properly erect. I was handed the bird, cooed to about how cute he is and how he's just a silly guy who won't stand up right. Poor thing had almost no strength, weakly protesting as it was handed over to me, I held, talked to and gently stroked the bird for at least 20 minutes or more before they realized I was still holding them. I had to seek out an employee just to offer the bird back to leave the store, they had "forgotten" that the bird was given to me.-Poor boarding/housing area: Budgies and other smaller species were kept in groups in less than ideal caging situations (cramped, dirty, over crowded, no toys). These conditions were the norm for their smaller parrots that I could see. I also disliked that some cages had mixed species of bird. An example being an Indian ring neck and a quaker parrot together in the same cage. The quaker was obviously freaked out and screaming a warning at the ring neck the whole time I was in the store. Another instance was a customer speaking with me about how ill their bird was and the bird was staying here while they were at work. They had a sick bird, in boarding, in the same area that their available to purchase pets are allowed to free fly. This is extremely irresponsible and a great way to spread sickness to other parrots.-Poor breeding standards: It's important a pet parrot has a good attitude, if they have a poor temperament it doesn't matter how beautiful the bird is. People don't want birds who bite, are prone to illness or improperly trained with existing bad behaviors. There's always an influx of new birds at this location. Always barely feathered chicks.-Poor training: AVOID TIKO, THE GREEN QUAKER, THE OWNER'S BIRD. HE WILL BITE YOU, EVEN IF HE'S SEEMING FRIENDLY AND TALKING/REACHING TO YOU. THEY WILL ONLY LAUGH IT OFF IF YOU SAY YOU'VE BEEN BITTEN. It's clear almost all the birds are not hand tame. None I interacted with would accept a treat or interaction with strangers unless forced by staff (i.e. handed to you, fed by them, etc). Bizarre behavior in pets ready to go home.-Vector site for disease: After a bird I purchased at this location got ill, my veterinarian admitted to me that several birds saw the clinic with disease issues from here. The most notable examples of disease were: Avian Chlamydiosis and AGY (avian gastric yeast). All the more reason to avoid this place.

I recommend never boarding a bird here. They let my African grey sit, egg bound, for 4 days without getting her seen by a vet. At the same time they told me she was fine and they would get her to a vet if needed. On my way from the airport they again said she was fine. The second I arrived I knew she was not fine. I actually had to check her band to know she was mine as she didn't even look like my bird. She was severely dehydrated and bleating in pain. And that is when they said she needed a vet. They were too lazy or cheap to get her to one. My bird almost died because of it. They slathered her with oil which did nothing but coat her feathers so it was a good six months before she could fly again. They handled her roughly in front of me jabbing at her vent which probably caused her egg to become misshapen. As I frantically made calls to find an emergency avian vet in the area, their staff came in asking me if they could have one last cuddle with my traumatized bird! Because of this place, my bird required emergency surgery. They handled her inappropriately which prompted the egg laying. They had sent me videos of them stroking her and I had told them to stop, that her wings were dropped and they were making her hormonal. Stay well away from them. They clearly don't know much about birds. Btw, my bird laid an egg this year without any problem...because I know what to do. They don't.

If your a bird lover you will love this place it's amazing. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of birds to choose from. You can tell right off that the birds are very well cared for and loved. You can purchase a baby and visit much as you like to bond until it's old enough to come home with you....the more you visit the stronger the bond you have before taking your baby home. There is a large "bird room" setup with comfortable chairs so you can visit your baby and watch all the other birds out playing. They also have a great selection of cages, toys, food and anything else a bird needs. They do also board birds for a reasonable price if any "parronts" need a vacation. I'm never going anywhere else. Wish I found them sooner!

Wonderful experience from the moment I walked through the door. The birds are taken care of so excellently that I cannot imagine leaving mine any where else. The staff is friendly and more than knowledgeable with every question related to birds. If you are looking to purchase a bird or train or need someone to look after your bird while you are away I would only recommend them.

it was our First time visit to this unbelievably awesome place!! I was in awe how Clean, this bird estlablishmentIs superb!! Janet and Debbie the owners are outstanding it the knowledge they have with so many different species of birds. They are so caring and respectful to all of their birds. My daughter purchased a Quaker birdAll of the birds that one would purchase from this establishment are HAND FED as babies by the owners and the staff. So being said hand fed birds are so much friendlier and Healthier than NON hand fed birdsSo one just does not go into this store and bring home a bird. The baby birds need to be hand fed for several months before they can go home with youAs a new bird owner you can bust your baby bird as many times a day as you would like. Janet and Deb owners encourage this. As your baby bird is getting nurtured and fed he is around zillion other species of birds so he learns lots of socialization. Also they have Awesome prices on cages, toys and foodIm so happy with this establishment!! We actually live 2 hours away from this storeSo worth a car ride for the service providedGina L

I bought my beautiful Harlequin Macaw here. This is a Top Notch local business. The owners and employees are highly educated in all types of birds. I would not go anywhere else. You would love the experience of just going there to be with the birds while being in the company of people who love to educate people of all ages.

If you are looking for a bird this is the only place you need to go. We recently got a green cheeked conure from them. From the first day until we could take are baby home the experience was fantastic! Every person that works there is so enthusiastic and have birds themselves. You can visit and spend time with your bird whenever you want until they are old enough to go home.

One of the best bird place I ever been in. They actually care about the birds and how the owner cares for it. They even train the bird before you get it which I think is just a full on steal. We cannot wait to get our bird in 3 months, we are very excited

They were so nice and professional! They made sure I was prepared and had everything I needed for my baby!T hank you so much guys I would never go any where else! UPDATE TO A FEW MONTHS LATER: I just got another baby budgie from here and it was again a good experience. Fast forward to the next day, everything was normal til the afternoon and this probably was the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced in my life time. I just came back from the store and whenever I open my front door the birds would start chirping... but I heard nothing so I knew something was up. I go into the bird room to see my new baby budgie (who is housed with my other budgie) with his head hanging on the keychain that holds one of his toys. I started panicking and grabbed the baby from the cage while my sister ran to get my parents. My mom de-attached the toy from the lock, then my dad was trying to get the piece off but couldn’t. We called an avian vet but there was nothing they could do unless we came in but they were to far away. So our next option was to call this place. They said they could try to do there best so my parents rushed him there. An hour later they come back with a tired baby budgie who was very happy to Ben home. Now his older brother is watching over him while he naps. Thank you guys you saved my birds life.

If my parrot could leave a review, he'd say he loves coming here and it's like his home away from home. They have a huge selection and the staff is always very helpful. We've been coming since the original location and it's great to see they're expanding.

I've so far gotten 4 brids from here, the workers are amazing and so sweet. The training courses work and help with any type of bird. They have great prices 10/10 would definitely recommend. Just remember to isolate the new bird for 1-2 months (if you have other birds) and if the bird seems sick in any way bring them to the vet immediately.

This place looks and feels scammy. Reviews look fake. It's not on Google Street View. No one should be shipping birds. What's going on? Doesn't add up.

We got our first cockatiel here, and now visiting for our second. Everyone is really great about answering questions. It's definitely better to call ahead of time if you are hoping for more direct thorough communication, as they can get extremely busy, plus taking care of all the birds. My little guy came knowing the step up command, and he's pretty social and loving. I would def recommend!
