Fabulous little ice cream & candy shop! Ice cream is made on site and is delicious. Lots of candy options for those who are dairy free (no dairy-free options for scoops at this time.) don’t miss the chocolate treats on the highest top shelf. Try some of the more interesting flavors like lemon lavender or buttered banana!

Massive line but totally worth the wait. This is not your stereotypical ice shop with regular flavors so do be mindful of that. However, this is the creamiest and BEST ice cream in Edgartown.Another note - A little tough later in the night (after 9pm) because a lot of the flavors were out by the time we got there so come which multiple flavors in mind. HIGHLY recommend the strawberry (it was the real, not syrupy/fake kind). The maple walnut was great with big chunks of walnuts. And the cookies and cream had the most cookies in cream I have ever seen.

During our day trip to Martha’s Vineyard, we looked for an ice cream shop in Edgartown. They had a few to choose from, and we tried Scoop Shack.They had more than just ice creams, but candies, toys, and other souvenirs. It was a nice size shop, but didn’t offer any table or chair, which was a bummer.They had a cute posters on the wall that said “Frozen Green Tea with mint and Honey” and “Frozen Root Beer.” But when I asked about those flavors, the staff told us they don’t make them any more… So, don’t trust the flavors on the side wall… The very colorful menu on the center wall is current, and unless they sold out of some flavors, they are the ones that they actually offer.We got Brown Sugar Banana flavor and Butterbeer flavor ice creams. Banana one was so creamy, almost mushy than creamy, like mashed banana. I really liked it! Butterbeer one was not quite like the ones from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios. This one here had similar flavor to Root Beer, but much more tasty.The staffs were not overly friendly but nice enough. We enjoyed their ice cream, and we were lucky enough to find a bench nearby. Great spot for a very flavorful ice cream!

Amazing ice cream. I’m very picky and a bit of a self proclaimed ice cream connoisseur and this place has unique flavors, but the ice cream consistency is perfect. Some of my favorite ice cream in the United States. The brown sugar banana is my favorite and often sold out, which makes me sad. Staff is always soooo friendly, which is hard to find on the vineyard if I’m being honest.

Kids loved this place with plenty of choices for everyone. The homemade waffle cones were fresh and yummy! Also had other candy options if ice cream isnt your thing. I wish they had frozen yogurt options.

HOSTILE TO FOOD ALLERGIES. Believing that “homemade ice cream” made on the premises was a good bet for telling us wether particular flavors had eggs or nuts we made two attempts here and in both cases, staff was unwilling to be helpful in any way, telling us, in one instance, that they “cross contaminate all the containers anyway so we shouldn’t try to find out ingredients.” Disgraceful. We have often found that one of our party can’t eat at a particular place but have never been met with rudeness. I guess the line out the door means more than being decent humans.

I am so late writing my review but I was at the Scoop Shack last month and had the best ice cream. It was delicious and the ladies who were working behind the counter were so sweet. My sister and I had really appreciated the great customer service we had after a terrible experience at a restaurant that was down the street. When I go back next year I will be making it a mission to get another scoop.

Went here with the family and enjoyed the experience. They had a number of flavors and we actually got to meet the guy responsible for making the ice cream and he was a great individual. Overall, there seem to be about four different ice cream shops within 100 yards, we've tried two of them. We certainly prefer the ambience and customer service of this shop over the others.

Nice little ice cream and candy shop. They have all kinds of great candy and classic little toys and tokens. Store has a cool style. Lots of ice cream options too which is great. Crunchy PB, mint Oreo, s'mores, sorbets, etc. Cute workers too 😊

Best ice cream on MV, and that’s saying something on an island known for it.If I had to recommend one flavor, it would be peanut butter. I’ve never had anything like it.So, get a scoop and head down Dock St. to the wharf. You won’t be disappointed.

Best Ice Cream in town by far. These two 1-star reviews are really funny because 1 - they are complaining about a totally different venue as it is an ice cream shop, not a lobster roll store. 2 - that is a very reasonable price for a lobster roll.

You can't go wrong with the sea salt caramel truffle and Heath bar mix. The scoops are enormous so you'll likely be fine with 1 scoop (even split between 2 people).

excited to come to this eatery after reports of great lobster rolls at a price of only 7 bucks but i was immediately let down after finding they had raised the price to a horrifying 19.50 dollars! it is very shocking this business thought it could price such a dish at such a shocking price. i did try the lobster roll after hearing such brilliant stories about it and seeing the 'Islands #1 rated' plastered on the chalkboard. It was a huge letdown. The bun was limp, tasteless and unsatifactory at holding the lobster salad. the size of the lobster roll was also limited- i was exspecting something that would FILL ME UP at such a steep price but i was left hungry and deeply unsatisfied. A discarded gherkin was awkwardly placed next to a small serving of overly salty fries and I felt frustrated i had spent so much money on something which was made with little care and love. I warn all visitors to Edgartown to keep away from this eatery and not be fooled by its reputation and advertisements! If you are hungary and after something to eat i would recommend walking 5 steps further to 'A slice of Edgartown' which serves a large tasty slice of pizza at the price of 3.50 dollars. The card machine was not working which was incompetent and inept and I regret thisThe price here is disrespectful and frustrating and would advise many to not invest in such a limited dish.
