Pros: Good food, great desserts, nice patio, and talented local owner.Cons: Long waits, poor communication, poor waitstaff customer service, customers are charged 3% merchant services fee on top of bill when paying with a debit or credit card.Specific complaint leading to this post:Called in a takeout order of a bowl of soup and drink. Upon arriving, ordered the 2-slice Chicago pizza special and waffle fries for my daughter. This was a takeout order, not a sit-down meal. It took over **30 min** for the order to be ready.The reasons for the late service were:1. Chicago pizza takes a while to heat up (@15 min check in).2. We’re slammed. (@ 30 min check-in).A 30 min wait may be appropriate for a sit-down meal, but not for a takeout order placed at the counter. Numerous other takeout and door dash orders came and went while we waited.Appropriate customer service responses would have been:1. Apologize for late service, check in with me as customer to acknowledge the problem.2. Warn customer ahead of time if you are “slammed” or understaffed.3. Refund portion of meal to make it right.Finally, I’m attaching a photo of the 2 slices of pizza, which IMO should not take 30 min to reheat.I will not return here, which is a shame, because the local owner has worked hard to build her business and I’ve been a longtime customer. However, repeated long delays (not first time), poor communication from wait staff, and not taking responsibility for their poor customer service has made coming here a bad experience I do not want to repeat.

The food is always delicious. Never a complaint there. The food has gotten much more expensive in the past year- a salad up 4.50 cents. And then if you use a card there is a fee which who doesn’t these days. The wait times for food to go are always long. Overall, I love the food so I will keep coming back. However, due to the cost and inconvenience of time, I won’t be back as often. Meals are usually in the 15-20 range and if you get a delicious cupcake or cake on display, you’re paying almost $50 for lunch’s

The food is beautiful and delicious. Came out fast. I was being helped by someone who was obviously new and training and was being treated nicely by the other staff. This says a lot to me about this company. Everyone starts somewhere. 10/10 experience. I’ll be coming back!

Great lunch spot. The mac n cheese was next level delicious, not to mention a very generous portion. Staff was lovely. Looking forward to my next visit.Dietary restrictions: I have many dietary restrictions and was easily able to find several options that worked for me.

Today was my first time going in person. I’ve only had takeout previously. The patio is a great setting. My coworker and I each had salads. She had the bang bang and I had the harvest chicken salad which was delicious. Our waitress was attentive and patient as we decided what we wanted. We had a great meal. I will be back again! Great specials as well. Prices were reasonable.

Cute little place for lunch. Limited menu, fantastic cupcake options. That said, food is S-L-O-W to come out. Even if the restaurant is empty, it's generally over 30 minutes before the food is ready. If it wasn't ridiculously good, I wouldn't keep going back, but they manage to keep me coming with the high quality delicious food that is well worth waiting for.

Food was good. Service was good. However. They illegally added a credit card surcharge to the bill. Cash discounts are allowed in Massachusetts, but credit card surcharges are not. Be aware before going.

Union Street has a great selection of sandwiches, but I chose the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer and a bowl of corn chowder (the daily special). The shrimp were large and flavorful and could easily work as an entrée for a single diner. The corn chowder was creamy, just the right amount of sweet, and had nice chunks of potatoes. As I was leaving, I decided to get a raspberry vanilla cupcake, too.Everything was delicious, and the staff and service were great.Parking: In addition to street parking, there is also a small lot behind the building.

Staff is always friendly and the food is always great. If you like carrot cake, their carrot cupcakes are amazing. I also love that you can get a bucket of beers and relax on the patio when the weather is nice. Overall just a really nice, laid back place to grab lunch!

The potholes on Union Street demand your attention while driving on Union Street so you might miss this gem in downtown Easthampton. I walked in and was greeted with a smile and welcomed. I had the chicken salad pita and bowl of chowdah. Both were fantastic and we're the appropriate serving size for the price. I finished off my lunch with one of their cookies. Service and food were both excellent and I will be back. Don't miss this oasis in the desert of potholes!

I never leave reviews but I felt compelled to because this place is just that good! Ive gotten food here probably 3 dozen times at this point and I’ve never had a bad meal, ever. Food is consistently delicious. The soups are amazing! The meatloaf sandwich is a must try. I’ve never had any issues with waiting over how long I was told it would take. Thanks for all the amazing food!!

Food was very good, friendly staff, plenty of seating, clean surroundings and prices reasonable. My only issue was, I ordered two sandwiches and the Fried Mozzarella. The Mozzarella was suppose to have 4 pieces, I only received 3. This was a great disappointment, as there were two of us! I definitely will return.

Great food but consistently they tell you it’ll be a certain time period, 30 minutes for example - and then you wait over an hour for your burger and pastrami Reuben. Meanwhile, it’s common to see people sitting outside waiting great lengths of time with no food in front of them. The people who work there are very sweet, but after going through this since their opening a few years ago it’s just getting downright annoying.

We so much want to like this place, but after several visits, we have been consistently disappointed. The sandwich and salad menu reads better than it tastes. Too much going on with the flavors in each dish and out of balance ingredients, for example, way too much bacon in the chop salad. Upset tummy more than once after eating here. And the baked goods look great but always disappoint. Not convinced there is butter in any of the baked goods, and they suffer for it.

This restaurant was recommended to us by friends. We were very impressed by the number of choices for lunch. This is not a burger joint. It has a diverse menu of fresh foods, interesting sandwiches, salads, soups, and popovers.You order at the counter and meals were brought to the table in a timely manner. The service was great.There were 4 of us and we were all very pleased with our meals. The selection of desserts was mind boggling. You won't regret it and you'll want to return again and again.We had the butternut squash soup, cheeseburger soup, popover, a meatloaf sandwich and French fries that were all delicious. Wow this place has gone downhill fast! We ordered take-out, I picked up the food and left a very generous tip. Got back to work and the receipt on the bag was correct but when we opened the bag, we had someone else's food! We called to explain and the girl on the phone didn't understand. Drove back to get the correct food, the woman took the wrong food from me and said "be right back". I stood there for 10 mins being ignored by all 4 girls up front. I finally asked if they had an update and they brought out the food. I mentioned some communication would be nice when you have someone waiting for an order THEY messed up. They literally stared at me with blank faces and said nothing. I said no apology or thank you? Again they completely ignored me. I am so disgusted by how rude all the front end employees were! Not a single smile, NO APOLOGY for their mistake, not a please or thank you. Never ordering here again! Not to mention, on the SECOND round of food, they didn't even put the chipotle aoili on the chipotle burger and it was totally ruined for me.

The service was good but the food was a little lacking. I had a burger that wasn't cooked how I asked so it was a little dry. The bacon on it was overcooked and hard to eat. The fries were good. My husband had breakfast and said it was fine just bland. Although we didn't try them, the cider donuts and cupcakes look really good. I didn't see a price for anything in the cases though so I think that might have been nice to for folks to see.

Gluten free options! Their burgers with gf bun are awesome and I’ve been in a few times now when that craving hits. Each time has been great quality and service. I’ll definitely be back!

We had Buffalo chicken egg rolls, clam chowder, and the chicken BLT. Everything was delicious, including the chipotle ranch that comes with the egg rolls. We were fighting over it haha. We also had the grapefruit mule and bourbon peach smash to drink. Both were great and very strong. You get your money’s worth! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant!! The staff was also polite and efficient!
