I must prefice this by saying: it's my favorite store. So my review may be a tad skewed by my own bias. It's a great little one stop shop. Pricing is average but, you'll find a great sale from time to time. The staff is pleasant, mostly helpful. There's not much else to say. If you're in Easthampton, it's like old faithful. Highly recommend.

I'm not hating on Family Dollar, but it's definitely NOT a dollar store! I get you can't make a profit by selling certain things for a dollar. Even 2 or 3 dollars for some drinks or items would be reasonable. But 9 dollars for a small container of Downey scent beads?! It's 3.50 plus tax for a 3 oz can of off brand silly string. The store inside looks like it could use a hug. Not hating on the store, but don't go in expecting to save money

On Tuesday, my partner and I bought some food at this store. A rude old woman with short hair waited on us and called me the wrong gender. I am a woman, and she called me “HE” instead of SHE. The next day, we complained to the manager but the rude woman swore all she did was use the expression “You Guys” which was not the case at all. She had done this in front of five people too, one of whom rolled his eyes when that woman was rude to me. She had literally hissed it at me too, all the while pretending to be all bubbly and nice both before and after she said that. What a horrible woman! She is rude to all LGBT people too (my partner and I are openly lesbian), so watch out for that rude old lady. She seems on friendly terms with the manager too, which is sad. This store needs to fire that lady... this is the fourth time she has been rude to my partner and I, the second time she was rude to me. Horrible!

Ive been in this store in the daytime and nighttime and I have to say Night shift is definitely the best. The 2 young guys and The new girl at the register are all very nice, friendly, and helpful. The girl at the register is always smiling and asks how your day is going and is just a very nice person. The 2 young guys are extremely helpful and very friendly.

In general the prices here aren't any better than Walmart for many items, and in some cases are even more expensive. It's convenient for me to stop in occasionally to grab something that I don't want to travel farther for, but I would never make a habit of shopping here due to unimpressive prices and an overall unpleasant experience due to disorganization.

I honestly think the young lady who manages the store is very helpful , not to mention professional when I've visited. Not to mention extremely pretty. However, I've noticed now when I go in I get followed around the store ( an not by the management) .It's just some inexperienced, young employees who obviously are still judging people by the cover. Unfortunately theft prevention is necessary in our society more so now a-days but if your doing that and it's part of your job ? LEARN HOW TO DO IT RIGHT AND FAIRLY. Anything less than that is an insult. Peeping around corners looking silly or pretending to help all in a pitiful attempt to speed up you going out the door . Guys it's insulting and some customers don't deserve that BLACK , BROWN OR ANY OTHER COLOR. I think this store could be better if the manager got some REAL HELP.

Beware of the apparently intentionally misleading prices. They make the '2' look just a '1' so that $1.25 item suddenly costs $2.25. When I questioned it and asked for a refund, I was told I'd have to wait for the manager. Both of these practices should be investigated by the state of Massachusetts.

Like every Family Dollar store on the planet, this one is depressing a full of junk.The staff is friendly enough, and the neighborhood tweens seem to like hanging out around here, but I don't see the appeal.My wife and I like to get cheap toys/coloring books for my daughter here. This is the sort of stuff you can slip into a purse, and pull out when you need to keep a kid quiet at a restaurant.I don't know why anyone else would shop at one of these things.

It's ok to go if you are really needing something and dont want to travel out of town. I try to avoid going here. They aren't always fully stocked. Usually have problems with their cash register, cashing you out takes forever. The employees are mostly rude, especially the old manager woman.

The store is constantly disorganized. People that work there are not willing to help. They are just absolutely rude and inconsiderate. They won't make eye contact they make you wait forever and have absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. I've never been treated with so much disrespect and had such a lack of service and just plain rudness from the workers. They act like you were bothering them by having to do their jobs.

It's a great place to grab chips and candy as a kid. Right along the bike path as well so it's really easy to make a quick stop in!

It is what it is, It's Family Dollar. I come here when I have no other choice, but it's always a mess, somehow overpriced, and there's always this older woman who seems like she hates the world... Had to edit to a one. Why do I keep going back. You can't walk in here.

Worst store to work for especially when you have medical conditions and they don't want to accommodate the store manager likes to degrade and humiliate her employees the district manager is no better and the daytime female assistant manager is very rude and snooty
