Really nice place. The bed was comfortable and the rooms and the bathroom were clean. The size is pretty average. The rooms were equipped with a fridge and a microwave. It had an outdoor pool, but unfortunately it was raining when we were staying there. It was a good stay for the price. There are not many restaurants near it though, so plan accordingly. I also don't know if the Motel used to offer breakfast, but they didn't when we visited. There was complementary coffee available in the lobby though.Walkability: You can't really do much walking here, better come with a car or a bike, as there is a cycling path nearby.

This motel is very good, it feels like a little resort actually, with both indoor and outdoor swimming pools and it's right on the ocean. My room was a basic one just a bed fridge, coffee pot and microwave, but it had a separate living area and even a little private patio. Better rooms are actually little independent houses with a kitchen and everything. The staff was really nice, breakfast was just fine.Safety: Very safe and quiet.

We are just leaving after Labor Day weekend, this was my second time staying. We love it here! It’s close to all the beaches Coast Guard, Nauset, Rock Harbor and First Encounter are my favorites. Tracey at the desk is so nice and helpful. She helped from start to end and put us in the perfect room 79 all the way at the end, our pups had to heir own area to run out and play while we grilled and ate at the picnic table. The rooms were renovated after my last visit and looked really nice. It’s well kept and comfortable. We’ll be back next year for sure!Safety: Well lit, and definitely safe, good people around!Walkability: The property has s quiet and safe for walking alone or with your furbabies, it’s right on the bike trail for easy accessibility.Food & drinks: Arnold’s latest s down the street P-town in about 30 minutes away, joeys joint has good tacos, Nauset farms is a good local market and stop and shop is not far either, but he friendly fisherman is not far away to buy fresh seafood to cook yourself.

Two visits within two months. The hotel has seen renovations since we first stayed a few years ago. Each of our recent visits the rooms were clean, beds are a little hard for my liking but they also appear to be new, which is a plus. We travel with our dogs and finding clean and reasonably priced accommodations to include them is sometimes hard. The reservation online included pets but when we checked in I noticed it wasn't checked off. I mentioned it to the gentleman behind the desk and he thanked me for bringing it to his attention, made and adjustment and gave us our key. The location is great and it was very quiet even with other travelers bringing their dogs.

For the last few years, I’ve been staying here and find the staff very helpful and friendly. The location is great and perfect for my morning bike rides on the rail trail. This year I forgot my beach bag at my house and they conveniently had one at the front desk which was a wonderful coincidence. Looking forward to booking a stay next year too!

Got a room through Airbnb. Showed that dogs were allowed. Great! Checking in, I was told they're allowed, but I owe $30 for her. Couldn't cancel the room unless I wanted to lose the entire amount so I HAD to pay the extra money that was NEVER posted on the Airbnb site!! "Buyer" beware!!!Rooms: Room was basic but clean, which is all I cared about!Nearby activities: Beaches nearby as well as plenty of stores, shopping, and places to eat.

Love staying here ! Can’t beat the price for such a great location ! The owner is so nice and accommodating. The rooms are good, there’s a pool and common room, and it’s a pretty short Uber ride to the Beachcomber. We have stayed here many times and we will stay here many more !Nearby activities: Beachcomber

This place is nothing fancy but has all the basics. Major plus is they allow pets and the location is top notch right on the rail trail with all different attractions nearby (food, ice cream, liquor store, bike rentals, restaurants, gift shops all nearby). It’s also really close to the National Seashore and town beaches. Really good experiences here for three years in a row!

The room was clean and quiet, if a little worn around the edges. The room had a fridge and microwave which was great, but no coffeemaker (not a problem for us as we always bring our own, but if you need that morning cup right away, be forewarned). They were flexible about our necessary last minute change to a pet-friendly room. There's easy access to a back path that made for a perfect place to walk the dog. The location is great: 6 minutes from First Encounter Beach on the Bay side, 15 from Coast Guard Beach on the ocean, and ready access to numerous restaurants and other businesses you might need.

I had a very nice stay here, the room was clean, pool is awesome, there is ample parking, the price is good, staff and owners are very friendly and accommodating. WiFi works well and the A/C was a blessing during the heat wave. Big lot and nice areas to walk around. The area is also quiet and safe making a vacation stress and hassle free.

We visited Eastham on a fall weekend and enjoyed our stay at Captains Quarters very much. The room was clean, with modern furnishings, fresh paint and new flooring. All the appliances worked (fridge, lights, tv, hairdryer , the wifi was fast and reliable, plenty of hot water in the clean, updated bathroom and shower. We were grateful to be able to bring our dog, and the rail trail was basically just out our back door made for easy and pleasant walks. Being fall, the mornings and nights were dark, outdoor lighting was plentiful and bright. This is a great spot economically and especially if you are traveling with a pet.

The quietest motel I've ever stayed in. No plumbing or tv noises even though it was full. Room was clean and has been updated fairly recently. Good value and location. I would rate it higher if there was a coffeemaker and a table and chairs. There is a desk and comfortable office chair, but no space to eat or for a second person to sit.

This was a motel that we chose because of its affordable prices. It was in a key location for us, we could access everything within 35 minutes, and we didn't lose an arm and a leg. Great coffee shop next door and attractions nearby. Definitely don't expect a high level establishment, but it was fairly clean, tucked away safely from the road, and had lots of space to run around, ride bikes, picnic, etc. I was impressed by how close the rail trail is, it nearly runs through the parking lot. Rooms could use some updating and fresh paint, but otherwise, I felt they were acceptable. This is definitely a locally owned and operated motel.

I felt safe and secure. Facility maintenance was superb and added to a sense of safety in the space.

No matter the negative reviews, I found this motel to be a gem! I loved the color scheme and bright colors of the decor. It had a warm vibe to it. If you like beige and characterless hotel rooms, then this isn't for you. For me, it was the way the property was laid out. Gorgeous trees and plenty of space to walk around the property without leaving the premises. I was traveling with my two teenage kids so I was able to get some space just by walking out the door and walking around. And I saw younger kids biking around so I feel it his very family friendly. The pool is also gorgeous. It has a black top like floor rather than the slippery aqua plastic liners one sees. The property juts up against the bike path, so this is a bicyclists dream place to lodge. I particularly enjoyed the bbq grill. I cooked a couple of meals on it and it made me feel like I was home and a home cooked or mostly home cooked meal is hard to find when you're staying in a hotel/motel.We had a great time. Definitely book by calling the place directly. He has better prices than any of the booking sites.

While I agree that the property could be spruced up a bit, I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay here again. Location is everything. Everything in our room worked…. It was cool, quiet, and I slept well (I’m someone that usually can’t sleep in hotel rooms). We had our German Shepherd with us, and we were put in the back of a back building. Might seem weird driving back there at first, but the parking lot is practically connected to the Rail Trail. It’s a perfect spot to walk your dog. In fact, after we checked in, I walked straight to Nauset Light Beach, just over two miles away. (After a three hour drive the dog was ready for that kind of walk). The national seashore beaches are some of the only dog friendly beaches on the Cape, and they aren’t easy to access during the day because of the limited parking. That is why this location is ideal.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in August. We enjoyed the trip greatly. The hotel's outer appearance can appear a little bit dated and in need of a paint just but please don't let that turn you away from a great little hotel. The rooms are nice and quiet, while inside I could not hear a bit of noise from the outside. The inside contained a very comfortable bed and over all nice clean room. The staff was extremely helpful! At one point we made the mistake of locking our keys in our room. With a quick show of our driver's license we were given the spare with absolutely no hassle. I fully intend on returning to this hotel in the future and encourage you too as well if you are searching for a nice, clean, affordable spot on the cape!

Very peaceful, clean, well maintained. The room is really cozy, clean, nice furniture that comes handy. Colors are very well established. Nice artwork. Very clean bathroom, smells great. Carpet is soft. BadiBasic I lived here a week and had the best deep sleep ever at a motel. Breakfast is what you wanted, orange juice, milk, coffee, cereal, bagels, toast, quick bite. Grill is available at request. Swimming pool is resoeresp, clean, not crowded, not noisy. Definitely great for families, romantic gateway, bike road is across the motel. The best restaurants at a minute distance. Definitely a come back.

This place needs updating. The people who work there are ver pleasant but the entire grounds and buildings are old and run down. We chose this motel because they accepted pets. Maybe the rooms for travelers with pets are the old ones but they are in need of updating. The carpet is old, dirty looking and thin. The beds are very uncomfortable and the linens are very old and worn. The towels are small and thin. They have signs all around the property asking you to clean up after you pet however they have ONE garbage on the property and it is far from the rooms. I assume that is why there is a lot of dog poop on the grassy areas. Not an excuse not to clean up however they need to provide a place to dispose of it. I have this place 2 stars to be generous. The area is nice and it is quite and peaceful there.

When I got there there were no cups to brush teeth or take my meds . Refrigerator didn’t work at all. There was no do not disturb sign to indicate I didn’t want them in room. Not sure why they went in coz they didn’t clean other than empty an empty trash can. The staff was courteous but hardly ever there. Don’t think I’ll be staying there again
