I have been going to Duxbury Animal Hospital for 3 years and we have had a wonderful experience. All of the doctors and staff are very attentive and pleasant to see and work with. The appointments are always on time. My pup is never fearful to go to the vets and loves them all!!

I’ve been taking my dog to DAH for the last 3 years. I can’t say enough great things about the facility and all of the staff. My dog is extremely anxious in vet/grooming situations and they are beyond patient with him! Appointments are always on time and thorough. Don’t hesitate take your pets here. They truly care about their patients and are great at what they do!

My dogs have always received the best of care at Duxbury Animal Hospital- both of them at separate times have literally dragged me in the door! Animals sense when they are loved and feel safe- and that says it all! I am grateful to have such great veterinarians right in town, and the office staff and technicians are kind and courteous as well.

The healthcare is there, the transparency and comfort is not ideal. I am thankful for the care we received, but I wish we were treated with more compassion.Update edit: thank you, Dawn for for taking the time to validate my feelings and delivering the compassion I needed to feel safe and heard.

First time puppy parent and brought Sage to Duxbury Animal Hospital for her first ever checkup. Scheduling the appointment was a breeze and the phone staff were super friendly. When we arrived the day of her appointment, the front desk staff were really excited to meet us and Sage. We had zero wait time for Sages’s appointment. The technician was really friendly and you could tell that they really cared about animals. Dr. Hebert stopped in the room quick between tasks to say hi to Sage so she knew who he was. When he came back for her exam, he was very thorough and did everything to make Sage feel comfortable and calm. Being a nervous puppy parent, Dr. Hebert took the time to listen to all off my questions and answered them all. At no point did we feel rushed. You could really tell how much he cares for animals. He really made me feel at ease and is really down to earth. The facility is extremely nice and clean. Sage is not going anywhere else for her care. I highly recommend Duxbury Animal Hospital!!

I do not have enough wonderful things to say about this hospital and staff. Sadly, we needed to send our beloved 13 Y/O poodle over the rainbow bridge this year and the care they gave both us and him were nothing short of remarkable. SO, SO compassionate. At 3am this morning, his 14 Y/0 golden doodle sister suffered what we thought was a stroke. Not able to walk, lost bladder control, etc.We were seen as soon as they opened…on a Saturday. They believe it's not a stroke and a form of pup vertigo (vestibular disease). We were sent home with meds, instructions and a harness (that they let us borrow) and again the most compassionate care and hopes that she can work her way through this disease, as some will resolve on their own.Huge thank you to both Dr. Martin and Dr. Shepard for their love, concern and care of our fur babies. Also a shout out to Kimberly for helping us get our big girl out of the car!

**First and foremost, please get pet insurance especially while your pet is healthy and younger. Saving $50-100/month will easily get exhausted should your beloved pet have a health issue that snowballs into more complications. I highly recommend Trupanion.**As a cat mom, my biggest gripe with DAH is the staff has endless photos of dogs on their social media but barely any cats . I find it hard to believe cats are difficult for THIS staff to get pictures of 🙄Even though we are sadly dealing with a shortage of vets, DAH has vets like Dr. Martin who can manage to provide thorough exams after the client (cough cough) runs almost 1/2 hr late. She can provide comprehensive care extending beyond our appointment leaving me reassured all bases were covered. If Dr. Martin can open my cats mouth without annoying her while fondly calling her “Meow Meow”, I doubt she’d have difficulty getting a snap of a feline cutie especially as she’s involved in rescues. Then, there’s Dr. Baker - If he can review test results though I’m not his client, formulate a plan so my Despereaux doesn’t have to wait, text Dr.M to make sure she was agreeable, humbly enter details of my preferred pharmacy while patiently answering the questions I was squeezing in while most likely being the only vet on Saturday, I’m sure he can find even a small beneficial cat meme to post. Also if the vets are too busy, what about the other staff? I know DAH has the type of front desk staff who patiently answer anxious questions/calls (thank you Ana, Claudia and everyone else I missed), kindly & voluntarily clean my carrier(thank you Alia), call in a rx, email me a script, then still go out of her way to call around pharmacies to find out which one has it in stock (Thank you Kim). I get they’re busy providing above and beyond care at fair prices but asking for more or at the very least daily cat pictures 😏on their social media should not be an issue at this hospital…

Absolutely love Duxbury Animal Hospital and can’t imagine taking our pup anywhere else! We adopted a dog last year when we were new to the area, and started coming to Duxbury Animal Hospital based on reviews from neighbors. Dr. Martin and all of the vet techs are so incredible. They love our boy and have given him exceptional care over the last year (he came to us heartworm positive, so needed extra visits.) Dr. Hebert also took great care of him when an emergency situation popped up. The entire team is extremely kind & helpful, and I trust their guidance and expertise completely. They’ve made us feel calm and reassured during every treatment he has needed. Thank you to all of the staff!

I just moved to Plymouth and my neighbor recommended Dr. Shepard at Duxbury Animal Hospital. I took my newly adopted Havapoo name Ella there two days ago and really love the experience. Dr. Shepard and the staff are very warm, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I received useful recommendation for new food to reduce cardiovascular issues, new supplements for dental care, medicine, and general medical/vaccine advice.Ella was shaking quite a bit when she came in. However, after she met Dr. Shepard, who sat on the floor and played with her for a little bit to calm her down, she stopped shaking and was her normal self again. The facility is clean, inviting and beautiful

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Duxbury Animal Hospital. We were customers back when Dr. Hebert moved to town. We now live in another town but still own a home in Duxbury. Duxbury Animal Hospital has been gracious enough to see our pets when in town for a few different emergencies. Now my grown son is living in our house there and we recently took his cat in to see Dr. Baker. From the front desk to paying the bill ~ all the staff there were gracious and attentive as well as professional. Dr. Baker is a wonderful vet! What an amazing animal hospital!

Dr. Hebert and the staff including the front desk and the vet tech Greg were a complete pleasure to deal with. I needed to get my dog a health certificate to travel internationally and everything needed to happen quickly and efficiently, which it did, and I never felt I was being rushed in the process. Everyone treated my dog the way I would have treated her, with love and kindness and a gentle touch, and everyone took the time necessary to answer all my questions. Duxbury Animal Hospital is a exceptional clinic. All veterinary offices could take a page from their book. Thank you!

I cannot say enough about Duxbury Animal Hospital, Dr. Baker and Molly. My boyfriend and I brought our cat Luna in on an emergency basis. Although the prognosis was not good Dr. Baker laid out all of our options and gave us the information we needed to make the right decision for our girl. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge with dignity, respect and comfort. If you are looking for a reliable and compassionate veterinary office you should consider Duxbury Animal Hospital.

Drs. Hebert and Bucholtz, and all the vet techs, are great, as is having a vet so close to home. Very attentive care, and they always follow up the next day with results or to see how our pets are doing. Nice touch. Our dog, a 4 year old Wheaten terrier loves to go there; our 15 year old cat is less thrilled, but c'mon, cats don't get excited about much.

Friendly and caring staff and doctors, we always feel that our beloved feline family is in the best of hands whether it is with our young rescue cats which we currently have or with end of life trauma. We wouldn't consider going anywhere else!

We Love Duxbury Animal Hospital! It had been a struggle finding a good get that we felt prioritized service and our dog’s well being. Duxbury Animal Hospital gives great care to our dog and has perfect their appointments so it’s never a stressful process. They also always find time to get our dog in for any unexpected issues that pop up from time to time. Overall could not be happier with their service and love for animals!

This was an emergency visit with a clients dog that we thought had heat stroke. The techs met me at the door and carried the dog straight through to the examination room. I was kept up to date with what was happening, tests that were being done, and how the dog was doing. The dr came out with the tests results and it was determined that it was not heat stroke but anaphylactic shock caused by a bee sting. I was extremely pleased with the level of care and concern.

Dr. Hebert is an excellent doctor. He does a wonderful job of recommending what is, in his opinion, the best care for your animal. Drs. Shepard and Martin along with the staff are very friendly and helpful. We are pleased to have our dog being cared for by the folks at Duxbury Animal Hospital.

Didn't bring an animal here but the Vetinarian and his staff are very active and generous to the community. When I lived in Duxbury, Ben Dow was the vet there. It has expanded greatly since then.

Dr. Martin, Amanda and the rest of the staff were so wonderful with our new 10 week-old puppy! They took the time to thoroughly examine her and answer all of our questions. They always answer the phone immediately and send records via email so quickly! They have all really impressed us so far!

My family has been taking our pets to Duxbury Animal Hospital for many years, and we have always been pleased with our experiences. The staff is extremely kind and all seem to genuinely love animals. We have a dog who is very nervous and can be fear aggressive, and they are always so patient and gentle with him. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!

Took our 15 y.o. cat Cleo there for an emergency visit. Needed an ultrasound to find out what was going on. Dr. Herbert was patient, kind, and the entire staff was caring. We will continue the remainder of Cleo's care with them. Highly recommended.

I am more than happy to offer a recommendation for The Duxbury Animal Hospital. I have been bringing dogs there for many years. Formerly with Dr. Bruce Berridge and now with Dr. Hebert. I find the staff to be friendly, kind toward the animals, and professional. Yesterday I brought my new Cavalier King Charles puppy, "Jelly Bean," for her first appointment since arriving from the breeder. I loved talking with Dr. Jessica Shepherd. She is great !!!! And the technicians are always friendly and kind. Although it must be a strain for the staff to have to talk to the clients/patients in the parking lot, it is fine. Looking forward to the wonderful new offices and clinic. Thanks for always being there for our pets !!!!! Ruth Gardner Lamere

I recently brought our cat, Alf, to Duxbury Animal Hospital. They came highly recommended by a family acquaintance. We've brought family pets (cats & dogs) to other local vets over the years but I'm glad we went to Duxbury Animal Hospital. The friendly, professional staff never fails to impress. The experience was so positive that I whenever I need a vet they're the only place I'd consider. I highly recommend them.

Dr. Baker and Andrea came to my daughter’s home to care for her 18 year old cat, Bibbit.Dr. Baker explained Bibbit’s condition and offered options with great compassion.Andrea spoke to Bibbit and handled her very gently and talked to her in loving whispers. We did lose Bibbit that afternoon but I cannot adequately describe how wonderful every moment was thanks to Andrea and Dr. Baker. We could not have had a better goodbye and we will always be grateful.

Just want to put in a plug for a great veterinary hospital. Have been taking my (now 15 yr.old)dog,Bella, to this practice for many years.Over time she has been cared for by a succession of veterinarians, most recently byDr. Hebert. As a (now retired )family physician,I feel that I have retained some insight into quality medical care. Can only assure you thatDuxbury Animal Hospital offers pets just that;Quality medical care. From the experienced veterinary physicians to the exam room assistants and the front desk staff, this is a first rate operation. Their work during this pandemic can only be described as exceptional. Wait time has been surprisingly short and telephone response most dependable. At the same time, their provision of detailed medical records Is impressive.Sorry to be so long- winded, but hope to convey my esteem for this practice. Feel quite confident that they will continue their good work.Sincerely, John A.McPhail, M.D.
