I can’t say enough good things about Town Dog. Our Bernese Blake absolutely loves it there and quickly warmed up to the staff. It’s comforting every time we drop him off how excited the staff is to see him. We noticed they even have nick names for Blake which makes us happy because it shows how much they love him. Blake is always safe, comfortable, and happy while he is there and runs right in. He also never comes home smelling dirty and is always clean at the end of his stay. When he gets home he sleeps for a long time after exciting weeks playing with his friends at Town Dog. We wouldn’t be able to travel as much as we do without Town Dog!

The staff at Town Dog has always gone “the extra mile” for our family. They are always able to accommodate our boarding and day care needs. Our pup gets excited just pulling in their driveway, knowing what fun is ahead. We are grateful our vet recommended Town Dog, to enrich and socialize our new puppy. He is now 5 years old and Town Dog has been instrumental in his amazing social skills and genuine happiness.

Tundra has been loving the compliments around town, from his most recent visit with Danielle!! He looks amazing and went on a 7.5 mile run without the sound of his nails grinding against the pavement…super happy!!

We love Town Dog! Daphne is always happy to join her friends when she is dropped off in the morning. We have used Daycare, Boarding and Grooming services and have been very satisfied with them all. We also appreciate the great communication, clean facilities and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about the team at Town Dog! Our choclate lab Moose has been going there for almost all of his 6 years and quite literally pulls me into the building when we arrive in the morning to see his "friends". When we travel and board Moose, the comfort of knowing he is being so well taken care of( and probably doesn't miss us at all!) is so appreciated. Grooming services are also top notch and the convenience of being able to schedule a bath at the end of his stay is so appreciated!

We have been bringing our Springer Spaniel to Town Dog for several years. He loves it there. He runs in like they line the floors with chicken nuggets. He is a very happy, well socialized dog, who is now trained for Pet Therapy...I believe we owe a lot of his proper social skills to his time spent at Town Dog. Highly recommend them!

My dog was groomed by Cara and it is the BEST cut she has ever had. Town Dog is immaculate. The staff are so friendly and professional. I love the fact where they walk the dogs is enclosed. I would recommend Town Dog to anyone.

We absolutely love the Town Dog! Our dog Bibingka is always excited to “go to school” whether it be for daycare or boarding. On the days she goes for grooming, she always looks beautiful & fresh! What matters most to our family is that the Town Dog Team truly cares about all the dogs. And Bibingka always walks in and comes home happy.

I love Town Dog, but more importantly, my pup Otis loves Town Dog. Everyone knows his name and they get so excited when I drop him off. It makes me feel so good to know he's in such loving, good hands.

We have been using Town Dog grooming for our 95 lb. Bernedoodle, once a month, going on 5 years now. Their grooming skills and customer service have been exemplary! We highly recommend them and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I have to say I am walking away from my experience at Town Dog completely confused/irritated. My dogs had been attending Town dog for over 6MO. We brought them once per week, plus boarded them there..I really loved this place, so it’s sad that things went south. One of my dogs is a more nervous/shy dog, they knew it and I highlighted it several times during the onboarding process. Still he was cleared for daycare. Over the next 6mo my dogs went frequently to daycare - never an issue. One day, the owner of this place calls me - it was a little over a week since my dogs had last been to Town dog. She proceeded to tell me that they had concerns about one of my dogs behavior/safety at daycare for a while, he was not a good fit. I cannot wrap my head around why, if there was ANY concern about my dogs safety/well-being, they would wait 1 week since they last saw him to contact me, and not tell me right when I picked him up? When I asked the owner why no one said anything all of this time, she said she had no idea. For the cost of this place, I would expect better communication and safety standards to be in place. If your dog is nervous/shy, I would highly advise against town dog.

We have been to many doggie daycares and this by far the best on the North Shore/ Merrimack Valley! We are very particular on how our Ms Nula gets treated and her behavior tells us that she LOVES her Town Dog!The Staff is delightful, knowledgeable and professional. We have experienced both the grooming and daycare.... she always comes home happy and sleepy - which is fabulous! Nula plays hard but also thinks she’s the boss to the dogs ((Nula’s a small puggle))If you haven’t given Town Dog a chance, you are missing out. You will not be disappointed nor will your beloved Dog ♥️

I brought in my 7 month old Yorkipoo, Mario, to see Emily and she did an amazing job! Absolutely exceeded my expectations and listened to all of my concerns. Thank you, Emily! Attached is a before and after photo of Mario.

My dog LOVES it here and the minute we turn the corner he goes nuts and bolts toward the door and doesn't look back..I'm very quickly chopped liver once he gets inside and he's a momma's boy so this says a lot. We live in NYC but my parents live in the area so I have been searching for a daycare while we visit. We have taken him to a few other daycares in the area and nothing compares. First- this place is huge and has a huge outdoor section! I love knowing that he is getting fresh air at daycare and they have kiddie pools in the summer and other fun things outside! Inside it also huge and they have futons they can lay on if tired (my guy is older so gets tired) so it is not just a room. Second- it's cage free which is really really important to us. And Third- they truly love dogs here. The workers know my dog's name the minute we walk in, bend down to greet him and every time I pick him up there are people playing and interacting with the dogs (they have cameras in the lobby so you can peek at what your pup is doing!). They are so knowledgable about dogs and pay attention! My dog was digging in our yard and cut his nose...at daycare a few days later they noticed this (seriously a small cut and cleaned it out!) They are the best. And they post pictures of the day on Instagram and FB! I am a crazy dog person (seriously) and don't trust most with my dog but here I trust them explicitly. But most importantly I can tell (seriously I'm a crazy dog mom) that he really really loves it here! If you don't believe me see the photos they took of his enjoying his day at daycare- his smile says it all!

Fantastic service and great value. Staff is friendly and professional. My girl, Charlie loves visiting her friends at Town Dog. She races up to the door wagging her tail when we get there which tells me they treat her well. I would highly recommend this shop and have done so many times.

Always great service. My puppy looks amazing after a grooming. Emily does a wonderful job. All the dogs I see going in for daycare are so excited to be there. The staff knows each dog by name. I highly recommend.

Our 6 month old, fun loving pup is obsessed with coming to Town Dog! My husband and I work full time, and did not want to leave Toby alone all day, so I did some research and found Town Dog. The facility is very nice and clean and the employees genuinely love and care about the dogs. Whenever Toby is dropped off, he just trots away all excitedly to see his friends. When we pick him up, he is always happy to see us, but does his best to try to stay there.

This is a tough review to write. We had heard that Town Dog was notorious for kicking dogs out who don’t spend enough money there, but decided to ignore their reputation because our dog LOVED to go (pure excitement when she heard the word “daycare”). Lo and behold, after nearly 3 years of no issues, they said our pup seemed “stressed” and “anxious”. We thought this was weird considering she has gone to doggy daycare since she was 6 months old and never showed signs of this alleged behavior - but trusted that they were evaluating her accurately. This started to become a weekly occurrence where they told us to pick up our dog because she was “stressed”. They never sat me or my husband down 1:1 for a parent conversation to discuss why this was happening or what we can do to resolve this. We even suggested having her do the enrichment activities they offer (never heard back about it). Instead, Grace told us that our dog was no longer welcome at Town Dog and that they would refund us. My husband asked if something had happened to our dog while she was there, and all she said was “she’s getting older” (she’s 4 years old). It took all of 10 minutes for them to lock us out of their portal and cancel all of our existing reservations. I’m disappointed to see how poorly they treated us after 3 years of being nothing but loyal and respectful customers. They mention on their website the reason they founded Town Dog was due to a shy and special needs dog that inspired them, yet kicked our dog out when she was allegedly stressed? Overall, just very disappointed in the lack of professionalism and how they handled this situation.

We love Town Dog for both boarding and daycare. The staff is amazing, the communication is great, and the website makes it easy to book.Rosie cannot wait to get out of the car when we get there, and is exhausted when we get home.

Town Dog has gone above and beyond for my dog. They truly care about your dog and want your dog to be as comfortable as possible during the grooming process and after. I will not take my dog to another groomer. Customer service from owner Dorothy has been excellent! If I could give them more stars I would!

I started bringing my pup here (he's still under trial) and I honestly hope my pup stays being a good boy so he can continue going here. Everyone is super nice. I got a report card for how my baby acted during his visit. Their online setup is super easy and payment can be handled online along with bookings. They have grooming & boarding available as well. Everyone is extremely professional and I would highly recommend this business for doggy day care.

Town Dog is one of the best daycare and boarding experiences for our dogs! All three of them love going to play there weekly. And on the occasion we need to board them, we feel very comfortable they are boarded cage free! The staff is very caring and love dogs. I can't say enough about the grooming staff either! The two that are groomed monthly always look gorgeous.

We were looking to try and get our dog into this place for quite some time. After months of watching and checking to see when the new dog registration link would open, we finally were able to get her signed up. The 'stress' and unnecessary effort to sign up a pet dog was like trying to register for preschool or full day kindergarten... a first world problem... but I digress. We figured out that we needed to schedule a phone consult first, followed by a trial session for the dog, and then if your dog passes the trial they could do a full-day-final-trial-session. This intense process seems more on par with what a human might have to do if looking for job rather than a doggie daycare, but, we were on board. We have heard such good things about Town Dog and we knew our dog would probably get in because of how non-aggressive she is towards other dogs and she just likes to play with other dogs. After my 45-minute long phone call... let that sink in... I was told there is a $45 dollar trial fee which covered the phone call session, the first day trial session, and the full day session. OK... still shaking my head and a little confused but if this all works out then I guess I am fine with it?The morning comes for our dog's big day and we get there at 8:15. I was told our dog went in and was fine with a few dogs at first; she smelled them and let them smell her. Then, more dogs came and again she smelled them and they smelled her. A few more dogs were introduced and she was fine as well. Finally, after 7 minutes, there were more dogs introduced and she became very shy and timid and sat down. She did not smell new dogs and her tail was tucked and she waited by the gate to be let out. No aggressive behaviors. Nothing dangerous in terms of safety. Just a little uneasy with a large amount of dogs and sat quietly at the gate wanting to leave. Clearly this was unacceptable.By 8:30 we were told "...she wasn't a good fit for the place. Might be too big for her? Too many dogs?"I still don't know what just happened? I am stunned and thinking this has to be some kind of joke? As I was driving away I thought "I'm getting punked. They will call back and say just kidding! Right?" She was there for less than 20 minutes!?! Give her like an hour to get adjusted? It's a dog for Pete's sake. I mean, I literally watched a lady drop her dog off that had feces still stuck to the dog's butt and they were like "No Problem! Come on in!" Maybe my dog was done smelling other dog's because they were coming in with poop on their butt? My dog has standards so what!?I just paid $45 for a phone call that, to this day, I still can't tell you what they talked about for 45 minutes.. a 15 minute trial session where my dog was not aggressive, told a bunch of times that she was "a love," but maybe she was a little 'emo' when more dogs showed up but even then... she was still quite behaved and not a safety issue. And then we got the classic break-up strategy, "...it's not you.. it's me" excuse. But, feel free to use our grooming features!Alright, a little tongue and cheek but here is the deal. They are clearly very serious about their work and profession. The place is spotless and really well kept. The workers love dogs. There are cameras everywhere and it is a highly selective process. They shouldn't charge people that they deny. If the temperament of a dog is non-aggressive, then I am not sure I agree with their policy on not accepting these dogs. However, I understand it is their business and they can make those decisions.Maybe we are just not taking the rejection well and that is playing into account for this review. But, that is what reviews are for. The picture is our Daisy being reflective about what she can do differently if there is a next time, somewhere else. She is taking it hard...

When I leave my dog at Town Dog, I also leave my worries behind. The staff at all levels is courteous, professional, and attentive. My dog is happy to leave, of course, but always runs back in the door every time she returns. I especially love the vetting they do to ensure incoming pets are compatible, and then the report cards they send home after an overnight stay letting us know how our own pet did. Their grooming services are excellent, as well!

Absolutely the most professional, conscientious and customer (and dog/puppy) focused dog daycare and grooming location around! We could not be more comfortable leaving our puppy in the care of Town Dog. We have complete confidence that our puppy is not only safe, but having fun and that she loves everyone there! Her excitement shows when she is in the car and figures out where we are going! It is such a relief to know how happy she is and that we can relax knowing the staff at Town Dog treats these dogs like family. Thank you to everyone at Town Dog for all you do!!

Nigel LOVES his days here. He literally runs in the front door. When I pick him up, he is tired, but happy. The best kind of puppy.

This was a great experience from start to finish. First there was the opportunity to fill out the online profile of my dog, so they had ALL the info before I even made the appointment (for grooming). The facility is top notch, super friendly staff. I have never taken one of my dogs to the groomer before where the groomer came out to meet me and my dog and discuss her/him, but at Town Dog, Danielle came out and met me and my dog, who was very anxious. Danielle went above and beyond to reduce my dog’s anxiety and discuss what I wanted done. Danielle was thorough and knowledgeable. She did a fantastic job, and I will not hesitate to use Town Dog in the future.
