Veterinarians are certainly capable as we've been taking our 3 dogs here for the last 1.5 years and the staff is nice... but the inflated cost and rationale is absurd. My dog had a laceration on his ear, was bleeding profusely, and the difference to have it cleaned/wrapped vs. cauterization/stitches was >$500. I understand it's more expensive whenever a dog needs to be sedated to treat a wound, but not only is the price unreasonable on a standalone basis, especially when this wasn't an ER trip - it's really the upcharges for the same services provided in either scenario that is infuriating. The cost comparison picture should put this in perspective for any pet owner - but to increase the price for the first 3 items (Office Visit, Nursing and Wound Clip and Cleaning) from one situation to the other is price gouging, but then to also add in the final 3 line items (Hospitalization, Laceration Repair and Surgical Monitoring) on top of those upcharges, just because they can, is not how I do business. I gave them the opportunity to explain and adjust it - the explanation as you may imagine was that this is the cost for this option, period. Needless to say, we left and went to another about 15 minutes further away that we've used in the past - but they're about 30% more affordable. Side note - i despise how Neponset has tried to upsell me at most other visits (i.e. blood work, dental hygiene and medication {they include the most expensive medication they sell when there are cheaper options available - but you have to ask/push}).

Alyssa the vet tech did a fantastic job taking care of my girlfriend’s kitten. She was attentive and walked us through every step of the process, making sure we were aware of costs ahead of time. Every member of the staff treated us with kindness and we will definitely continue to go here!

PLEASE READ AND LOOK CAREFULLY BEFORE BRING YOUR PET HEREI took him to this place a few days ago and I was shocked when I picked him up. My pup was shaking, scared and depressed. He had a wound on his balls which I did not noticed until I got home. Both of his ears were so dirty and one of them was bleeding. I gave them a call to ask about the problem and they said it was normal. The way they did and answered my phone was really irresponsible and careless. They totally did not care what happened to my pup. The groomer was unprofessional as well. She knew it but she hides it from us and pretend like nothing happened. I feel so guilty for leaving my pup here. If you love your pet and want them to be safe just stay away from this place. This place is so awful!

led so bad that I didn’t go near him for awhile, and he’s a fluffy cat so I never noticed his nails, but I went to give him a nail trimming (2 weeks since the grooming), I notice that TWO of his claws are DECLAWED. RIPPED OUT OF HIS PAW. I AM SOBBING WANTING TO PUKE. IT WAS A COMPLIMENTARY ADD ON THAT I SHOULD NOT HAVE INDULGED IN. I HAVE CUT HIS NAILS MYSELF FOR YEARS THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. HE HAS THE FATTEST AND EASIEST NAILS TO CUT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW THIS HAPPENED. I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO CUT THOSE NAILS OF HIS ANYMORE BECAUSE OF THIS DISGUSTING UNPROFESSIONAL ESTABLISHMENT. PLEASE READ THE OTHER REVIEWS AND BEWARE. HIS PAW WAS OBVIOUSLY CLEANED UP TO BE HIDDEN FROM ME. I ASKED FOR A TRIM BUT HIS PAWS WERE NEVER TRIMMED NOW I KNOW WHY. It is my damn fault for trusting such a shady business. I should’ve known. I should’ve trusted the other reviews. I should have took more notice in how sleepy my boy was after the grooming. I was juggling work and school. I am disgusted.

I have to speak for my dog since she has no voice. Chanel a 2.5lb yorkie got dropped off first thing in the morning 7:30 AM. for a grooming appointment. We asked what time would she be ready? the receptionist said it up to the groomer?( In my mind set would be first come first served? ) Hours went by Chanel in a kennel all this time I get a call at 2PM saying they cut my dog! I was told that she was upset my dog is loving and sweet little yorkie ! Upon arriving for her to be picked up. Front desk was a horror telling me that my Chanel was moving around? and she got cut? I then made her aware of all the hours that had gone by! Her response was that I could groom her myself! What type of MadHouse are you running there! My poor dog has trauma and its not like it was her first time there. I know for a Fact that she will no longer be going to your establishment. Also let me add in that my dog was thirsty and hungry as soon we got home she ran to her bowl to eat and drink. Making me fearful of what my dog went through, Super disappointed and the Unprofessional staff. Beware for our Furry friends who don't have a voice to defend themselves.

I took Panda in today for itchy paws. My vet tech was awesome! I called yesterday to schedule an appointment and they were able to fit me in the next day. Has been going here since Panda was a puppy and I’m happy with the care ❤️🐶

This is my first time using the Pet center and I am extremely pleased with my visit today. I recently rescued two kittens and needed a check up for both, a few vaccines and had just general questions. The staff is extremely kind and friendly and the actual Veterinarian himself was amazing. Our vet tech was great and was super helpful and knowledgeable. We have had our kittens for 2 weeks and they handle the cats with care and we’re very gentle. I’m very thankful for this choice!

I have a very nervous/timid 9 month old Golden - and Dr. Laetitia Henry was so good with him - got on the floor and gave him time to get comfortable before examining/administering his shots. The techs have also been great at each visit.

Very poor communication, called regarding my pup that is a patient since he was a puppy. Receptionist do not follow up, don’t communicate with your vet and seem to think that they or the on call vet understands your puppy’s situation better than the vet that has been seeing him regularly. Very frustrating and being told on the phone different advice than the vet at the location, even being recommended options the vet advised against because of my puppy’s unique situation. Seems like all they are concerned about is booking appointments instead of proper follow up and looking at each individual case and previous vets recommendations. This caused my pup to have delayed treatment twice now.

Maybe some of you have had a better grooming experience but this isn’t the place to take your pup that is a doodle mix. I took my pup here based on a friends recommendation for a dog they had years ago. I guess times have changed. The first time the groomer shaved one of his legs and the rest of his coat was uneven. They gave us a complementary groom for the mistake. Now I am thinking I shouldn’t have taken him there. This experience was worst. Shaved under one of his arms and his face is completely different. The groomer specifically told me she has experience with his breed. She wasn’t there when I dropped him off so she didn’t not see the pictures I had. But she gave me her word that she knew what she was doing. I have to look at my dog like this till his hair grows back. Here are some before and after pictures.

We brought our dog in to be examined and have his teeth cleaned due to significant halitosis. His previous vet, also part of the Callanan Group, had closed with almost no notice. We told them he had recently had his physical, blood work and vaccinations. They told us they wanted to sedate him "to check for cancer" and would run just his liver and kidney function tests to see if he was a good candidate for sedation. They ended up running a full panel of bloodwork, charging us around $400. Additionally, after taking him in the back, they told us he "fought" the sedation and couldn't be fully sedated, and that he had stage IV dental disease and would need 20 teeth removed. They ended up charging us approximately $400 for this "sedation" as well. After charging us a little under $800 for his whole visit, we were sent an estimate of $3200-$3700 for the tooth removal and cleaning. Just two months before, we had been told he had stage II dental disease and potentially needed no extractions. We decided to get a second opinion from my partner's childhood veterinarian. We were charged $60 for an initial exam and he just finished having his teeth cleaned. $900 and NO TEETH REMOVED. Dr. Hamilton and this practice prey on vulnerable and desperate patients by charging a premium for potentially unnecessary procedures. Shame on them. Avoid at all costs. Also, Dr. Hamilton is big on TikTok, which we did not know prior to going, which makes us question whether his priorities lie in patient care or content creation.

I used to bring my former Greyhound here for her check up and for a stay in the kennel. Now I have a new pup he certainly was excited when he was brought in for the kennel. He came back clean, thin, and nails trimmed.

"Microaggressions are defined as the everyday, subtle, intentional — and oftentimes unintentional — interactions or behaviors that communicate some sort of bias toward historically marginalized groups." Another words, black people beware. The facility is clean and welcoming. The staff and doctors are helpful and caring. HOWEVER, I've experienced on a couple of occasions when I wasn't given full informational care governing my pets needs and remedies. For example, my dog was diagnosed with having cataracts. I was instructed on helpful ways to deal with the situation has the process would eventually lead to my pets blindness. Some what devastating news but so be it. Fortunately my son (being just 17 years old) looked into the matter which prompted me to find that there's surgery for dogs with cataracts that could prevent blindness! Why wasn't I given this information initially? It's my opinion that people of color (primarily Black people) aren't considered financially viable or stable enough to pursue costly medical procedures. THIS IS NOT always the case. Make sure during your visit, that all cost information (even the costly ones) are presented to you with regards to your pets medical care. Don't allow anyone to assume how much you are willing to pay for your pets needs.

My fiance is a groomer here, and I swear, you can't find anyone more loving and compassionate than her. She stays there because her co workers have that same love and compassion that she hasIf you ever want/need to have your dog or cat groomed, request Jessica!! She's really great and I don't just say that cause she's my fiance, I say it because she's truly a good person!

A small veterinary clinic with lovely, caring staff. I bring my cats and dogs here for care. They do not do grooming or boarding. I'm happy with the care they provide.

I've had a number of pets seen here over the last 20 years and I am always blown away by the care we receive.Today, after 2 years of COVID curbside visits, I was able to go inside again and meet some of the staff face to face. Tech Amanda and Dr Hamilton were AMAZING with my shut in neighbor's two cats and helped me to communicate their health overviews and concerns with ease. They clearly LOVE what they do here and their care of animals is absolutely top notch!

Be warned, all locations & related services will pray on your desperation to save your dying animal. Prices vary on greed, and are not willing to work with your budget. Yes, I'm aware how capitalism works. If you want to live, if you want your pet to live. You need money. They promised to be low cost yet would charge us and drain us dry, had we stayed with them we would never have afforded the surgery by the time they were done. They don't show sympathy at all.

Impossible to get a timely appointment. No urgent care concerns what so ever. I’ve been a loyal customer for more than 14 years with multiple pets. They have really gone down hill! Service your patient list and know when to stop new patients. I’m very disappointed with the current status of this operation. I’m taking my fur baby’s some where more reliable.

We've been bringing our three dogs to Neponset Animal Hospital for years and every time has been a wonderful experience. I feel very comfortable leaving my dogs with them because they always treat us and them with love and kindness. The whole staff is very friendly and welcoming. The groomers here are all excellent. When I pick my dogs up they always look so handsome. I highly recommend the grooming and all the other services here.

Did not like it. I was very unsatisfying with my dog grooming. They do not know how to style hair according to the dog breed. They give all the dogs the same hair cut. I usually take my dog to a real professional groomers. But,they were all booked up. And they are charging the same amount like a professional grooming which is stupid. I would not go there again.

I have been bringing my dog Reba to the Neponset Animal hospital for several months. I rescued her in January and after a month or so I knew that she needed some social and playtime with other dogs. It was the best thing that I could have done for Reba. When I pull down the street she gets up and starts getting excited because she knows where she is going and by the time we pull in to the parking lot her tail is going in circles she’s so excited. Every single person on the staff could not be sweeter and more professional. When I’m waiting for them to come out to get her I see the staff greeting other pets all with the same happy greeting. I am so thankful for the love that they show Reba and she is madly in love with them. She has also had grooming, check ups, dental care and I bordered her as well for a few nights. I have 2 jobs and a crazy schedule and to know that I’m bringing her to a place that she is so happy and well taken care of gives me a great deal of peace. I have been meaning to write a review about the staff at Neponset for a long time. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

I brought my daughter’s cat to be groomed, Mind you this is a vet/ groomer.....The cat went in for a rabies shot and a grooming appointment. After seating in the parking lot for one hour they call us back to pick our cat up because she was in distress......they has shaved her body half way and I needed to pick her up immediately.I was told that we needed to see her regular vet to prescribe sedatives to finish the grooming. Why wouldn’t they be equipped to sedate and groom if necessary? After all they are a veterinarian/ grooming!!!!!!!!!The way they returned our cat is no ok!Not professional, and insulting and they had the nerve to charge us $30.00 for this.......I feel like they should not be allowed to groomThey do not know what they are doing!!!!!I would give them no stars if I could
