The DogHouse is a must experience when on the Cape! This place is insane! Loaded hotdogs, loaded fries and tots, frozé, homemade lemonade, and everything else you can imagine! This place was PACKED and super delicious. They even do breakfast! If you’re ever in the area, stop here for a bite! Great staff, awesome people. Great work, Mike!

The DogHouse has a great selection of quality hotdogs and other foods. We had the Glendon Beach, Split Dog, fish sandwich and the Buff Tots. Everyone loved their dogs. The fish sandwich was great and many places should try and copy the great tartar sauce! Buff Tots were enough to share with everyone and were delicious. Did I mention they also sell beer? If driving on The Cape, be sure to give The DogHouse a visit.

I loved this place!! Super cute. They offer so many hot dogs and also hamburgers and lobster rolls. Dogs are welcome and they will even give you a free hot dog for your pup! They offer beer and an awesome hard lemonade slushy which is what I had. 😊 it is outdoors seating with picnic tables. I would for sure put this place on one of your lunch stops or dinner!

On vacation and drove past the DogHouse almost every day. Finally went on our last night (for take out). Loved it. Dogs, burgers, and loaded tots all delicious. Particularly good value options for the kids (my daughter declared the fish and chips the “best ever”)Highly recommended.

Sitting by the pool and my sweetheart brought Mr 2 hot dogs and onion rings. Outstanding.9 9 23. We had to go back the next day. We went with the burgers. We were pleasantly surprised when they were doubled burger parties. We had them with cheese and topped them with excellent onion rings.Ordered online and was 5 minutes early and our order was waiting for us.I love being in the Dog House.

We sat down at a a table and a girl came right over and asked if we wanted it cleaned and I said sure why not which I thought was topnotch service! I'm not a huge hotdog fan but this place looked good and was close to our hotel so I had to try it. I got the hot dog with the mac and cheese and onion straws on it and omg it was really good! I also got their cold brew which was coconut flavored for the day and that was also really excellent! The seating is all outdoor just a heads up. The bathroom was cute.

As good as always! A must stop while in Dennis Port. New owners a few years ago and they’ve kept up a great tradition. This is a quirky little different spot to grab a quick bite. It’s all outdoor seating or to go orders. Picnic tables with umbrellas are the available seating. There are quite a few but I have seen them all full on days we go by to Glendon Rd. Beach. There is no indoor dining. But isn’t that’s what a great little Cape eatery should be. Love their dogs and the option to have yours “split” while it’s cooked is a great treat. If you’ve never had a “split” dog do yourself a favor and try one. I’m a simple “M&R” guy but they have a bunch of crazy ways to have a hot dog; cheese, chili, pastrami, etc. My dog was grilled just right and delicious. The bun is also grilled and added to the experience. Fries are hand cut and came out hot. They too were excellent. My son had recently visited and told me the Chicken Fingers were good so I got a small order to try them out. They were different but good. Don’t expect large meaty ones like you would find in a sit down restaurant. These are smaller and the best part about them was their dark crispy crunchy coating. While we settled traditional soda from a fountain to drink they’re lots and lots of selections of canned soda and beer to choose. Another little twist that makes The Dog House unique and special.The Mrs tried a grilled chicken sandwich ( she’s not a hot dog lover like me) and she was disappointed. I peaked at it and I could understand her displeasure. The unsatisfactory part was the chicken itself. It wasn’t cooked right. She was expecting a nice char grilled piece like the was the hot dogs are cooked. It wasn’t. There was no char or grill on it at all. It almost seemed like it was microwaved and she said it wasn’t hot like my dog or the French fries.Overall I love this little local spot for so many reasons. The dogs are great, fries are awesome and beverage selection is off the charts. They also cater if you’re in the market for someone to do that for you, with a colorful large truck. I also like that they offer a GF bun. My grandson has Celiac disease and I’m looking forward to next summer to see how he likes it.They also have a nice little souvenir stand incorporated into the spot where the previous owners had their condiments set up. I like to grab a T shirt from all the local places so I got one to finish off the night. Prices are typical for these items, like tee shirts, hats, sweatshirts, etc. You can also purchase these on line. There is also adequate parking available, as on street parking in the area isn’t allowed. There are spots for about 6-8 cars out front but if is full go around back, there is a good sized parking lot.The staff was very friendly and efficient. Even if there’s a line to order it moves pretty well. The owners appear to be on sight which I think adds to the experience. If they are as I believe so then they probably read reviews. If so my only 2 issues were the way my wife’s chicken was cooked and the bathroom being padlocked and not available to customers, thus bringing my review down 1, to 4 stars instead of 5. I’m sure the owners will ask why she didn’t bring the chicken to their attention but she just doesn’t do that unless something is not edible. The chicken was, so she just finished it. Her school of thought is unless she’s cooking it , she doesn’t complain. She only criticizes herself. (she cooks for me and extended family all the time) As a great cook she just can’t understand how a chicken sandwich couldn’t be consistently served cooked right. The place wasn’t exceptionally busy so it just didn’t make sense to her why it would happen. That being said we will definitely be back and make The Dog House part of our summer tradition.

My pawrents have been coming to the Dog House for years but today was the first time they brought me along to pick up some takeout. I was treated like royalty the second I walked in and was immediately offered a “dog dog”. They called my name just a few minutes later and gave me SO many pets and my very own hot dog!! What a great day! My pawrents love the food here, especially the breakfast burritos, coffee, loaded tots and fish tacos and now I can’t wait to go back and see all my new friends!- Teddy the corgi

We stopped here for an early lunch after missing them during the season last year and we're really glad we made it a priority during this vacation. We ordered the Mayflower Beach Dog, the Fourth of July Dog and the Chicken Bacon Ranch Tots to share. It was a bit chilly and had just rained so we decided to take our food just down the street and enjoy it with the view of the beach.I loved my Mayflower Beach Dog! There were a lot of fries on it and they were soft and went perfectly with the snap of the hot dog. The cheese was gooey and added a nice flavor. It didn't even need any condiments on it. My mom ordered the Fourth of July Dog with the bbq sauce on the side. She really liked the fried onions and the hot dog but said next time she would just get a regular hot dog and add some of the toppings they have to it. The dogs have a really nice snap to it and the size is massive. I ended up taking part of mine home and ate the rest the next day; it still tasted really good.The Tots are a massive portion. We saw plenty of pictures beforehand but truly did not understand how huge the portion is. You could easily feed a family of four with that; we have leftovers for days! My mom liked it more than I did; but that's on me since I realized I don't love toppings on my tots. The ranch had great flavor and there was a good amount of chicken to it. Could have possibly used a little less time on the chicken, but that didn't take away at all. I'm very interested in trying the loaded fries on our next visit but will definitely be ordering the Mayflower Beach Dog again!

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to The Doghouse! We loved everything we got to eat and loved how kind the workers were. The place was busy but we still got our food quickly.Dietary restrictions: This restaurant provides gluten free buns for an extra $2. They were very tasty buns!

I came expecting a small shack that sold hot dogs. It's actually pretty neat.They have hot dogs, burgers, fries, chicken. The usual fried food.There's a lot of drinks to choose from, including alcohol.The seating is outdoor, wooden benches with umbrellas. On really hot days any part on the sun will be wicked hot, the shaded will be fine.Dogs appear to be allowedSo yeah it Lowkey slaps

The place looks nice but their burrito tastes oily and has nothing except fried potato and egg inside. Egg is not even scrambled. The only breakfast food we liked was waffle dog. At 10:45 the staff told us we can’t order tacos or lobster roll coz it s not lunch yet.

My family and I have been coming to the Dog House for 7+ years! Has always been our favorite spot. They had the best lobster rolls, linguisa sandwich, and hot dogs. Good lemonade, never disappoints. These past two years there has been a change in ownership, and things just aren’t the same. They cleaned the place up nice, but quality of food has gone WAY down. Hot dog over cooked, bun soggy. Chicken sandwich looks like it shouldn’t even be served to the public. Lobster roll doesn’t taste as fresh. They traded quality for attraction. Overall, I won’t come back here for the lousy meal they are serving. Also, take a look at that chicken.

What a great spot to sit outside, visit with friends, enjoy a beverage and a deliciously unique hot dog! We got a variety of different dogs along with the chicken bacon ranch fries and a couple of beverages. Everything was ready in a flash and it was great to sit with the locals and enjoy the beachy air. Highly recommend for a quick lunch or dinner!

Whole family loves the doghouse - and we take visitors here and they’re always impressed. Dining on the cape can be hectic with waits and prices, but this spot always delivers and they move things along nicely.-Lots of options, and everything is good! Burgers / loaded dogs, fries tots, fresh seafood and lobster rolls, and veggie burgers/dogs!-great service, good atmosphere, order at the counter and hang out.

Good stuff! I love a good hot dog and this one was even more than that! Poutine was pretty good as well. Didn't have the best presentation but this isn't supposed to be pretty!! HahaThey have a large selection of hot sauce too, but BE WARNED, some of these are HOT. :D

We LOVE the dog house! We live here and this is one of our favorites! We were just there on the weekend before the 4th of July. The place was packed but the service was top notch. Handing menus in line so you knew what you wanted when it was your turn to order. Cleaning tables as soon as people left. Had enough happy people working to handle the crowd. They sure know how to run a business!! Thank you Dog House we so enjoy our visits with family and friends and oh yes so happy we can bring our dog!!Kid-friendliness: Kids and parents love the causal atmosphere! Also dog friendly!!

My kind of joint. Shack by the roadside with solid food. We paid $25 for lobster rolls that were loaded with FRESH lobster. Lobster rolls in town at dine in restaurants are listed at $35+. Solid find at $25. The dogs, solid, not Ballpark nonsense. Onion rings, solid. Anyone who travels knows these are the gems you look for. This is definitely one of the gems. It's going to be a good vacation for sure ....

I was surprised at how much seating they had and how fast the service was. Great kid friendly place to stop for lunch. They have a wide assortment of hot dogs with a variety of toppings to suit everyone's taste, with fries to match. Don't forget to get a shake to complete your meal! Oh, they have more than just hot dogs, so check out their menu!

I grew up going to the Dog House. It's always been a favorite. It has been through several ownership changes, but has maintained it's casual cozy atmosphere. Sone menu items have changed but the staples remain. Portions are decent, prices a little high, but items are made well. At the lunch rush 12pm to 2pm it is busy but don't mind the line, it moves along quickly. Best time to go usually is 2pm to 5pm. But anytime it's open it could be busy. It's fast, it's good, yes it's pricey but what tourist driven business is not? It's a nice laid back place in a true Cape Cod setting. Take your kids and family. Wear sunscreen if you're not sitting under the awning in front of the restaurant. Also please read my review of Joey's Pizzeria next door.

Started going to the Dog House again this year after a few year break. Food is fantastic and the service is really good. Everyone I’ve dealt with there has been very friendly. The hidden gem is their breakfast. The breakfast sandwiches are so good! Coffee is from Cape Cod Coffee. Although some of the bakery items are sourced elsewhere, their made on premise scones are absolutely fantastic! Not cakey, with just the right amount of crumble like a true scone should be. Highly recommended you stop in and try the Dog House!
