Given that I shop here nearly everyday, it has to be pretty good. It’s small and so the selection is less than the big grocery stores, but they do a good job with what they have. The real reason to come here is the quality meat and seafood at a fair price. The beef, for its quality, is the best in the area. And the seafood is a very good price for not being previously frozen. The store itself is a little old and could use a refresh, but if you look past that, Crosby’s is a solid local grocery store.

Stopped in for sandwiches. Really nice market... Lots to choose from including beer and wine. Staff was very nice.

Love this place as the people make it. They are the best. No where else can I get the freshest clams, a fresh delicious roast turkey (without the time and hassle of cooking) and the friendliest faces , among other things.

On Tuesday Me and my girlfriend walked all the way down to crosbys to buy dinner only for my card to decline, after walking home & back to grab cash, a employee named Danielle offered to pay for our groceries, made my whole week 👍

Local but somewhat overpriced grocery store. Convenience is a huge plus, but they also have improved in many areas over recent months: nice craft beer selection; decent prices on wines; added vegan/vegetarian food options (Beyond Burgers, etc.) albeit at high prices. Great place to go when you need something quick and are "in-town."

This is my current employer so keep this in mind as you read the review.Crosby's Marketplace could best be summed up as if Whole Foods ran convince stores. They carry a wide selection of everyday staple foods and snacks along with various organic or all natural alternatives/equivalents. Given the location being near the Concord MBTA Commuter Rail station, major highways connecting to Boston, many beloved local small businesses, elderly housing complexes, and large residential neighborhoods it's extremely convenient. That said because it's a smaller store it can't order in large bulk quantities and you're also paying a premium for it's convenience factor, however the extra money, from my experience at this location, tends to go back to the employees in several small but meaningful ways. The produce section is where Crosby's Marketplace falls short. In my opinion the chill and relaxed employee environment has lead to a lack of quality control in produce. It's not uncommon, and even happens in waves, to have a batch of strawberries or something go up that are moldy and in unacceptable condition. In summary; great place to work, it treats employees well. Very convenient location to shop and recommended if you can afford the premium associated with it. Be vigilant when purchasing produce and you'll have few issues if ever shopping here.

Very pleasant cashier. Also great help from a stock person regarding a product I was looking for.Update 11/3/2020:Recently, this store has gone down hill. My guess is the manager is over his head, and doesn't know how to control the organization. The place is run by people with zero customer service qualities.Hopefully, this will change, as it used to be a nice place.

I hadn't been to Crosby's in years, decades really. Went there to just kind look around and get reacquainted. It was the first place I've been able to find Ras El Hanout, which I had been looking for in multiple places (both east and west coast).

This is a nice, but small, supermarket. Their produce and others foods are fresh. Prices are competitive. However, their selection is limited due to their small size.I shop here mainly because it is within normal walking distance. For my main weekly shopping, I tend to drive to a larger market farther away.

This place is an excellent store if in the area highly recommend visiting especially around lunch time they are one of the very few places that I have found still around that has a make your own salad and soup bar their soups are amazing and fresh highly recommend the fish or seafood chowder it is incredible also salad bar is a phenomenal many items from seafood to tacos fresh excellent choices can't say enough on how amazing it is to find a salad bar so very well stocked price a little high per pound but I guess it is comparable to the area that is in and I have no problem paying it for the quality and choices

The only reason I think this grocery store is still open is because they do not have competition in Concord . The selection is lacking and products overpriced. On many occasions I have found outdated items in stock. In the dairy section the milk containers are sometimes dirty and the bread aisle smells like stale bread. customer service ranges from rude to mediocre. While I love the idea of locally owned businesses, In Concord MA they need a higher quality grocery store like Trader Joe’s since the the lack of competition has kept this low quality’s store in business.Concord is a beautiful town and deserves a higher quality grocery store with a good selection at reasonable pricing.

There's something wrong with some of the people that work at Crosby's in Concord. If you get one of the young checkers you will get greeted like you would expect at any normal grocery store ("Hello", "Thank you", etc.). However, if you get one of the old folks, one of the 'lifers', you will not get greeted at all. No "hello", no nothing. They will scarcely even make a point to tell you what your total is. You pay and take your stuff and don't even get a "kiss my @ss" in the process. Once, when I was needing something from the deli at five minutes before closing time, the guy told me that the deli was essentially 'closed'. I told him "Well, your front doors are open. That means YOU are open." He reluctantly took my order and prepped what I needed. Also, their prices are higher than anywhere else. I go there only when I have to for one or two items, or when I'm in a hurry. Their selection is limited. It's hard to find exactly what I want. However, one great thing about the store is this guy that bags groceries. His name if David and he's a "specially needs" guy, I think. He is very friendly and helpful.

Very expensive, of course I commute to the area so I’m not used to these prices. It’s a local grocery chain so it does have its perks with local and fresh items. Never been disappointed with this place but the pricing isn’t great - sometimes it’s cheaper to eat out for lunch rather than buying a quick bite.

I often wonder if this place wants customers. Visited at 8pm last night and was soooo cold!!Asked the cashier what was going on and she to mentioned that they have asked why so cold with no response!!! All employees walk around with thick jackets. Maybe they should offer these jackets to customers while they shop!!!You treat a customer well they will return!!! I am wondering??

Convenient supermarket in a spacious car park. Ideally located for the Concord commuter returning after a day's slogging through Boston. Everything you expect from such a place, and regular small events that remind you that this is part of a community; leave a bag of groceries for someone a little short this month.

So this place is rediculously expensive. We ran in to see if they carried any alternative soy butter to the "main" retailer who has a huge recall. They still had the recalled product on the shelf. I brought it to thier attention and they did remove it.We are market basket shoppers so the prices were a bit of a sticker shock. The soy butter in question was price at 7.49 for a small jar. Wow. My son wanted to buy Entenmann's mini muffins, which are 2.99 at market basket, here they were 4.99. the loaf of bread we got was a normal price and the baby food was only slightly inflated. The store is showing its age, the once nice wood enclosed register belts are worn and need sanding and staining, they could use new flooring.

Nice supermarket, good choice of beer and wine in addition to typical grocery, good service. Not the cheapest but reasonable.

groceries are soooo overpriced, people only go here because it’s the only grocery store in town. Horribly managed, there only seems to be one cashier working at a time I had to wait forever, cashiers were lovely but when i spoke to management they were incredibly rude and condescending. I’d recommend concord market- it’s equally overpriced but at least it’s organic and not just mediocre lol

Considering its size, Crosby's has a comprehensive selection of products. I nearly always find what I need. Along with fair prices and attentive employees, Crosby's is always my first choice.

Well stocked, clean store with friendly and helpful staff. You don’t feel lost or in a warehouse like you do in one of the big chain super-stores.

Crosby's is a bit more expensive than others, but they're such good town citizens that I buy everything I can there. They contribute to every local charity, they hire development mentally disabled local people, and they always have the things I need when a snowstorm hits. Their fresh veggies leave a lot to be desired, but I go to Idylwilde or verrill for those.

This place is twice as expensive as larger grocery stores, and the cashiers are always grumpy and silent. I usually don't come here unless I just need one item and don't mind donating a few bucks to a local store.

Crosby’s is doing an excellent job of enabling COVID-19 safety of staff and shoppers, from gloves, wipes and shields to distance markers. All staff wear masks. Shutters, please wear yours too.

A little high in price, not a great selection. Good for the quick runs if you need something last minute(if they have it), for full blown shopping I would go somewhere else.

From the outside it looks like a small store. But it's bigger on the inside! They carry so many brands, and quite a few hard to find items
