Man this place suck….We spent $80 for a mini saggy lobster roll and a mini saggy fish “crispy” sandwich and all the canned magical salads which cost less than half dollars to make. Also they sit on all of their chips bags before they give it to you… so yeah check out my pictures to see this magical experience of Martha’s dark side.

Follow the locals and you, too, can have a fresh and tasty meal with views like this!Place your order at the window out front with the friendly, helpful staff. Then head around back to find a table with a wonderful view of the Menemsha Basin. They also do an awesome business with their soft serve ice cream.

Seasonal and super cute spot down on the water for chowder, lobster rolls, ice cream and more. Open 11-3 daily in season. Staff were super friendly and service was pretty quick even though the line was 10-15 minutes to wait and order. No matter though given the views all around! The lobster roll was perfection with just the right touch of mayo.

Worth trying if you are not a seafood lover, has plenty of good options (chicken, hotdog, burgers,..etc) … we tried the cheese burger and we loved it (almost 10 dollars each), u can add fries but with extra charge. We got Ice-cream with hot chocolate fudge and it was delicious. There is an indoor seating area (not really big) but the view is amazing. Its mainly take-out. Worth trying. 6 mins walking from the port.Parking: Mainly street parking, however there is side resturant parking but usually busy.

Had an amazing day in Menemsha. The beach is worth the drive and hike to. I def recommend spending the day here!!! A must see while on island! ❤️

Tiny sandwiches for 15 dollars. I meant less than 3oz filling on a smaller than grocery store size hotdog roll. The view in the back room is literally someone’s bay backyard. You have plenty of those in, say like Hingham… and the water isn’t clean or far viewing. They charge this price because there’s no other place for you to eat. Super lazy and sleazy.

The Menemsha Galley is exactly what you would expect from a walk up eatery in a small fishing village. Beautiful views from the back porch (try to sit on the benches to the left), and food done just right. If you're looking for gourmet, head to Edgartown to be charged more. If what you want is a quick lunch that's tasty, with fishing village atmosphere and well priced (for MV), this is your spot!

They’re really great about my gluten allergy and they change their gloves and clean the machine and get fresh forks that don’t have gluten which I hadn’t thought of. The ice cream is good and the view is spectacular. We used to sit on the rocks growing up so this is a long time place to get ice cream.

Really nice view of the Sunset, and the dock down the road for the kids to ride bikes was cool. I may give them a second chance if I'm back in the area. Crazy long lines and overcooked food. The fries were the best part. Maybe I just was unlucky but the chicken sandwich didn't taste so good and was cooked too long. I guess better overcooked than under 🤷🏿♂️. Great views though and the staff was helpful.

I’ve been coming to The Galley since the 1980s… this year, after spending about $50 on ice cream, we asked them for a small cup of water for my 3 year old. They insisted that we’d have to pay 27 cents for it.I was more confused than angry but that’s just an abysmal business practice.

Simply the best fried fish sandwich I have ever had. I hear that the crabcakes are awesome too.

A tradition dating back decades. Simple yet good food that you order from the window. You can eat out on their back deck or take it with you to the beach. Chowder, fish sandwiches, lobster roll, cheese burgers all great. Ice cream is good too. Ice cream frappes are excellent. Scenic back porch to watch boats and sealife. Limited parking. Watch for celebrities in line behind you.Parking: Limited

Good spot, everything is simple but good. Swordfish sandwich is highly recommended. Clam chowder and lobster rolls also very good.

After last year good food/service we were really disappointed with this year's experience. Granted many people come by around sunset time, but if you can't "deliver" on time then don't provide such narrow time window. Also, after we grabbed the bag with food in a hurry (several families) - it was noticed that some utensils were missing, napkins were missing also some salad dressings. Quality of food itself was average. As a business you should strive for excellent quality and service, even if you know people are in a hurry to see the sun setting. Cause people have confidence in sun rising the next day, but such confidence grows weaker for each business that stops caring about customer experience.

I was told this was one of the top 5 "must dos" on the island...Lobster rolls and ice cream. It was okay, but nothing special. The ice cream is just soft serve and the food was very expensive. Maybe after a day at the beach or visiting the Gay Head light and hunger sets in, otherwise I wouldn't make the trip out just for that.

I used to go to this place all the time when I lived on island. The burgers are just awesome, as well as the fries and shakes. The lobster roll isn’t too bad. The fish sandwich is a must! The price for the lobster roll is in-line with all the others around on the island (meaning a tad overpriced), but man, we used to love to go and sit on the back porch, and watch the boats coming into the harbor, as well as stare in fascination at what appears to be a little house half over land, half over water, on the left, as seen from the back deck- that looks to be simply filled with junk and maybe some antiques. Looks abandoned! I always wanted to buy it and clean it up, so I could live there! Just an FYI, Grace Church in Vineyard Haven is the place to get your lobster rolls, on Friday evenings!

We waited in line for about an hour. I got a cheeseburger that had a very thin patty and it was still undercooked. My husbands swordfish sandwich was "fine."We also waited in a separate line for ice cream. My husband ordered a cherry dipped cone and I got chocolate dipped. He was not thrilled with the cherry and while the chocolate tasted good, it never did harden. We agreed any fast food burger and ice cream would have been better. Not worth the wait.

Overrated. Lobster rolls were not that good. Steamers were over cooked and had a lot of grains and sand. They gave us only a small container of juice to soak the steamers, but if course not enough at all to wash of the sand. Stuffed clams and oysters were mediocre. The only thing good was the cherry stones on the half shell.

Delicious, casually charming window-service food and ice cream. The kind of local business humans are thrilled to support.

I love the Galley! I've never been there for lunch or any meal but have enjoyed their ice cream ever since I've been coming to the Vineyard. It's a popular spot among our family and our friends.

Adorable little harbor side snack bar. Great chowder, good chicken fingers, and the porch dining view is a delight.

Foods good. Not as great lobster or seafood as Larsen’s, but much more variety for non seafood lovers. Incredible chocolate dipped ice cream though! Come for a summer treat

Watery clam chowder. Fried cod fish sandwich on an crushed bun, slapped together with almost no tartar sauce. Not sure what the big deal is or why all the 5 star ratings. The view definitely gets a 5.
