Just went for a breakfast sandwich and muffins and coffee. I was happy that they had so much gluten-free muffins and scones but they are a bit oversweetened. The coffee is good and the vegetarian breakfast sandwich was very very good.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free offerings. Oat milk for coffee

Amazing place in the Hilltowns. Everything we tried has been stellar. Fresh made pastries, sourdough bread and yummy pizza! Try the eggplant sandwich, it has eggplant, mozzarella, onions and peppers with pesto on house made grilled sourdough bread! Perfection! And to top it off the folks that run it and staff are wonderful and friendly. Definitely worth a scenic drive.

I broke keto for a loaf of their bread. So, if that doesn’t tell you how amazing their carbs are, I don’t know what will!But, all jokes aside, this place is my favorite pit stop after going for a hike in the Hilltowns. The bread is THE BEST. The sandwiches are tasty. The staff is friendly! It’s such a gem.I will gladly break keto and drive an hour just to go here!

Wonderful welcoming staff, a community focused atmosphere and the best meals and baked goods. You can't go wrong here. Get a sourdough pizza, or a heavy Ruben, and grab some gluten free desserts for that special someone.Note that pizza starts later on some days, so always check their schedule.Give them your support, they bring culinary excellence into the hill towns.Vegetarian options: There are often several baked goods that are vegan, and delicious. The pizza topping options make for great vegetarian choices!Dietary restrictions: They do have gluten free options for baked goods.Parking: Park in a cozy dirt and stone lot in front or to the sides of the store.Wheelchair accessibility: There are accessible entrances and room to maneuver inside.

This café (more of a café than a store) is a blessing for the folks in the hilltowns, and anyone else who stops by. The sandwiches are terrific and packed with meat. I have not had a better reuben than the one they serve here, and their muffaletta challenges the ones I’ve enjoyed in New Orleans. Pizza is similarly first rate. Delicious cheesecake and other baked goods — including gluten-free, if that’s your jam. The baklava is simply stunning. All the employees are friendly and service-oriented. So glad I live nearby!

Wow…just absolutely wow!!! I got the sausage egg n cheese on whatever that awesome bread was! Got several muffins, lemon type bread, ginger cookies. Every single item I bought was sooooo good. I envy the locals here! Definitely take a detour to this place! Well worth whatever I spent there! Lol I don’t pay attention to prices.

Just attended a wedding Rehearsal Brunch at Chesterfield General Store. Would highly recommend! Very accommodating and caters to all the guest needs. The food is delicious! Sourdough rolls alone are worth it to make the trip out.I hope to see the General Store make more of their catering business.

The pizza is INCREDIBLE. Perfectly chewy crust, super fresh ingredients—my husband ordered olives on ours and I assumed they’d be canned black olives like everywhere else. I was seriously delighted when we opened the box to find whole kalamatas, lots of fresh basil, and gooey mozzarella. Better than most of the best places in Boston. There’s a nice selection of local craft beer in the cooler, lots of snacks for sale, and their baked goods and breads are delicious. The entire team is just so kind and generous. Such a gem. Order a pizza and never look back!

First time visit today with my fiancée; exactly what we were looking for before visiting the Gorge on a cold, snowy day.Perfect atmosphere, extremely friendly and funny people, and fresh, scratch-made flavors. Well worth the beautiful drive from Amherst for a proper brick oven pie and some hearty soup with fresh bread. Coffee was noticeably superior to other PV spots as well.Will be back many times, especially looking forward to warmer weather to peruse what seems like a robust offering of local produce. Highly recommend.

Stopped off in this store on our way to Northampton. What a pleasant surprise! Super cute inside with a good selection of sweets, fresh bread, and a made to order menu. Wife and I had lunch, bought wine, homemade bread, and biscottis. Staff was so friendly and attentive and Hazel was a delight! I would give them six stars if I could. Best of luck guys…

Tuna Melt was big enough for 3. Quality ingredients. Fresh greens, delicious tomato, sharp cheddar, fresh chewwie sour dough. Prepared and proportioned the same way I would have made it for myself. Chips and a big pickle on the side. Nice to go packaging.

I just moved to chesterfield and tried this place. the pizza is unreal. possibly the best I've ever had. even if you are out of town this place is 100% worth the visit :) also they have vegan oatmeal cookie creme pies which is just the cherry on top for my vegan partner.edit: after making my way through almost their entire menu, and other restaurants in the area. BEST reuben I've ever had. mufaletta, eggplant sandwich, and build your own turkey is great as well. everything is on their homemade sourdough! QUALITY ingredients, amazing staff, almost everything is baked in house- you're not getting a packaged re-heated croissant here. for breakfast I love their egg breakfast sandwiches on the homemade bialys, and for dessert also a huge fan of the macarons, the croissant cinnamon roll, I could go on and on. you can not go wrong. truly best place in the hilltowns

Attended a celebratory wedding dinner last night that was catered by the Chesterfield General Store and Cafe and WOW!. Everyone kept commenting on the food; it was delicious! Personal favorites were the Swedish meatballs and Mediterranean platter which is both a gorgeous display and also incredibly tasty.

My girlfriend, brother and I went up to the store this weekend. The staff was super friendly and the pizza was delicious with a variety of cool custom toppings (we had chorizo and rosemary potatoes)! The cafe style vibe is very homey and welcoming! Will be revisiting!!

The muffaletta was amazing, everything else that I purchased which was for other people they raved about. Highly recommended! It’s worth just a drive out into the hills in order to get food that’s good. Very nice people. I’m going to make it a day off destination as often as I can even though that is not very often.

Delicious food and thoughtful recipes. We love all the food but have to RAVE about the pizza, sandwiches and especially the whoopie pies!!! It's also super convenient to be able to pickup essentials there instead of driving 30 min into town. Thank you so much for being available in the hilltowns.
