I had been looking forward to coming here for quite some time and finally was able to stop in on a Friday afternoon. The market / cafe atmosphere is beautiful, well lit, clean and generally very nice. The employees were friendly and prompt, and the espresso was quite good.LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE FOODThe menu is creative with just the right size of options, sometimes it can be kind of kitschy to open a cafe that serves a very specific regional dishes so far from that region.. but this really works. There seems to be a nice blend of locally sourced ingredients as well as the from afar staples that make New Orleans style cooking unique. Try the Buffalo shrimp po boy and do yourself a favor and get the whole size!

what an unexpected place, Nola food in the berkshires. staff is very good, an overall warm and welcoming mood. extremely well curated selection of wine and various goods. some very reasonably priced options on the menu, a cup of gumbo is delicious and filling. worth saving up for the fancier plates too. that pulled pork eggs Benedict blew my mind. A warning for fellow socially anxious, it is very busy on the weekend and you might have to struggle for a seat. heaven at slower times.

In my sojourn to Wells Provision, the culinary delights and ambrosial libations proved splendid, offering a repast that left one thoroughly gratified. Regrettably, the establishment currently rests behind closed doors due to black mold. Despite this temporary setback, I eagerly anticipate the day when Wells Provision reopens, hoping for a swift resolution to this matter. The allure of its exceptional fare and libations beckons, promising a return to its enticing embrace.

We very much enjoyed our breakfast and dining experience at Wells Provisions! The restaurant was welcoming and had a cozy feeling. The decor was beautiful and the setting made it so you could easily interact with others. You could tell that this restaurant is a well liked establishment within the community by the interactions between staff and customers. Now getting to the food! My breakfast sandwich was hot and flavorful. The lavender honey lemonade was sweet and refreshing. My husband had the gumbo which he thoroughly enjoyed. Also, the pastries looked delicious which I’ll need to try next time. They also had a nice gift table and good variety of beer, liquor and wine for sale. There are more items that I’m definitely leaving out, but there was a pretty impressive stock of unique finds in their shop.Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back when we are in the area again!

This place is a MUST GO TO for anyone in Western MA! Have you ever had the experience of going to an unknown restaurant with no idea of what to expect and then being blown away? That happened to me today at Wells Provisions. There is nothing like it around! The shrimp and grits, chicken Adobe and poutine had the best flavors I have tasted in a long time. And the market - I had to get 3 bottles of their wines and was tempted by many other unusual items, which I’ll save for my next (many) trips. It’s only breakfast and lunch now, but hopefully dinner in near future. And you can’t beat the ice cream sundaes for dessert☺️

The best food, atmosphere, and team I have found in all of Western Massachusetts! Such a great destination for a made-from-scratch, locally-sourced, truly delicious meal that the whole family will love. A must-try if you are anywhere in the region!

Fresh. Fresh. Fresh. First of all, Wesley is wonderful, and also first of all, the food is absolutely outstanding. The coffee is the best I’ve had in the area, and each dish hits with savory taste and bright flavors… if an item is on the menu, it’s because it made her cut. Oh, by the way, she and her husband are established New Orleans culinary brass.Go. Now.

Wells Provisions is incredible. A gem of a spot located in a sleepy little mountain town. It’s a must stop kind of place. The coffee is fantastic. I had a Bananas Foster latte that I will definitely go back for. It was perfect, amazing flavor and not too sweet. Another amazing thing about Wells is it’s connection to New Orleans. The have muffuletta, coq au vin, shrimp and grits, and the gumbo is to die for. They also have NOLA beer, wine and other products from LA. You can even drink water out of Mardi Gras cups! You gotta stop by, you are going to love it!

Drove up here on a snowy day, and I couldn’t believe how cozy and adorably christmas-ey it was. I got an eggnog latte, and was excited to find out that they make all their own flavor shots in-house! I will definitely be back to try the food soon.

Best breakfast and lunch spot in the area! Plenty of seating and food options, great espresso drinks, and friendly service. Loved the details to every part of this shop- from the custom wooden bench by the front table to penny candy and retail table. Must-stop if ever in the area.

Love this place. Great coffee, fun atmosphere, helpful staff. My husband is impressed by the beer selection, and he is super picky about that kind of stuff. And as someone who used to live in New Orleans, it’s so cool having access to yummy NOLA food up here. Definitely check it out if you’re nearby.

We drove from South Lee, MA in the Berkshires to get a taste of New Orleans. Gorgeous drive and lunch was amazing! I had a Shrimp Po Boy which was super authentic and my husband had the Gumbo Ya Ya (exquisite). The space is comfortable and charming, the staff warm and friendly. To top it off we shared a Cider Caramel Ice Cream Sandwich!!! 😀. Check this place out wherever you live…a destination well worth it! We grabbed some frozen Gumbo to take home too.

We ate here on the recommendation of local residents and were extremely happy that we did. Adorable market with friendly staff. We tried several items because we could not limit ourselves. The gumbo was some of the best I have ever had. That is a significant compliment as we lived in New Orleans and still visit there frequently. The shrimp po-boy was awesome - I have extremely high standards for the taste & texture of what I consider to be good shrimp. Yes, you might pay less somewhere else, but you are likely to get tasteless rubbery, or even worse - mushy shrimp. This sandwich was worth every penny paid for delicious lovingly prepared shrimp. And then that collard melt 😯. I love greens of any kind, but I was not sure how that would translate to a sandwich. It was delicious in a slightly addictive way – the perfect combination of tastes and textures. Follow up with a perfectly made coffee & you have got it all!I was also really impressed with the selection of craft beers, unusual wines, and local products. Community is especially important to us, and we love the way Wells Provisions is supporting their community.I wish every community had a business like!

This place rocks! The food alone is enough of a reason to come. But there is a phenomenal wine section too! And prepared food!!The food is well made, well considered, and delicious. The wine selection is so well thought out and very well priced. I don’t think I’ve seen a bottle priced over $20, and they are all very good wines. The owner/buyer knows her stuff. But I think what really makes this place is the store within the store. There is a freezer full of local meats, chillers full of local cheeses and in house prepared food. And beer! One could easily come for breakfast, buy lunch to take home, and get enough to prepare dinner too.I’m in love with this place.

One of my favorite places for breakfast or lunch or coffee. Its an amazing store and the staff are great. Everything we order is brilliantly cooked and flavorful, and the passion they have in their work really shows through. It can be crazy busy on the weekends, especially when theres skiing to be done nearby, but totally worth the wait

i want to preface this review by saying that i have NEVER written a review in my life, just felt that this was this necessary. i am beyond ecstatic with the food, drink and overall atmosphere of this beautiful place. not only did the pancakes create a life-changing experience for my taste buds, my partner (who is a coffee connoisseur) made it very clear that he had just consumed the best latte of his life. i am not exaggerating when i say, i would spend my entire life’s savings for a single, silver dollar, petite pancake. the staff were beyond lovely and i will be dreaming about my next visit tonight.

I usually don't like giving five stars, but I'm giving this place five stars.I got the gumbo, I was to totally surprised to see gumbo in these neck of the woods, I had to add a little bit of salt but my god, it was awesome. And what was even more awesome, was the fried meatloaf sandwich. It was a special, that was simply outstanding. Never had anything like it. It didn't taste like it was too fried either, it was just the perfect amount of wholesome goodness. Or, unwholesome goodness. They have great wonderful bottled old school sodas and drinks. Extremely charming staff, and a cute environment in the cafe to boot. They even had chicken adobo on the menu which is a Filipino dish, which is part of my nationality. Need to try this the next time, this is really surprising to see.I recommend this place.

Unbelievable....absolutely delicious. Stopped in on a whim for caffeine expecting typical road side coffee and the coffee was above and beyond. I had a latte and it was smooth and very tasty. My husband and I ordered sandwiches which were out of this world. Try the cheese sandwich with collared greens (I forget the name of it). Wow!!! Melts in your mouth and full of flavor. They had tons of food to go, candies, snacks, drinks, you name it. All top quality. Excellent service too. Cannot wait to return!

Dropped in for lunch while taking a break from bike park, had a great Cod Ruben sandwich and my son had some pancakes. Food was good and since options are limited in Charlemont we went back for dinner. "Seafood night", very nice quality fish and food, even better than lunch, excellent. Returned Sunday night for "Fry night" and man, Creole Poutine (fries/cheese curd/gumbo) was just a home run, so delicious. My son had a burger and it was also excellent. Wish I had tried more cajun style dishes because the gumbo on the poutine was so fantastic.

The food was delicious, but the prices are extremely high for portion size. My partner had a lone chicken sandwich on a typical size brioche bun that was $14. I had a cold sandwich of the similar size for $9. The atmosphere is lovely though.
