Friendly service and good food with an extensive menu that includes far more than pizza. Good selection of beer and wine and nice views from a comfortable outdoor deck in back, and all at reasonable prices. The Berkshire Pizza was particularly tasty! Definitely worth a stop if you’re in (or near) town.

Berkshire Pizzaria located on RT 2 on the very scenic and breathtaking Mohawk Trail. The place is like a gem. The interior is a very Victorian and very calming museum like feeling with very pretty chandeliers and an awesome very old map of Manhattan covers one of the walls. The owner is a very attentive and attractive and well spoken lady called Gabby. Unlike other pizza shops that are very unwelcoming and rude, Gabby was very friendly and answered all my questions by heart. I ordered a small 14” meat lover pizza and small wings. I don’t care about the price since spending $20 or $30 for a meal these days is not uncommon. The food tasted great and looked very appetizing and very nicely packed. BTW Gabby uses a real store-made pizza dough with all fresh daily prepared toppingsAlso, plenty of parking spaces in the front. I also saw that day have a nice outside porch for dining during nice days.I highly recommend Berkshire Pizzeria in Charlemont, MA. 5 stars all the way✨✨✨✨✨👍

To be honest, this place literally is one of the best pizza places in New England. Moving to the area decades ago, I couldn't find an adequate pizza joint for years. I tried places all around Western Massachusetts- from Hamden, Hampshire, Franklin and Berkshire, all I wanted was a decent pizza with thin crispy crust, sweet sauce, plentiful cheese and not too greasy... Berkshire Pizzeria has that and much much more. From self-serve sodas to beers, coffee, teas, and juice galore, the beverage selection is just as plentiful as the menu. Female owned and employing of local youth in the area, Berkshire Pizzeria has ample parking at its accessible Route 2 location. Located right in downtown Charlemont, I drive 45 minutes one way to get pizza here when I'm fiending for some mouth watering goodness. Staff are super friendly and the kids behind the counter are great! Check it out :-)

First discovered Berkshire Pizzeria several years ago when spending some time near the Deerfield river and now travel over an hour JUST to come here for the pizza several times per year. Several of my friends and family members are also hooked now as well.Hands down the BEST pizza I have ever had in my life. We get the Berkshire specialty pizza and I truly have not tasted anything like it anywhere else. This place is such a hidden gem with consistently fresh and delicious food, outstanding service, and a pretty view with outdoor seating in the summer months. You won’t be disappointed!

While at Berkshire Pizzeria I had a large The Beast Pizza and their homemade chips. It was absolutely delicious great service outdoor seating with a view of Berkshire East I highly recommend it.

On a motorcycle road trip, I stopped in and what a nice place ,with seating outback, outdoors with a nice country view and the Hamburger & fries were excellent. I'll be back again this year Lord willing...be sure to stop by you'll be surprised with the quality.

Objectively bad pizza and very expensive.Seriously, just go to Pizza Hut instead (that's how bad the pizza is here). Although I suppose if you're stuck in western Massachusetts and can't get to a real restaurant, this will have to do.--Reply to owner response:I visited on 7/14/2023. Anyone saying that this pizza is "the best they've ever had," well... hasn't had much pizza.This is below-chain-quality pizza at exorbitant prices. I guess that works out when you're the only pizzeria within an hour drive. But it doesn't work out if you've ever tasted pizza literally anywhere else.We could talk about the low-quality dough and the fact that the toppings were sparse and similarly poor quality. We could talk about the fact that whether you're expecting New York style pizza (which this pizza seems to be poorly emulating) or Chicago style, you're going to be disappointed. We could talk about the fact that Dominoes, Papa Johns, and Pizza Hut all taste better than what's offered here. But again, in western Massachusetts with no other options, this might be your best bet for an over-priced, under-quality pizza.

Everything on the menu is excellent. From pizzas to EXCELLENT salads to wings to great sandwiches, they really put the personal touch on everything and it makes sense since it's a family business. If you don't try the empanadas, you are missing out! A great beer selection and terrific outdoor seating (dog friendly!) makes this place a must see whether after a day on the slopes or after hitting the river. A++

I could not believe how AMAZING this place was, both food and staff. Random pizza place in the middle of no where off side of the road. I got a gluten free pizza with custom topics that was SSSOOOOO good (and for gluten free crust, that's saying a lot!) I ate the whole thing in one day and lost 2 pounds even the next day #keto ✌️ all my friends got superb food as well. A member of our party had autism and they were also phenomenal handling him, his questions and behaviors

The host is very welcoming and comforting.The food and service is nice. They have spectacular deck with the mountain view. We had custom made veggie large size pizza... It's was more than enough food for me and my wife for the day. And the pizza was perfectly cooked and tasty.

Excellent place and really great food! The pizza we ordered (Veggie i think) was really tasty, my wife also got a salad which was probably one of the best salads we've gotten from a fast casual place like this. Sat on the back porch (heated!) and really enjoyed our food - oh and I insisted we try the potato chips, they were excellent! Owner is a super friendly host and introduced us to the wonders of the mini ice cream sunday.

No frills fresh delicious pizza, fair prices. People were nice and gave us a free fresh cooked cookie as they were closing. Draft IPA was cold and fresh. Definately check out if you're in the mood for pizza.

I read reviews on this place for months and today my friend and I drove over the back roads to get there even though it is directly on Route 2. Ok, so my take on this little restaurant in the Heart of Charlemont is most assuredly one of the BEST PIZZAS 🍕 I have had in a very long time. Yes, we did wait a bit, however it was absolutely worth the little bit of wait time. I ordered the "BERSHIRE SPECIAL" and it was sooooooo good, delicious, mouth satisfying and done to perfection. I cannot expound enough on the quality of this pizza and the succulent toppings that came with it. My friend Barbara ordered a veggie calzone which she shared a piece with me while I shared a piece of pizza with her. The calzone was delicious but the Berkshire Pizza won 🏆. The owner was extremely accommodating even though the place was crowded. He took care of our appetites along with giving us a free sample of his Hot Fudge Sundae.Fabulous place if you want great food. They have an extensive menu so if you want pizza you have plenty of other choices.Great find. Great food. Fabulous owners. I’ve never EVER given any reviews before, but I just had to give the highest rating for Berkshire Pizzeria for their extraordinary pizza and outstanding service! First and foremost, Greg and his crew are the friendliest I’ve ever met running a restaurant. If you like crispy pizza, the extraordinary crisp of their pizza will blow your mind in every bite. The ingredients are so fresh. Initially, we were just hoping for a quick bite before exploring the Deerfield river, but we ended up coming back for more afterwards. We can’t wait to make future plans to come visit this area again, even if it’s just to get more pizza. Additionally, their soft ice cream and beer selection were awesome!

Found this place when we went tubing on the Deerfield river, make sure you order their homemade chips!!! Can't recommend enough. Pizza is fantastic. Wings were great. Back deck was such a delight to eat on. What a wonderful find. Staff was nicest people, and the owner chatted with us about where we were from and how our tubing day was. 10/10

Worth the stop if one is in the area. myself and some friends were in the area for a fishing trip, got two pizzas and two orders of wings. Got a meat lovers pie, and a loaded potato pie, buffalo wings, and teriyaki wings, all of which were delicious. Got everything to go and was even still hot when we got to the campground. Will definitely be back.
