We are so fortunate to have Avery’s General Store right down the street! Always have what we need when I’ve forgotten a random hardware item, or need a quick and yummy lunch on the fly! So much happier to support local rather than that big box hardware store.

Great place that literally has it all. From axe handles, to paints, tooth paste, screws, water shoes, hats, tshirts, water, deli meats, fresh produce, toiletries, etc. For real, Avery's has it all and great friendly staff to boot. Located downtown Charlemont right on route 2, Avery's is an area staple with such great history and historical significance. Definitely worth checking out for all your needs. Buy local, Avery's makes it affordable.

What a great General Store. Rhis was my first visit but won't be my last. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The prices were very competitive which was a pleasant surprise. I am giving a stellar endorsement to shop Avery's and every reason to shop local. If you don't find what your looking for, ask.

Avery's is a worker owned establishment. They are super helpful and have everything from chainsaw blades to mac and cheese. Great selection of local meats and veggies. Try the mushrooms if they are in season!

You have to stop by and see one of the last actual general stores for yourself. Even if your not looking for something just take a few minutes to walk around you will end up with something by the end of your visit.
