The shop is clean and has loads of high quality premium product. The owner is extremely attentive and very knowledgeable about the products. I live in New York but try to stop in every time I'm in the area to pick something up! Definitely worth checking out! The whole experience was 5 star through and through! Also noticed more selections for cats in addition to the already impressive amount of choices for dogs and pups as well!

Cute, clean, dog-friendly shop that carries the brands I like to treat my dog with (Polkadog bakery, icelandic, Bocce's, etc). I brought my dog in to pick out what chew she wanted and she ate it on the spot (the owner was super nice about it). It's great to finally have a good dog supplies store in the Porter area!

This charming store had a well curated selection of treats and gear for our pup at very reasonable prices. We'll be back to try the rest of the treats.Update: I came back and they now carry cat treats and toys too.

Andrew was incredibly helpful when I had questions about specific products and when I asked for recommendations. His store has quite the variety for dogs and even a little section for cats. We will be visiting again!

Great place, super friendly small business. I used to have an old dog with bad arthritis - he wouldn’t want to walk much… but if I said “want to go to the dog store” he would get pep in his step and enthusiasm in his walk just to get here. ❤️

I’m glad you are implementing a solution but it was extremely disappointing to be asked to wait for an unspecified amount of time in 23° wind chill because of someone else’s reactive dog.Walked half a mile in the cold with my dog and was excited to pick out a bunch of stuff for his birthday only to be told we needed to wait outside because another lady and her dog were in there. Will not try to go here again.

Stopped by today and picked up some fun items! Great little store with thoughtfully curated items. Plus if they don't have the inventory you want, they would order it for you. And like everyone says, Andrew the owner is super friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend checking out The Lucky Pup (they have stuff for cats too)!

Customer service was amazing! I was calling from out of state trying to help my mother find a specific food for her dog. The gentleman Andrew, was extremely helpful in locating the food and also its phosphorus count for me. He took my information and set the product aside to save it for us. I later called the store again to inform we found something closer to home. Andrew answered again and was extremly professional and understanding to not needing it no longer. Thank you for your professionalism and quick location of the product.

This is such a nice addition to the neighborhood. It is a small boutique, type dog treat store, with some accessories and quality food bags. Reasonable prices too! They have a range of quality dog treats that my friend’s new puppy is just dying over, and is really helping with the training. More so, the owner is such a kind and thoughtful person. When my friend was thinking about getting a dog, she spent hours talking to him and getting his advice. He was so thoughtful and patient and offered a ton of great doggy advice! Now we are loyal customers!Highly recommend, you check them out, and try some of the high-quality dog treats !

Our Boston Terrier couldn't get enough of the VERY affordable curly bully sticks. We will miss Lucky Pup so much in DC!

They have the best treats and food! And the owner is super nice. He let me take samples home for my cat to try before I bought a big bag of kibble, and offers to order additional bags of various products on my behalf. My cat sometimes doesn't feel well and doesn't eat, but he almost never turns down food and treats from The Lucky Pup.

So happy about this new gem of a shop! Andrew, the owner, was super nice and knowledgeable about the products. There are some very quality goods inside, including local and sustainably farmed products without tons of fillers. Also, if you have a special request he can have it shipped to the store for you! Will be returning often!EDIT: Just to add a pic where my dog dragged me to the store and wanted so badly to go in even though it was night! We love the shop so. :)

The Lucky Pup is a great addition to this stretch of Mass Ave. Andrew, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. In the time I was there, another shopper and I asked about 3 very different dog breeds and he had specific treat and fly suggestions for each, based on their characteristics. It’s a thoughtful, well-curated selection - the treats are purposefully do not contain harmful chemical by-products that you may see in most edible dog treat toys.Whether it’s for your own dog or for a gift, I highly recommend you stop by!

The Lucky Pup is an amazing pet supply store located in Cambridge. They have very high quality pet food and pet treats that use minimal ingredients and additives. They have great pet accessories as well and they have supplies for both dogs and cats. Service is top notch - will definitely be back

Really appreciating this new local pet shop. I, guiltily, shop quite a bit for my picky standard poodle and am always impressed by chews/treats/brands that we haven't come across before. I really appreciated the thoughtful curation notes that helped me find what might be a good fit for my dog.We were able to discover some new favorites at The Lucky Pup. The first is a cod fish skin collagen chew, which my dog Demi LOVED - it lasted her over an hour and we still have a good chunk left over. The second is an ostrich marrow bone from a South African company that features exotic proteins. Demi is happily chewing on that as we speak.I was also impressed by prices at The Lucky Pup - it felt super competitive. I am often sticker shocked by my total at check-out at other boutique pet shops, but was pleasantly surprised here.What a gem of a store! We will be back.
