Took my maltese for a bath, I knew he was full of matting. Aailiyah took such good care of my boy, she managed to get all the matting out without having to trim. Shout out for Ellie, who was checking dogs in and out. She was very friendly.

I went to visit on September 5th and almost all of the betta fish were dead in the display! 😢 Petsmart keeps all these bettas in these little tiny cups, which is animal abuse in and of itself, but at least feed them!

I have been taking my dog here for a while and will no longer be doing so after the quality and customer service has steeply declined. I showed up for an appointment and as i was waiting their "grace period" for check-ins passed, by only ONE MINUTE. On top of this when I walked in every associate ignored me until I spoke up then someone finally answered and the associate who had my groom said we were late, again by barely one minute. When I asked if that grace period applied to while an associate was finally available to speak with us or if it was for when we walked in to wait to be spoken to, the associate rolled her eyes and said it was too late and we had to leave. Really disappointing because if the associate had actually taken the time to explain and had I not be ignored I would not be writing this review. I have been taking my dog here for years and the Cambridge location used to have amazing kind groomers, but not any longer. Do not recommend. Very disappointed.

Took my husky mix (who is shedding her undercoat) to get bathed & groomed, and Jose did a great job!! It took a little longer than expected but they were very friendly and kept me updated. Will return!

Update: the store manager was very nice to follow up with us and gave our dog a complementary nail trim service. The service was very nice. Very efficient customer communication and follow up. Thanks!//////I had very bad experience with the grooming service today. I was informed that they were only be able to trim my dog's back nails, not front. It was very shocking as my dog has been in this particular PETSMART grooming place for nail trimming for 3+ years since he was a puppy. When I confronted this issue inside the grooming room, it turns out a new girl there who trimmed the nails for my dog today. First she said: "oh, it would be your dog is not familiar with this location." == I was like, why you are so confident that it is my dog's problem, not yours? and why you do not bother to check the transaction history to see how many times my dog was here for the nail trimming. But whatever, it is not important. It is important we make sure my dog finishes his nail trimming == that is what I paid for! So I suggested that we would like to make another appointment to finish my dog's nail trimming. During the appointment making, she then commented: "oh, we must make sure 2 ppl there for this dog's nail trimming; oh, the appointment only will be kept for you for 15 mins if you are late..." Finally I said: " this is a bit mean. I guess I will make the appointment later". I really cannot image how she mis-treated my dog during today's nail trimming process. Must be painful. I wish my dog can speak and tell me his experience. And theoretically the employees at Petsmart shall at least love the pets. It is so said that there is such employee blames everything to the pets and try to harsh on the pet owners to ensure that both pets and pet owners have a very unforgivable experience. I am not sure if I want to go back to this grooming place if I can have other choices.

I give this PetSmart a solid 4 stars.I wanted to make a quick run for my ailing cat so I went in looking for a known, commercial brand, and one of the folks who worked there was certain that it was not there and that PetSmart did not carry it. All was not lost tho! Even though this is a large box store another employee within earshot heard the conversation and pointed me in the right direction. Pro tip: Order ahead on-line using their app first to make sure anything you need that is "pet" is in stock.

My most favorite pet store! Always have everything that I need in stock and the staff and managers are amazing! They brighten my day, and make coming to PetSmart one of my ‘happy places.’ Love this store so much! :)

I took my child her to purchase her first pet so she was super excited. The absence of floor staff is quite noticable. We walked around the store for over half an hour trying to figure out what we needed to avoid the hassle of returning home without the correct items or having to return incorrect items..so i had to go in search of a staff member!! I eventually found one that wasn't too busy chatting into their earpieces!! He was very helpful and friendly. The queues for cashing up were rather long as only 1 till was open making it a rather long wait.

Our dog has been going to doggie daycare and boarding at the Pets Hotel for over five years, and we can't say enough good things about everyone there. The staff is consistently kind and friendly and takes great care of him. Kenya and her team are amazing and have gone out of their way to be communicative and remember small details about our dog. Also, Jeni in the grooming salon does a great job and is always sensitive to our dog's needs.

My recent visit was no less awesome than my past experiences with this particular PetSmart. "Sam", perhaps short for Samantha, proactively informed me of the cause for an inventory shortage for a product from a particular company. She was also helpful in providing a framework for how to decide on a product alternative of comparable quality/nutritional value.This is, of course, the store that hosts Broken Tail Rescue's feline adoption service.

The refusal to sell fish to customers based on their tank size is based on a random judgement. The clerk refused to sell 5 dwarf bottom feeders to be added to 22 gallon tank already stocked with only 12 neon tetras and three other dwarf bottom feeders. The general rule of thumb based on Google search is quite different and while different experts are duking it out about the stocking, the customers get humiliated. Please hire professionals, not people who are full of… good intentions.

Wouldn’t let me buy a fish because stupid things like “not having the right heater” and saying things like “oh the fish will die” so really dumb. And they said you need to prove you’re over 18 which is dumb and I did not like it. But I bought it behind the manager’s back in the end so thank you for supplying my white elephant gift! Whoever ends up with it will have no idea what to do!🤣🤣🤣

Disappointingly few animals. Mostly pet food and pet clothes and toys. Took my granddaughter to look at possible pets. Two grown cats, 2 guinea pigs, a boring selection of basic fresh water fish, and maybe ten dogs. No rats or mice or hamsters or rabbits, no birds that we noticed. Felt like a waste of time.

Petsmart Pets Hotel Fresh Pond Cambridge is the best. I tried multiple other shops before we settled here almost 10 years ago. Kenya, the manager has been there the whole time. Most of the employees stay which builds long relationships with you and most importantly the Fur Baby’s ! Highly recommended them for Day Camp and Boarding !

I went here today to pick up some Purina Pro Plan Dog Food. I got the last one of the type I wanted and got home with it. I should've looked closer. Upon opening the bag I noticed it was moldy. I found the expiration date on the back of the bag.... Aug 2017! THIS IS APRIL 2018! I taped up the bag so I could bring it back tomorrow. I left the bag on my counter. About 30 minutes later I went to do the dishes and noticed a BUG on the bag. NOT ONLY ON THE BAG BUT CRAWLING OUT OF IT ONTO MY COUNTER! I am beyond disgusted and SO LUCKY I paid attention when I opened it and didn't feed it to my dog.BE WARNED THIS IS A GROSS OVERSIGHT AND NEGLIGENCE by Petsmart to allow a NINE MONTH EXPIRED bag to remain on the shelf and worse yet to be SOLD.Follow Up - I got in touch with the store manager who was extremely apologetic. She is new to this location and explained that they are working to remedy these problems in the future. I appreciate the response and am willing to give them another chance given the way she handled this. I hope this is an isolated incident and it definitely seems like they are working to correct everything store wide.

The employees make this a 5 start store. From the managers to the cashiers everyone is friendly and helpful. And they have a local rescue in store with cat adoptions. This is great PetSmart, wish all retail experiences had employees this helpful.

Worst experience ever. They charge me $29 for 5 minutes mail grinding for my dog that they do all the time ,,the exuse was that she ask for help in order to grind the nails cus he is large dog. And she grind my dogs nails million times. Very greedy staff.Regular price is $15.

The dog training classes were perfect and our dog learned so much! Tori was the best and we will miss her a lot. Everyone who works here is so kind, understanding, and patient with the dogs that they work with. The grooming was also top notch!
