I was visiting in Cambridge recently and randomly asked someone at a dog run where a pet supply store was in the area and was directed to Loyal Companion. The DIY dog wash was also recommended if I needed that. I decided I did! I was able to walk in and get an appointment right away, the supplies were all there, really nicely appointed tub, washing supplies, clean towels--everything I needed. The store had great products as well--my little corgi Puck was more than happy to help pick out the right chewable treat!

Excellent facility! They have a very extensive array of products with high standards. I had my dogs nails done, they did a great job. I also used the self wash tub which was great and really easy to use. I will definitely be frequenting this store.

The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable on all things a furparent needs. The trainer for different level classes is super friendly and patient. The groomer knows how to deal with anxious pups. Wish I found this company a long time ago.

Really recommend this store!!! The manager is very helpful. There is lots of food brands for dog and cat. For this time, I found all things I neededin this store. I will let my dog do the grooming for next time. I have already recommended my friends. Really nice store!!! I LOVE it!!!

Loved their selection! The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. It seems like a place that actually cares for their customers and their pets. My dog loved being in the store so much I had to carry her out.

The puppy training class taught by Chris is fantastic! We started with the Level 1 class when our dog, Mango, was just 14 weeks old. He knew some basic commands, like sit and lie down but that was it. By the time he finished the course, he could heel, make eye contact with me, stand, and was beginning to learn loose leash walking by the end of the 6 classes. We liked the program so much we enrolled him in Level 2 training. Mango learned to focus on us more and could do commands in rotation. He walks much better on leash. He loves his puppy class and the friends he's made. We even enrolled our other dog, a small chihuahua who has a spicy personality when she see other dogs, to try and help with some of the behaviors that the dogs were exhibiting when they walk together. Chris helped us tremendously there too. He brought Emmy out of her shell and taught us techniques for how to respond to her when she's responding to other dogs. I would recommend Chris and Loyal Companion for all your dog training needs. Chris is very patient and attentive. He calms us down when we get frustrated and re-directs both ours and the dog's focus to get the dogs to do what we want them to. Chris definitely makes dog training fun. Our dogs absolutely love him!

A great selection of stuff for dogs. The cat supplies were more scarce, but they had all the essentials and a pretty good selection of food. The employees were very kind and helpful. A+ customer service.

I'm excited about this new store for out little fur babies. I love that they have grooming and training available, all the different top brand dog food money can buy, and so much more! Staff are super friendly and helped us find everything we needed when we stopped in there only twice so far. Will be back for sure!

I just moved to the area and started coming here for my kitties. The store itself is very clean and well stocked! They have a great selection of high quality products, toys, accessories. My cats love just about all the food I get from here. As a first time customer I was so impressed with the customer care experience. Shoutout to Marie for helping us find everything we needed and for a few samples to try out!

This is our favorite pet store. Our dog gets incredibly excited every time she realizes we’re headed here. They have a great selection of food, snacks, toys, accessories, and everything else you could need for your pet. The staff is also always very friendly and nice. All of that, combined with the pet snacks all around the store makes for a great experience for both us and our pet. Highly recommend this place!

They have a great selection and there are always quality products on sale. The staff is also helpful. Erik helped me when the website wasn’t showing their store as an option for the online order/pickup in store option, he went above and beyond, applied the discount and set the food aside for me in store. I recommend this shop to all my friends, looking foreword to visiting again.

I’m a new dog owner and am obsessed with going to this store with my puppy, Gus! He loves it just as much. They have such a great selection and really knowledgeable (and super kind) staff. We get the best treats and toys here, and look forward to returning for all of our needs as Gus grows!

Our first time at this location in Cambridge, MA. Right when we walked in they greeted us and and welcomed us. They were extremely helpful and answered all of our questions.Marie was very helpful! We came in looking for birthday stuff to celebrate our dogs 1st birthday and they had so many goodies for pups! We will be returning for all of our dogs needs. The store is extremely organized and clean as well!

Going here makes me feel like I’m doing the right thing - for a good business and for my pet! The staff here are so friendly and genuinely invested in every customer and their pet. I have a cat and I’m blown away by the range of food offered, as well as probiotic and grooming care. As far as stuff for dogs, there’s even more, but I’m really happy with their selection and range for cats. They’re also well informed about pet care and offer samples which I appreciate. I’ll definitely be taking my kitty here for a grooming day! Coming here puts a smile on my face and I’m glad Loyal Companion is in my area. Definitely recommend this to pet owners looking to give their pets more love!

I recently moved down the street from this location and each time my puppy and I have been in, we have been treated warmly by whoever is working. Erik was there my first time and helped orient me to the store. Marie, the manager, went above and beyond to get to know my pup and suggest things he may need now and when he grows up. I LOVE this store and the amazing folks who work there. It feels like a local “mom ‘n pops” the way the staff remember you and your pet.The staff really knows their stuff, too. When I first came in with a newly adopted underweight dog... Rachael immediately suggested I add goats milk to his diet. It did the trick of helping him ramp up his weight quickly and safely.My dog LOVES the groomer, Brianna, the groomer. She’s so good with him and it’s hilarious to see how quickly his separation anxiety fades as she leads him away for his spa treatment!Erik, a store manager, is an absolute treasure. He worked with me TWICE to reschedule training courses I had signed up for, but then couldn’t make. Never making me feel bad, and showing true care about what would work best for me.Honestly, I look forward to visiting the shop as much as my dog! I can’t recommend this place enough.
