Bought a fish tank for in store pick up. Cashier Lee was incredible and such a nice guy. Got the tank home and realized the bottom was covered in animal feces. I answered the survey they sent and petco did reach out but it was mostly empty "sorry well do better" canned responses that I see on all the google reviews. I wouldn't buy anything here based on a fear of hygiene for my pets.

We can completely talk about abuse! A guinea pig, in a mini aquarium tank and without hay!!!! I ask a seller and he has the nerve to tell me that he had hay in the morning! Guinea pigs needfresh hay continuously, they must be able to chew it all day long, for their intestinal transit as well as for the health of their teeth! The cruelest thing is to see the dozens of packages of hay around the empty sales cages! I don't understand why health authorities allow stores to mistreat their animals and not have the skills to educate future owners. I'm no longer going to buy anything from these big, disrespectful brands, so as not to participate in this cruel system!

LEE deserves a raise!!! Every time I see him, he makes my day better. He is clearly a dog lover and watching him interact with the dogs at check out, melts my heart! He is always upbeat, personable, and a delight to interact with. Lee, you make the world a better place :)

I was at Petco on Sunday and the registers were slow but the employees were greatThey both kept all the customers in conversation so the length of time in line was not as long as it seemedGood job to you’re employees very friendly and quite humorous!

Brunette young cashier is extremely rude, trying to shame me because my fish lasted only 2 years (and probably was a year old when we bought it from the store.) Lots of rudeness and misinformation from staff. Don't go here.

Overall friendly staff but we found unevenly cut areas on our dog after his grooming appointment. The most obvious was near his chest and neck where it appears a different size clipper may have been used accidentally. Two spots around the face were missed as well, which we trimmed ourselves at home.

Horrible experience here manager Brian is rude . Was treated terribly I understand having bad day and hating ur job but it shouldn’t reflect customer service .was told I couldn’t return a tarantula because he would be losing profit of 120$ when the tarantula was only 100$ but they take back other merchandise from other stores with no issues? Decided to raise his voice and be ignorant to disabled person , he should not be allowed to run a store with an attitude like that . Should be fired shame on you Petco , customer service said I could return it to any local Petco with in 30 days .

***Very large Petco and tons of product!***Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Open late (9p most days). You can get your pet groomed. I mean...they have birds, they have fish, they have reptiles. AND, dog training classes.If you have a pet, this Petco is definitely worth a stop. Or, at least a call.

My dog went for his first grooming appointment and came back without his toe nail. It had been ripped out by the groomer. Bleeding and scared my 7 month old puppy and I will never be returning to this place. The groomers never even called us. Then they tried to downplay the situation. Advised us not to take our dog to the vet. Which we obviously did not follow and took him right to our vet. $400 later and a traumatized pup our vet was so thankful we came to her to help him. To top it off it was the day of my rehearsal dinner / wedding the next day which the dogs were supposed to be in. Absolutely disgusting neither myself or my husband will be returning to petco. Do not bring your dogs here.

Shame Petco. Twice i've been told by Burlington Petco cashiers that 'it's the law' to charge for paper bags. Not true. They can provide bags the same as Market Basket does. I don't always have a reusable bag with me when in someone else's vehicle.

They are charging 10 cents per bag at checkout!!! Product availability is getting worse. A discounted marked down item of bird food ended up as full charge on my receipt! What the heck is up with Petco suddenly. Im not going back anymore. No help in store either! I give up Petco!

We took our dog to get a haircut and bath. When we picked her up she looked amazing!! Julia did an amazing job. The price in my opinion was a good value. I would recommend this place to anyone needing to have their pet groomed.

I took my dog in for a grooming thought. I would try them out at first I thought the grooming was okay but when I got her home the grooming was completely uneven and choppy wish I could get my twenty dollar tip back

We have one fish left from when my children were small, and he has an attitude. The staff provided advise that I could not add more fish to the tank, but ways to keep this one entertained. I generally go there for dog things, and they have great variety of dog supplies including flexible cones.

So far Petco Burlington has the best selection and pricing around for what I need. I shop for cats and fish/aquarium needs. I usually know what I need and research ahead before heading over, so I am aware of what to buy. What's nice is as long as the packages are unopened with my invoice, they have taken back items and gave me refunds on supplies I no longer needed (after my pets passed).

I had a horrible first time experience with the Petco Grooming Salon in Burlington, MA. I was quoted $54 plus a materials fee of $4.99 for a Bath with Haircut Long Hair SM for my 15 lb. Pomeranian when I booked my appointment online. During the drop off, I specified to the associate how short I would like for my dog's fur to be cut. She understood and didn't mention any additional charges to me before I left. When I came back to pick up my dog, the associate charged me an extra $10 fee for a "Shave, Brushout, and Scissor" because she said the haircut that I asked for was not standard for my dog's breed and did not remove the charge. I have never had this issue at the Petco in Woburn, MA and I have been consistently asking for the same haircut. This salon is dishonest about their services and charges. I would not recommend going here.

We were so extremely impressed with the employee who took time to help us. Our older dog has become very finicky and doesn't always take her medication, even in pill pockets. We asked an employee to direct us to dog gravy and she spent time with us to describing the products and more. I wish I caught her name. Amazing employee.

Needed to get some fish with my grandson and had an excellent discussion with the young lady who cares for the fish department. Very enthusiastic, instructional and interested in helping us decide. We got four small Tetras different shapes and colors to add interest in our tank.

Great if you need supplies for the most part, and associates are friendly. Live animals are another story. Almost no pet here is in the proper living conditions and staff are not properly trained on each animals specific needs. Not only are they housed incorrectly in store the enclosures for reptiles and such for sale are not proper either. Snakes should never be kept in completely glass mesh top tanks, and beta fish should not be kept in freaking plastic takeout containers.

Rude staff! Walked up to check out and the girl working on Friday 5/6 at 2:05 pm was on her phone. That’s fine, the store wasn’t busy so you do you. But I walked up, set down my stuff, and said hello with no response from the cashier. She continues to text, doesn’t look up or say anything. She rings up my items, asked if I had a phone number, and that was it. Hire better people!

Beware of the new management abs staff. I’ve been a client for the last 7 years, for their grooming, training and this new staff is by far THE WORST I’ve seen in my life.Complete disregard for my loyalty as client, or any appreciation for my business, I want to ensure people know how poor of an experience I had today with the grooming team cancelling my appointments for being a few minutes late to drop my dogs.The staff had no client management skills, didn’t care to offer alternative options, and after talking to the manager had no options even offered. The grooming staff was down right insulting with her attitude towards me as a client.In conclusion, avoid coming here at all costs

I have been a loyal Petco shopper for over 20 years. The store carries my brands. The staff is always pleasant. Historically, the rewards and coupons are of no value to me. If I get a coupon that will expire soon after I have shopped, it does not help me. So much for loyalty.

I found what I needed for my rescue cats but seeing the birds in small cages here makes me sad. I don’t like seeing animals sold for profit in stores. Especially birds that are meant to fly freely. If you’re going to have animals here let them be adoptable and from rescue groups.

Nearly full variety of expected petstore supplies and small fresh water/tropical fish dept. Also has small, by appt. grooming shop that I have been pleased with for pet level grooming. They treat the pets very well, and remember them as well.
