Got my new rescued pit bull, Gimli, neutered through their pit fix program. Also got his nails trimmed and got him microchipped. It only cost a little over $100 for everything and that was including a $10 donation to help fund the program! This program is fantastic! The staff was very friendly and the neutering went smoothly and he healed up great! Everyone who has a pit bull should use this program, especially if you can't afford going to your normal vet for fixing your doggo! This makes it affordable for everyone. I'm so happy I could save money and do what's best for Gimli. There are way too many pits in need of homes. Please be a responsible pit mom or dad and spay/neuter 😊 and donate if you can to help fund this wonderful program! Thank you to everyone at Second Chance! Including a picture of Gimli (beige and white pit) and his sister Willow (brindle pit/boxer) so I can share their cuteness with everyone! 😊

Second chance is a big part of my life I have 1 dog and 4 cats when I lost my other dog GRACE ELIZABETH on December 20th of 2023 they where there for me all the way very supportive and understanding 💕 I totally recommend them to anyone

Dr. Celmer sets the bar for how a veterinarian should treat animals and their people. I always have such an exceptional experience when she cares for our pets. Too bad she primarily handles dogs while someone else primarily handles cats. Unfortunately, I am finding a new place to bring my geriatric cat because of Dr. Duggan. The techs and office staff are great to interact with. Until recently, my (now) 15 year old cat was always complimented for being so easy to handle. Last appointment she got rather ornery and attacked the tech (her first time doing this ever), but the tech was so easy going and understanding that kitty it getting old and doesn't like being poked and prodded at her age. I love the staff here.

We adopted a cat from someone and took them to second chance, we then decided to adopt another cat and we went through second chance. Of course we decided to continue our veterinary care through them for north cats.The staff are all fantastic, very kind and caring. You can tell they care and love your animal as much as you do. They are great at explaining what is needed, options, and what works best for us without judgement.We plan to continue to use them for many years to come.

We just got Patrick ashes back💙 What can I say... We got Patrick at the second chance shelter some 15 yrs ago so it was only right to keep him with their center.. A big thank you to Second Chance Wellness Center for their amazing job they did on bringing Pat Pats ashes back to us, from the velvet midnight blue bag that his urn was in to the urn itself that has a place for his picture, his paw prints, authentic certificate, seeds to plant in his honor and a beautiful sympathy card made out to us with kind words. I am overwhelmed with their effort to make this sad time easier for our family... ❤️ Thank you!

This shelter is awesome for saving animals. Cats, dogs, and cute bunnies. They give them a 2nd chance. My family adopted a beautiful puppy from here. She was fed well, vaccinated, and overall, it looked healthy, too.The staff were very informative, and they looked overwhelmed, but their heart is in the right place. They give all the information to new owners and VETs for where to take the new pet.Please don't breed. Adopt from shelters. Our puppy is settled in now.

Very pleased there is a vet hospital that does spay or neuter for a reasonable amount. Wish all vets would lower their cost so maybe there wouldn't be as many full shelters. Would highly recommend.

We used second chance to adopt the latest member of our family. They were very kind, we got to meet and then adopt. Anyone still not allowing visitation is not ideal at this point. The adoption fee was very reasonable. Find the next member of your family now!

This place is the best not only with your pets but the owners to. I had to put my dog down due to cancer and it was an incredible experience not only do they give you private time with your pet before they are put down but also afterwards.

My dog is a current patient here and I have been with Second Chance ever since I adopted. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and very kind and gentle to my dog for all of her appointments and treatments. They do their best to make sure your dog is welcomed and comfortable.

We love second chance and the care they give to our family. My cat and dog are well taken care of and the staff really cares for the animals. Sometimes it is harder to get ahold of them which can be anxiety inducing if you have an immediate concern. But otherwise they are great. ❤️

We have been bring our dog Luna here since we first got her at 8 weeks, she's now 2 years and loves going every time. She gets frequent ear infections, her ears are super sensitive to water. They see her pretty often and have have been a life saver on helping us keep costs down which has been helpful when it feel like we are there every almost every month or so.

I recently adopted two kittens from Second Chance and a week later one developed and eye infection, I was able to bring both kittens to the Second Chance Animal Clinic for treatment at no charge.. The staff was very friendly, they were still practicing covid safety, therefore they came out and got the kitties while I waited in my car. The kitties were quickly examined and brought back to me. I then received a call from clinic stating one kitty had conjunctivitis and the other had some upper respiratory issues. It is not uncommon for either issue to develop when animals move to a new home. I received eye drops for one and antibiotics for both. The oral antibiotics were measured out in individual syringes for each Kitty to ensure proper dosage. As I said the staff was wonderful and there was no charge to me for the visit or the medications. We will certainly be going back for a follow-up.

Amazing people!! We help host low cost vaccine & microchip clinics with Second Chance for many years now... they are the best.We also did a mobile doggie adoption with them a few weeks ago and that was an amazing success with all dogs adopted 😍

Brought my German shepherd here last Monday to get spayed. When we got her home we noticed a puddle of blood underneath her where she was laying so we brought her back. They said not to be concerned sometimes the glue won’t close the incision so they used staples and wrapped her. So the next day my oldest son (20) was home with her and noticed she wasn’t doing so great. My wife got home from work and noticed more blood so back to 2nd chance we go. So now they open her up again and tell us after 4 hours there’s nothing more that they can do for her. She won’t stop bleeding so we can either take her home after they close her up and basically let her bleed to death, call tufts and spend 15k on an operation that probably won’t work and even if it does she’ll never be a normal dog again or put her to sleep. So at 1130 pm last Tuesday we had to make the hardest decision as a family and put our Bailey girl to sleep. Please don’t bring your pets here.
