Quaboag Book Shop is not to be missed if you like used bookstores. This is a fairly big warehouse lined floor to ceiling with shelves of books. They’re well organized and the owner does a great job maintaining the space. I feel like you could spend days exploring the collection and still find hidden gems. Books are reasonably priced, too. It’s a used book lover’s dream. Do yourself a favor and make this a priority pit stop if you’re traveling through central Massachusetts.

Excellent quiet bookshop that's anything but little. Great selection of books. I found some gems that I've never seen before. Hundreds of books. Prices are good. Staff was friendly. I've reccomended this place to others and ill be back next time I'm in the area!

SOOOO many books! Make sure you leave some time to visit here! Many different books, lots of unique and interesting titles. Most of the books are in very good condition. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable. Cash, cards and electronic wallets accepted. They have a great "trade in" program too.

this is the best bookstore I have ever seen I am mystery and fiction but whatever you like history the occult geography anything you want he has it too much to mention everything but prices are great and if you been looking for it he probably has it. Friendly people nothing bad about this place

Over 110K volumes at greater Worcester area's largest bookstore!Lots of vintage books with some of them leftover from libraries with card pockets and stamps intact.The owner is nice. Store credit available to patrons if they donate books there.With endless stacks of books from every genre / category and some media items, that surely is a place for patrons who love reading. Now that is a book lover's dream.

This book store is amazing! It was my first time here and I was not sure what to expect. There literally is something here for everyone! There are thousands of books and very well organized. (For example, the psychology area is divided into seperate sections based on psychologist and/or specialty. The craft section is divided based on the type of crafts.) Prices are very fair (most of my books were around $7 while my son's was around $3. I spent $30 and purchased 2 adult and 4 children books. I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking to browse and pick up a good book.

This is a gem of a bookshop! I like coming here for their selection of nature writing and mysteries. I can almost always find older hardbacks of Christie or Sayers, which I adore. Bring cash (cards not accepted) and suck your gut in (just kidding--though the aisles can be a little narrow) but definitely stop by if you're in the area!

Amazing place! Huge store more like a book warehouse! We're WWII and Local History people we always find10-15 great books each visit. Wish we lived closer (45 minutes from Chicopee) but our budget would run out!!

My husband and I love used bookshops, and have been to many over the years, traveling around the northeast. We just discovered Quaboag Book Shop, and are wondering how it is that we had missed it until now. After spending an hour or so starting to look through the books, we both felt we could spend a couple of days there, happily browsing. We left, hours later, with 2 big boxes of books. The prices were quite fair, even low in some cases. There were lots of surprises in the sections I was looking through--old brochures, pamphlets, patterns, etc. I love that they have runs of older magazines that are hard to find in other bookshops. As another reviewer noted, the organization is good, but not perfect. I found that a great excuse for checking neighboring and related sections elsewhere in the store to see what might show up. We'll definitely be back--this shop is now at the top of our list of best used bookstores in the Northeast, along with the Niantic Book Barn in CT and the Strand in NYC.

Such a fun place to get lost in for a while. They have a great selection of previously owned books, an awesome romance novel section (rare in stores these days!) and many shelves filled with old 19th and early 20th century books. So cool holding that history in your hands! There's something for everyone here, and the prices are excellent. This place is huge and well worth a drive if you're not local. (Take the back roads-- it's a beautiful ride!)

Known by everyone as the Book Bear. Located in West Brookfield not that close to Quaboag Pond. Very large bookstore with the widest possible variety of selections. Well organized but not perfectly so. Prices inconsistent, some remarkably low others higher than you expect. This is not a barrier to shopping at this store. Another asset is the knowledgeable staff. Also friendly.

This is a wonderful book store. The books are organized pretty well by categories. They can't really tell you if they have any certain book, but you can find the topic of the book in a section, and then look for yourself. It's about 98 percent likely that you will buy more than one book, or at least want to. Prices are reasonable. They are used books and you can often find books about historical subjects, that would be hard to find elsewhere.

Great place to visit with kids. The staff was very friendly and prices and selection were great. My kids found a tiny book in a foreign language that's over a hundred years old! It was a great way to get my kids excited about reading.

Love this book store! You can certainly get lost looking at everything they have there. These are used books but that doesn't matter, lots and lots of reading material on every subject you can imagine. There are used magazines as well. Very much worth the stop in!
