This grocery store is in a convenient location. It's across the street from the Marriott we were staying at and also in the epicenter of Boston's Back Bay. We got in late Friday night and was able to get some shopping done before the 11pm closing time. The store looked organized with all of your grocery needs. There is a liquor store on the second floor too. Security was on duty so we felt safe. The prices seem comparable to other supermarkets. They also have a rewards program which I didn't look into because I don't have one of these near where I live. There were self checkouts and you can purchase bags for 5 cents a piece. Overall, a nice grocery store located in the city.

A large and well-stocked supermarket with some reasonable pricing too. But there’s a hefty price tag on the takeaway food items. My tub of food set me back a whopping $15.50! Whilst enjoyable, the quality wasn’t stand out and the portion size was average. Not something I would buy again.

Has been my go-to market since 1982. Create an account for more savings. Check the discount racks in the back for discounted items. Great wine and beer deals. The last meat cooler below the breaded chicken products may have discounted meat items. Check out the frozen food selection for 50% off items. Picked up the Banana Bread Poptarts Guinness on sale.

This supermarket is really huge, there are a lot of different aisles and areas to shop.Sometimes is hard to find what you are looking for, but if you ask to a member of the staff they will take you to where it is, they are nice.They have a lot of different sections, the grocery is really big too and they have a lot of cheese types. There's also Free WiFi but sometimes doesn't work fine, so be patient.Cashiers are usually fast and lanes usually go fast.

Has everything, too much! It's definitely a good place to shop. This one was clean, and even though it was busy the checkouts weren't clogged up. Nice location too! 👌

Very good price for the fresh live lobster today. They can steam it for you too. 3 medium lobsters costs me less than $30.They also offer good selection of vegetables and fruit.However, it’s always long line here at cashier. Make sure you are not in a hurry.

I had an awful experience with customer service. I called to inquire about whether I could return something I purchased through Postmates. I specifically called because I knew I might not be able to return everything. I listed what I had and the woman said I could come in and that the items should be returnable. I understood they may not all have been returnable if they came from the cold section, but I went anyway. Upon arriving, I accidentally said Instacart, because I am not a frequent user of Postmates, but rather Instacart and are way more familiar with their policies. Hence, why I called about Postmates to begin with… she accused me of lying, because I realized I had accidentally said Instacart upon arriving. She also proceeded to tell me there was a $15 restocking fee, which she never mentioned on the phone. I said I wouldn’t have come in had that been the case and she just continued to say I was lying and never said Postmates and that my story had changed. She had no goal of helping me as a customer. I shop at Star market frequently as I live nearby and it was a sore disappointment to have such a bad experience at my local store.

I have been a customer at this particular location since childhood. I am completely shocked by the carelessness of two security guards who work for Minute man security.I was being watched from the moment I stepped foot into the establishment.Not going to stress over the situation so, I continued shopping and checked out my items at the register.All items are placed on the counter. I pay for my purchases and bag my groceries and collect the receipt. I began to walk towards the restroom. I noticed another security guard staring at me. I walk past the gentleman. He is now walking directly behind me as I walk towards the exit. He JUMPS right in front of me. He then says to me. I need to see your receipt. I was completely confused as to why he wants to review my receipt ? He clearly wasn’t asking anyone else for their receipt ?!?!I said NO!!! Another team member begins to approach me asking the very same thing. I am now completely beside myself and very embarrassed by the way this was handled.Meanwhile, I presented a receipt. But, know one actually looked at the receipt to balance out all the items in my bag.They glance at the receipt and said! Ok!”We assume that you are telling the truth” I shot back.. You ASSUME ???? Why would anyone assume anything and jump in front of me and demand a receipt ?This was extremely unprofessional! I was held up in the store arguing over their initial assumption. The assumption that I was shop lifting ?? Meanwhile the real culprits are walking out without ever being noticed!!This was a complete screw up with Minute Man Security.Clearly, this situation could have been handled professionally. I am very upset by this and I plan on following up with corporate headquarters and Minute Man Security. No one should ever be targeted when shopping in your establishment.

Inaccurate pricing on displays. I made sure to select the cheapest option for everything I purchased, based on the price listed below each item on the shelves and when I went to check out one item was $4 more than advertised and another was $2 more than advertised. I only bought three items so that was glaringly obvious.

Right next to Prudential Center shopping mall. Nice store wide selection of foodstuffs and alchohol. However there are a few issues with the management of the store that you will notice after frequenting it.

You can find in this store the truth, everything you need for the home and also to enjoy the prepared foods they offer, it has a huge and varied menu to choose from to taste. This site is recommended, it is near the Prudential Mall and Copley Plaza Mall.

Two part review:1. Telephone customer service is terrible and lazy. Called to ask if the seafood department steamed lobster. Woman refused to transfer call or find an answer.2. Walked to market and found that the seafood counter did steam fresh lobsters. The gentleman behind the counter was great. We were staying in a hotel. He cracked the claws and cut the tails.Thank you seafood department. Customer service department, you need training.

Quality of this place has cratered. The seafood counter regularly sells dead shellfish, hot food bars are kept out hours past safe shelf life, and there's just clear managerial mismanagement rampant. Workers seem confused and without strong direction. Prices have also soared compared to any other Boston location, only saving grace are some good weekly sales.

This Star Market is ok. I use it when I can't get to Whole Foods. They usually have what I need. The produce and meat is not as good as Whole foods. It is more difficult to find organic foods. The signature line is ok not great. I do not find this Star Market to be cheaper than while foods in general. Some items may be cheaper. Whole foods has better sales and if you are a prime member you can save more.

I frequent this location as I work down the street at Copley Center. It’s a nice and clean place but some of the workers are just miserable. I hate leaving bad reviews but it just keeps happening…I always shop for wine and liquor here because the prices aren’t bad and it’s convenient but there’s a man that works in this is department that needs to sharpen his customer service… I believe his name might be Bill if I recall correctly. The first few times I dealt with him I thought he might just be having a long day so I shrugged his attitude off but this last time I was there, he followed me and gave me dirty looks for no apparent reason. Followed it up by asking if I needed help in the most abrasive way possible and when I told him just looking around for now, he shook his head and whispered something under his breath… Just filled with negativity.He’s an older man so maybe he has a lot on his plate. I don’t think that’s an excuse to always be miserable to a loyal customer who tries to be nice to everyone there. Obviously have had more encounters with others here but it happens. The only reason why I’m leaving this review now is it tends to happen in the liquor department far more than anywhere else.

Great place to shop in Copley plaza area. We stay at the Marriott and always visit the Star Market for incidentals. They have great prepared meals too! Excellent beer, wine and spirits selections. Everything is so fresh!

This is the great Star Market right in Back Bay right by the Prudential Great Deli and great fresh fish they have the best Boar Head products in Boston try the pastrami have Mustafa cut it for you he does a great job great place to get some pastrami brisk and corned beef to make the best Reubens ever looking through the meat department some great prices and daily special discounts they do have some great specials I bought Oscar Mayer bacon for $3 on sale also lots of other stuff on sale been doing more of my shopping here instead of Stop & Shop they seem to have better service better products a great place to buy all your products

It was raining hard outside so they had all but one entry/exit closed lol. It was probably for a reason, but most everyone got SOAKED walking all the way around to the one door…Seems like they have very fair prices and a great selection!!! Perfect for a hotel re-supply lol

I love Star Market! I've been coming here for years. The Starbucks and pre-made hot meals near the side entrance are very convenient! Definitely the nicest and most affordable grocery store around.

Great supermarket if you're staying in the local area. A busy and popular spot it seems but they can handle it no problem. Staff are always very nice. Great fresh fruit and veg and a large wine and beer selection. Hot food counter seems to be a real draw for the locals too - looks decent. Well run automated checkouts that move fast. Recommended.

This Star Market in Copley Square has many items in stock so it makes it easier for me to shop and buy what I need. I love buying their products and produce because of their freshness! I also have bought some beautiful Flowers and plants from them. Everything is delicious.
