Great dog supply shop!! I have never seen such a great selection of chews and treats, and I love that it's almost all to buy in bulk (and zero waste)! We have so much fun going in there with our dog and letting her pick out things. It also gives us a chance to try a little bit of something new to see if we like it.

Charlotte the wonder mutt is a big fan, as is Geffy, the infinitely hairy feline. While prices are on the high end, we alway get high quality food, litter, treats, and toys from here and have never been led astray by the knowledgeable and friendly staff. Two dewclaws up!

My favorite place and only place we get treats for our dog. She has a really sensitive stomach so we had no idea what treats would work for her. The salmon bites are amazing for training and a perfect size! Everyone who works here is also so helpful and sweet.

I LOVE this place! They have a great selection and the staff is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.I've been getting treats and food here for a few years but my recent experience spurred me to write this five star review. My dog has recently had some health issues and I ended up having to put him on a prescription diet. We ran out of food last week and the vet was out of it as well (damn supply chain!). We tried giving him some of the food he enjoyed before but it was clearly messing with his stomach so I wasn't sure what to do. I went into Polkadog, told the person at the front desk my story, and they did some research and found a food they sold that had the same ingredients. It worked great! My dog was once again full and happy!After a week he finished the small test bag I bought so I called in to see if they had something larger. The person who answered the phone knew exactly what I was asking for (even though I did a poor job of describing it) and even talked to me about the different options to make sure I was getting the right thing. Not only did they have it in stock but it was half the price of the prescription stuff I was feeding him before!I can't say enough good things about this place! If management is reading this (I really wish I remembered these employees' names!) the person with a ponytail working on 1/20 around 4:30pm and the thin, dark-haired person working the evening of 1/10 or 1/11 deserve raises!

Love this place so much. Great selection of everything a pet parent could need. Best part: wonderful, wonderful people work here. Seriously, every single person. I went at 5 minutes before closing on a Saturday night and got kindness and patience throughout my transaction. I love this shop. The shop reps are always so helpful and friendly. The first time I went solo, but I was informed I could bring my picky eater dog to try each treat so she could pick for herself. Now anytime I am in Boston I stop here.

There's a reason why my dog starts pulling me down the street when we get close to this place. It's not just the delicious treats and fun toys they have, but the people that are always so helpful and excited about the products. They have everything you could want including special diets, no-hide bones, locally sourced seafood, etc. Love that you can buy just one little treat since most things are by the pound or per item. So glad we live close by!

I shop here regularly for my cat, and it's a great place. Staff are always friendly and willing to help. I once came here to buy dog treats for a friend's dog with some teeth issues, and the staff were able to immediately suggest some treats that would be easy to chew. Great place!

Great selection, decent prices, and awesome rewards program.UPDATE 2019: Still 5 stars. Visiting this location has become to us what going to church on Sunday's is for other people. Sometimes they even see us parking and meet us at the door to say hello to my two dogs as we come in. Though it doesn't personally bother me (because literally all you have to do is ask), I have heard some disdain about only some items have prices listed on them from other folks. For the quality and consistency, our favorite are the wonder nuggets, bully sticks, and their raw food selection. More importantly, the staff are wonderful, sweet people and really make you feel welcome and heard.

Awesome spot for my four legged baby!! She loves the Rabbit jerky. My daughter went and bought her some and we literally had to carry the bag with us wherever Bella went. Awesome little family friendly unique neighborhood 'pet store' for dogs and cats. We buy all of our food and litter here, and Santa got our dog Charlotte a bed from here, oh and treats galore (like a candy store for dogs) including pup cakes for birthday pets. My daughter and I love this place.

Great selection of high-quality dog food/treats that are responsibly sourced; friendly, helpful staff and those cool Polka Dog t-shirts!I no longer live in New England, so must purchase the cod sticks online, which my hounds love - though - just found a store in Tucson that carries them (individually only 😕), so maybe I can convince them to stock more items.

I can't say that I am a cat owner since they both run the house. Instead I'll say, I am the Human Ambassador for my Cats. I visit the shop in Jamaica Plain and find it is the best local spot for good quality products for my cats. You'd think that a place called PolkaDOG wouldn't have anything available for cats but you'd be mistaken. They have a wide selection of food, toys and treats as well as some premium cat litters, and other accessories just for cats. The sales people are friendly and pleasant. A customer is guaranteed to bring their furry friend into the store with them so it is often bustling with energy. Polkadog Bakery is a nice place to shop for cats as well as dogs.

My dog loves coming here and knows to run right up to the counter where they are always so kind and give her some free samples. They have a great supply of all sorts of treats, food, toys, and supplies. As with any boutique store, things can get a little pricey, but I still love to come and spoil my dog when I can.

This is our new favorite spot in Boston!! The selection of rawhides and chews of various flavors is the largest I’ve seen in a small style welcoming boutique. The staff are all knowledgeable and kind. My dog is obsessed, we both love it.

Lemonade and I had a wonderful time visiting Polkadog Bakery! The staff were totally in love with my pup (as they should be, she's an actual delight), but also incredibly helpful. I explained that my pup's been teething lately and the staff showed me several different options AND let Lemonade taste-test. Very important. Pup must be satisfied.Lem is currently chomping on her super delicious bone in heavenly delight!

Oh my god, the people who work here are so so good to my dog! My standard poodle drags me there as often as she can and I finally realized I didn't have to buy something every time and since she has food allergies she can't eat most of it anyway but my sweet dog comes alive as we tour the room and she inhales all the smells she can handle! I should thank each and every one of the wonderful staff there!

They're friendly. The place is clean. Great variety for dog treats. Some cat too. Very knowledgeable about their products. There's nothing like it near home so we stop in whenever we're in the area.
