This was our first time trying Dog Eat Cake as our local “barkery” closed. It did not disappoint! We drove an hour to pick up Max’s cake and it was totally worth it. The design was fun and unique (not your typical bone shape with minimal details). The cake was airy and moist. Max and his brother Leo loved it. It’s the best dog cake we have ever gotten! Dog Eat Cake will be our go to for both our pups!

I ordered a cake for our dog’s birthday party and it was perfect. I ordered online, put in some notes/details in terms of color and decoration and then picked it up the following week! I never communicated with anyone prior to picking it up. The party hat add on was great too (see photo) — so cute! Everything was smooth!

I love Dog Eat Cake Pet Bakery, and so does our pup! I got her donuts and then a birthday cake for her birthday. Both times, Sarah came up with really, really pretty creations that my dog devoured in about 2 minutes. Though the dog can’t really speak, the speed at which she attacked and gulped down a whole cake was a pretty clear sign that she absolutely loved her cake. The ordering and pickup were super easy too!! My coworkers, upon seeing pictures, all asked for where we had gotten the cake from. We’ll keep coming back to Dog Eat Cake Bakery for more special occasion treats for our pup!

Can't say enough about Dog Eat Cake, I have bought several dog cakes in the past (much pricier might I add,) and the quality of this cake was ten times better. So much softer than regular dog cakes, it smelled SO good too. My dog loved it. The attention to detail on the cake was amazing as well. She really went above and beyond for my dog and I and was able to get me my cake next day. Will be recommending her to everyone!

Got a small cake for my dog’s first birthday. I usually get my dog’s treats from Polkadog bakery, but since they didn’t offer a custom cake for dogs, I decided to try one from this place. I placed the order 3 days in advance, and the pickup process was smooth. The cakes seemed to be baked from a private residence, but the decorations and the details on the cake were on par if not better than most other cakes from established businesses. The price was also reasonable for the quality, and I was very satisfied to see that my dog absolutely demolished a huge chunk of it as soon as he got it. Definitely interested in getting some other treats from this place in the future.

I am so Happy that was able to find this place online for my 10 y/o English Bulldog birthday celebration. The cake was ADORABLE, tasteful and the DETAILS...(too cute to be eaten), the packaging, the treats, (even the crown was super cute and adjustable!!). Sarah is super talented and easy to communicate with. I never imagined something this cute for a pup :) i will give this place 10 stars, will do it again and again!! 👍👍👍

I ordered my pup Leo’s cake this weekend for his 1st birthday and Sarah was really sweet and her customer service was great! My baby Leo is a VERY picky eater. I was super shocked to see him LOVE the cake! That literally says a lot! The cake was also BEAUTIFUL. I will be using them again and I would definitely recommend!

Really disappointing experience with dog eat cake. I ordered a birthday cake for my dog weeks in advance to ensure it would be there for her birthday, as we would have to be out of town and wanted to make sure our fur baby got the sweet treat she deserved. Received no updates that it would be late or even when it was due to ship (this was a local delivery). It was only until after I called and emailed that I found out it was delayed with no real reason other than “there’s no guarantee per our policy and can be due to many factors”. There was no inclement weather nor was it a holiday. Wasn’t offered a refund. I will not be using them again

Our little girl turned 7 and absolutely loved her birthday cake from Dog Eat Cake. I ordered the cake from the website online and pick up was hassle-free. Sarah was responsive over text and even threw in a couple extra biscuit treats. We'll definitely be ordering from her again.

Found this place online for my English Bulldog Spanky's 6th birthday & so happy I did cuz last yr. I drove 35 mins for a bday cake & it wasn't half as beautiful as this 1🎂This place is conveniently in the South end 10 mins from my house & the cakes are the cutest. Will definitely be back again👍👍👍

I reached out to Sarah around 11am on the day of my dog’s adoption anniversary. She was SO KIND and flexible, and had CUSTOM doughnuts ready for my pup by 2:30pm that afternoon. They’re gorgeous and (most importantly) my dog loves them!! Will definitely be ordering from them again.

I've had a few experience with Sarah and Dog Eat Cake in the past few months. Each time she has gone above and beyond to make our orders extra special - It's the little details that really make these goodies so fun and so memorable. You can tell that Sarah truly cares about her craft as every item is so meticulously crafted and always top of the line quality. Aside from the fact that our pups love these baked goods, its especially comforting knowing that she uses great, quality ingredients that are easy on their sensitive bellies. What sets a company apart is not what they do and how good their customer service is when something goes right but what they do when something goes wrong. Two weeks ago, I placed an order for cupcakes to celebrate my pups birthday, which we know will be her last due to cancer so we wanted to make it special. I requested to have them delivered a day before her actual birthday to ensure they would be there in plenty of time. When I still had not received notice of the shipment the day they were scheduled to be delivered I called and was assured they would be delivered the next day that they were just a little behind. Unfortunately, the next day came and went and two days after that we still never received our order. This left us with nothing to give our pup on her birthday. When I requested a refund they issued it promptly which was obviously the absolute least they could do, since we never received our order, but they did not even apologize or offer to do anything else to try to compensate us for the screw up or even offer to send a makeup box of cupcakes. I typically like to support small local businesses but given the lack of care and customer service in this situation I would have a difficult time recommending this company to anyone.

Dog Eat Cake is my go to for personalized treats for my dog walking clients. I'm so happy I found Sarah's shop, and so grateful for her hard work and creativity. I ordered custom cookies for all of my clients this past holiday season, and each of them made an effort to catch me before/after walks just tell me that their dogs loved the treats, even the picky pups. This is a great business to support - your dog will be happy you did!

Ordered a cake for my 14-yo corgi. Wanted something pretty for the senior girl, and Sarah definitely delivered. Pickup was easy from Back Bay station, and Sarah was super communicative about pickup. Pepper loved the cake, and it honestly looked better than most of the human ones I’ve eaten. Loved all the little details on it. Definitely recommend and will order again!

The cake was shipped and received on time and the presentation was beautiful, so beautiful I almost did not want my dog to eat it. I bought a cake and pupcakes from Dog Eat Cake for my dog’s birthday and let me tell you it was a huge hit with the doggies. The presentation exceeded expectations, and I know the owner uses quality ingredients. The owner is extremely passionate and even checked in after the birthday to ask how we liked the cake and pupcakes. I’d 100% recommend to anyone with dogs and am happy I’ve finally found human quality cakes for my pup. I will definitely be coming back and love supporting local businesses with great owners!

I was scrambling last min to find a cake or pup cakes for my Lil Princess Sofia's 1st Birthday today. I legitimately ordered my pupcakes at aprox. 10pm last night. When I went on her website this morning to find out the pickup instructions I read I was supposed to have called or texted her for last min orders. I felt awaful and immediately texted her in a panic. Sarah was AMAZING she responded immediately and told me not worry she could still do my order. All she asked if at all possible we push back my pickup time by a lil bit. I had no problem doing so since it was absolutely my fault for waiting til the last min. She was so friendly, extremely courteous, and went ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE SURE MY BABY GIRL HAD A FANTASTIC BIRTHDAY TODAY!!!! I cannot thank her enough for doing such an incredible job , her pup cakes were a HUGE SUCCESS with all Sofia's furry friends!!! I will be recommending her to to all my firiends and family as well as using her again for all of Sofia's birthdays to come! Thank you so much I am 1 very happy puppy parent !!!

I placed an order on Friday for Monday 10:00am pickup. Got there on Monday at 9:47am. I understood I was early and I let her know that I was fine waiting until 10 of course. A min later I receive a call from her saying she dropped the pup cakes. Fine accidents happen but then she some how insinuates that she dropped them because she was in a rush like that was my fault because I was 13 mins early. I never had a problem waiting until 10.So I spent my money. Ordered ahead of time. Drove into downtown Boston and instead of her apologizing she plays the blame game and doesn’t even offer to deliver them. Just my refund and a attitude. Oh she just texted me with a coupon code of $5. Worst part was the attitude like she doesn’t even care she wasted my gas and time.So if I had waited for her to remake the cakes I would have still paid the full price. Makes no sense. Don’t waste your time on this place. She’s very unprofessional.I usually order from Okra and Molly online for my dogs birthday cake but I was so behind this year. That’s what I get. Waste money on professional companies.

I'm giving this company two stars because the cake is cute, unfortunately this owner doesn't know how to run her business and has terrible customer service. I ordered my dog cake a month early and it still didn't arrive on time, this is the second time this happened. I thought the first time was a fluke --nope. Too bad because I like to support locally run business but I refuse to order from here again.
