Dewberry Dogs Spa is AMAZING -- they always do such a great job with our little Frenchie & Boston Terrier (and our Frenchie is NOT an easy one to get into a bath or use 'the evil blow dryer' on!) They always fit us in when we make a request to give our pups a bath, and their customer service is outstanding. Highly recommend.

Took my pup here multiple times and quality has consistently declined, while prices increased. Most recent grooming experience was disappointing, to say the least. I have a doodle, who is very sensitive, so I can understand not being able to do a symmetrical cut. However, my dog’s face was visibly uneven, almost like one side wasn’t done at all. When I took the pup back for a touch-up, the result turned out even worse. However, what surprised me more was the attitude I received in the process, with a statement “this is not show grooming and if you don’t like it, then I must not be good enough.” Needless to say it was completely unnecessary. The cut cost $140 and for that price, I expected a better result.

Dewberry always takes amazing care of our dog! They are incredibly kind and our dog is completely comfortable with them. They always groom her perfectly and our dog always come home happy. We have been going to them for years and could not recommend them more!

We brought our dog to them for the better part of three years. When we first brought him, we were new pet owners and we simply asked them to do what they suggested. As people who claim to be professionals, we trusted them. Little did we know that they were shaving him, which you absolutely can't do to a double-coated dog. Again, as professionals, you would have thought that they would have known this.As you can see in the pictures, his beautiful black coat has been destroyed. It's now a light brown, except for an unsightly black stripe of his old fur that goes right down the middle of his back. Nothing could ever "ruin" Ernie for us, but it looks like he got one of those horrible dye jobs. The stripe just looks terrible.When I brought him back in after six weeks had gone by and his coat hadn't grown back in, they took zero responsibility and claimed that they did what we had asked them to do. Basically told me to pound sand. The vet says there's a 50-50 chance his coat ever grows back in and if it does it will take a very long time. In other words, he could be permanently "ruined."It's not that they made a mistake. It's that they repeatedly made an entry-level mistake and then shrugged off any accountability when one of their loyal customers who had recommended to several other people came asking for an explanation.Don't give these people your money. It'll just be your fault when they make a mistake.

I've taken my dog here since she was adopted (so about 5 years). She was very skittish and timid when she was first adopted and they managed to groom her beautifully. I feel so comfortable taking her here and am always thrilled with how adorable she looks when I pick her up. Lovely owners as well.

Had a great experience bringing my 1 year old golden Retriever here. The staff was very friendly and her haircut and bath only took about two hours. They did a great job and followed what I asked for. Prices are very reasonable, I was charged less than I was expecting.I love that they do not crate any dogs while they are waiting to be groomed. My pup clearly enjoyed her time there and got lots of attention!Would definitely recommend and plan on taking myPup there in the future.

Dewberry Dogs was so sweet and kind to both me and my pup! They did an awesome job and the prices were fair. I have a 75 lb short/medium haired dog and for a bathing which includes, teeth, ears and nails was $65. They also didn’t have my dog crated when I picked her up which I also loved because my dog is not comfortable being crated. Will definitely be returning!

Just don't bother bringing your dog here. On our first visit they lost our dogs collar and when I called and asked them to mail it to us as we do not live close by they said they would and it never came. I then had to buy a new collar and replace all the tags. When we went to go to our next appointment I called twice to confirm the time in the weeks before and when we showed up they said we had the wrong time and refused to see us. Even though I had confirmed the time weeks before. I have taken my dog to the same groomer for years before we moved to Boston and absolutely loved them and never had a bad experience. This place was a bad first impression from day 1. We have now switched groomers. I fully expect an unprofessional response from the owner after seeing their replies to other negative reviews. I should have looked at the reviews before booking.

The haircut was great but I I EXTREMELY BEYOND DISAPPOINTED in the customer service from the owner in the back. The man was great but the woman in the back was one of the rudest people I've ever met.Our dog had a lot of hair removed, they put his collar and leash on him and handed him to us, they did not once mention they had not adjusted the collar, we weren't even a foot out of the door and our dog had slipped out of his collar and was LOOSE on West Broadway, it took several minutes for us to get him back hooked up. The nice man was apologetic but I sternly said that it was unacceptable for them to 1) not adjust the collar or 2) not mention to us to adjust it.The woman in back told us that were irresponsible dog parents and if he was hit by a car it would be our fault, this was completely out of line. When i told her that was an unacceptable manner to treat a customer she told me to get out or she would call the police.Absolutely horrible experience, very scary and our dog is now acting very skittish,

After 4 years of monthly grooming (and almost $20k in aggregated fees) for my three large breed dogs, I was told that they were no longer welcome because of their size. Although I was always very pleased with their work, and my dogs were always incredibly happy to go for grooming, I was a bit shocked when we were summarily fired as clients for something that had not materially changed. The owner/groomer did mention that her deteriorating back was a part of the reasoning, but the excuse was a bit confusing given that she has an able-bodied partner in the shop with her at all times. Regardless, I would recommend them for their services, but would advise a word of caution for large breed dog owners as I would hate for someone to find themselves in a similar situation.

My favorite dog groomer in Boston so far. I have been looking for a groomer in Boston for my Bichon for several years, must say that not all groomers know how to do Bichon’s haircut but Dewberry really did a great job! The staff is also friendly. Highly recommended.The lady is always nice and friendly, but the guy in the store is always rude to me, have no idea why.

Kept my dog waiting three hours before grooming him because he was very nervous. Then found a one inch cut.My dog has been to groomers in other cities. No problem.Perhaps they had a bad day.Would not recommend.

Just took my pups for the first time today (a labradoodle, and a yorkie-poo). We just moved to MA so I was a bit nervous leaving them with strangers. My nerves were put to ease the minute I walked in. Everyone is so friendly and my pups never seemed too stressed. They also looked soooo cute when I picked them up. We will be back!

I love Dewberry! Their grooming rates are reasonable, especially for being in the heart of Southie. It's easy to drop in for a quick puppy nail trim. They have a great selection of accessories, leashes, collars, harnesses, dog outfits, toys, and treats.

I had a great experience with my small Papillon mix, Scooby. He has challenging hair and sensitive skin, plus he's very scared around new people. The team at Dewberry were incredible. I loved the family run feel. The woman who took care of Scooby was very social and friendly, you could tell she was a true dog lover. Her own little dog was even sitting inside propped up by one of the grooming mirrors just hanging out for the day. All the treats are handmade by the husband and he was more than happy to give out a free sample to see how well it was received. I understand the sons help bathe the dogs and from what I could see, every pet seemed to be getting great attention. Upon leaving, I was invited to come back by anytime to stop by, say hi, grab my pup a drink of water or a treat. Even more exciting was that Scooby had the best haircut he'd received since we got him a year earlier and so far this was my least expensive grooming visit. He has cowlicks and on his body his hair seems to grow in different directions, but she managed to cut it so nothing was sticking up in weird ways, and yet his hair was still trimmed to a perfectly short length. Scooby also didn't itch all day like he has after leaving other places, so I didn't have to apply any lotions or leave in conditioners. Very satisfied customer and can't wait to bring Scooby back!
