I am a Blandford resident and I have an accident prone puppy ! My dog somehow hurt his paw and they were responsive and all techs and Dr. Russ were so caring ! Very reasonably priced and helped my Mickey get on the road to healing !! Highly recommend !

we have taken our dog here multiple times and have had no issues, up until the past couple years. our dog had lumps on her that we were worried about, so we brought her in. they did blood work and told us that they were just lipomas and nothing to worry about. we did this two or three times. we told them that her blood work showed signs of leukemia and they said it definitely wasn’t. she then started throwing up pure blood and they told us it was just a virus. we brought her to a different vet, and told us it was in fact cancer and she had been sick for a very long time. we had to put her down. if your pet is showing clear signs of something, and they’re telling you it’s nothing to worry about, i recommend getting a second opinion from a different vet. our family is devastated over this loss and we’re very disappointed by this vet.

My elder dog was not doing well, the care, compassion and expertise from both Dr Russ and Dr Hazel has been great. They are willing to see your pet through tough times. I was not told to give up. They give straight truths and allow you to decide the next course of action. Thank you for the automy of care for our loving little yorkie mix.

Amazing!!! They were all super calm and compassionate meeting our fearful, hesitant rescue lab mix. Dr. Holman and staff were able to interact, provide necessary care, and help us with more words of wisdom regarding our parental skills:). Even our dog left with confidence:). Very pleased. The staff from the front desk to the doctor was very friendly and helpful. Kya & Mia always seem to be a bit difficult (like a wound up top), but with the help and comforting love that was given, our 2 fur kids felt relaxed. Many thanks. Highly recommend.

Blandford Animal Hospital's recent transition in management has left much to be desired. Once a reliable choice, the decline in service quality and organization is evident, with a notable lack of professionalism.Regrettably, I cannot recommend Blandford Animal Hospital under its current management. The changes have negatively impacted the quality of care, failing to meet the standards our pets deserve. It is my hope that improvements are made to restore the hospital's reputation and commitment to pet well-being.

The actual Vets are good but good luck getting in there. The receptionists make a game of seeing how long they can put people on hold then will just blatantly ignore phone calls. I was trying to make a regular appointment for one of my dogs this morning, was put on hold for 20 minutes, was hung up on, then had my calls ignored for the past hour, and this isnt the first time this has happened, in fact it happens almost every time we need to make an appointment. We will be finding a new vet, as they do not seem interested in seeing clients.

I'm not sure what happened, I always liked Dr. Hazel and the vet techs, but this place seems to have fallen apart. I made an appointment (the second in 2 months for same issue) for my dog's ear infection which they were able to "schedule" the following day. I got there and they had no record of the appointment but saw him anyways. They treated him while I waited in the car, and then the vet tech brought him back out with no paperwork and told me I needed to come back the following week to see a surgeon, and we could settle up then. I called the following week because his ear was in worse shape, and they made an appointment (third appointment for same ear infection) for several days later. I got there 5 minutes before my appointment, waited for 20 minutes while the vet answered the phone, and then was finally taken by a young child to the treatment room. The vet tech came in a few minutes later and then greeted me by asking why I hadn't paid for the previous visit. I told her I'd been sent home with no paperwork and no follow up appointment, and told to settle up next time I was there. This was the next time I was there. I explained I was a little frustrated because his ears were in worse shape. I asked if there was something I could bring home to treat him this time because the previous treatment worked for a few days and then things got worse. The vet (Dr. Russ) then came in and yelled at me for not coming on the day the surgeon was in (as if I know their schedule), he says he told me a bunch of things the last time I was there even though I never spoke with him or saw him on the previous visit, and then he told me his ears were actually in better shape and they were going to do the same treatment. So I walked out saying I was going to take my dog to another vet, but at no time was I rude to them despite being yelled at by the vet for their own office's disorganization. About an hour later they sent me an email that says my account is being sent to collections for refusing to pay them (it's two weeks overdue, again only because of their office's disorganization). So I called the office to pay them, was immediately put on hold, and then they hung up on me.TLDR: The place is a disaster. Your pet deserves better care and you deserve to be treated professionally.

Dr Hazel Holman is an excellent vet. She and her team have taken great care of our geriatric kitty family for 8 years now. They are all in top health despite their genetic ailments and arthritis, and I am happy to say that Dr Holman brought one of our kitties back from the brink of death when she called in a specialist for an impromptu ultrasound. I love Blandford Animal's friendliness and appreciate their genuine care for our kitties. Thank you!

A big thank you to the staff at Blandford Animal Hospital for providing great (and affordable!) dental care to our two feral rescue cats. Staff was patient and caring and took good care of our guys. Our only issue is that they seem to have perpetual problems with their phone lines, but keep trying – they have much less of a wait time for appointments than other area vets. We're glad we found this place!

Hazel and her staff are the best! They take great care of our fur kids. Hazel is wonderful with the pet parents too as sometimes visits can be very emotional.

These people really care about the animals they see and its really noticeable as soon as you enter the office and talk to someone. Both of my cats come here... I have been to various facilities over the past several years and this is by far my favorite vet's office...Your furry friend(s) will get great care here.

Best vets around..will always accommodate you and very fair prices. They really care about the animals and go above and beyond when you need to be seen. They took my new puppy on an emergency on the weekend before she was even an established patient. Truly appreciate these guys!

My only regret is that I hadn't found them sooner! After being denied service from our former vet for not coming frequently enough and facing a $7,000 bill at an emergency vet with my cat when it needed an emergency surgery, I didn't know where to turn when our other cat had a broken toe. Blandford Animal Hospital not only stepped up quickly but saved me what would have no doubt been another emergency bill for who knows how much. Everyone on staff at Blandford Animal Hospital is just so amazing including the cat Luna at reception. They are professional, knowledgeable and affordable. My fur babies receive the best care. So much love from the staff. I will forever be a customer here. Thank you!! <3

This place is a lifesaver (literally). Their priority is the wellbeing of your pet, and that is IT. They pulled out all the stops to administer care and give comfort to my pup, and were so communicative with us throughout the whole process. Anyone going through a pet emergency knows how valuable that is. They gave us medication to start his healing process, called us right away when my pup's bloodwork came back with some very scary numbers, told us where to go, and our 4 day nightmare was over a mere 36 hours after our visit. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!

I do NOT recommend Blandford Animal Hospital! We have been going there for many years. It has changed a great deal with Russ buying out Hazel and not for the better. First of all many of the old timers have left and there are many new folks who shouldn’t be working in animal care. I will start with the person answering the phones……she is a miserable human being and should not be working in customer service. One of our dogs was not doing well so we brought him in, $400 later and not even a phone call to discuss bloodwork results. I called THREE times to find out results and not even a phone call back. I ended up receiving a voice mail late that next night. They still didn’t even have all of the results in. The next morning Russ called and said we should bring him in for more tests yet still no full bloodwork results in yet. Since our dog was almost 15 I strongly felt this was a money grab and not what was truly best for our dog. Our dog took a turn for the worse, still no call the next day to discuss results. I was able to find a very kind traveling vet who came out to put our beloved pet to sleep, worst day of my life in a long time. Guess what, she let Blandford Animal Hospital know and STILL no contact from them. Please find somewhere else to bring your pet, plain and simple they are absolutely horrible here and apparently truly don’t care about your pet, just the money. We did not deserve to be treated like this and neither does anyone else!!!!

I have a hard time understanding your hours. Can you keep normal business hours Mon thru Friday and stay open at least until 2 or 3 pm on Saturday? You know that other people work too right? Who closes at noon on a Wed?Every time I have come there, everyone from the receptionists to the vets are very aloof. I am not necessarily doubting your competence, just feels very weird every time I am there, nobody greets you or introduces themselves or let’s you know the appointment is over. It seems some manners would go a long way, and hire some better front desk people for goodness sakes, there is an older lady, who can barely type on the computer and another lady Tina, who talks like she works at a bar. And follow up with people, when you are prescribing medications to their pets. Pets are not humans, but you are in pet health care, so they are your patients.

Easy to get appointments, doctors and staff know what they are doing. Reasonable pricing for services. One con is that it's a little far drive for me, and sometimes when i drive 30-40 mins and then have to spend another 30 mins in waiting, so that's a personal inconvenience.

Super friendly. Never been to a vet that is as Courteous and kind. My animals never even notice when they get they’re shots. They are that great! Also the prices are never outrageous. Very affordable for anyone who wants to keep up with they’re furry family member

When i first went to this hospital they were treating us really good and my two kittens then i brought them to get spayed and neutered and i requested cones and they told me that cats rarely lick there incision and that's all they tried to do. Cats always lick themselves and i also asked them if they can go up and down stairs and the answer i get is you can't stop cats from being cats. I also had asked them if i should separate the two and they said only for one night. So everything they told me was false information I'm over here trusting there word being professionals and now i had to take my female kitten to the emergency room because they were booked. Emergency room told me her incision was infected and it had opened due to her licking it my bill was close to 2k and all of this could've been avoided if they had gave me the right information.
