Delicious hard and soft serve ice cream! They make their own hard ice cream. Gluten free items are clearly labeled; and more than half of the items are GF. The staff is really friendly and it's a very nice spot to hang out.

I must be perfectly honest, this place would have earned five stars except for two things. One, the milkshake cost nearly $10. And two, said milkshake was almost entirely melted. It still managed to taste pretty damn good, and the kids were really happy with their cones. It's clean, prompt service, limited parking, nice eating area under the trees.

From last summer: we went at the end of the season. Great prices for HUGE portions. We all got smalls and should have gotten kiddies! Lots of options, too.Used to offer burgers, fries, etc but didn't last summer due to lack of staff. Hoping they offer that again soon!Outdoor seating. Plenty of off-street parking. I didn't see a bathroom.

Wow—spectacular ice cream: creamy, with fresh ingredients, and delicious. The raspberry swirl was amazing: vanilla ice cream base, with raspberry swirl, and big chocolate chip nibs that explode in your mouth like a chocolate-raspberry version of Freshen-Up gum. Mmmmmm….

This is a favorite place to come for my family. The burgers are so freaking good and for an amazing price and the ice cream is one of the best we have ever tried. Also the atmosphere is really nice, there are swings, pretty lights and picnic tables spaced at a good distance for social distancing. Also the sweet potato fries are awesome!

Love the soft ice cream here! And they also offer puppy bowl for the dogs. The reviews suggest they used to have fast food but no longer food option when I visited the place.

I loved this place because of good thin yet juicy burgers, excellent onion rings, and good ice cream. Unfortunately today they said they can only cook hamburgers well done. That often means the restaurant does not trust the health and integrity of its burger supply, perhaps because it buying cheap. I'm good with medium rare or even medium, but well done is just hard tack.

Best strawberry cheesecake ice cream, with actual chunks of cheesecake! Waffle cones are extra good also. The utensils and cups are eco friendly which is a huge plus and the location is beautiful.

DON'T GET A LARGE. Although the price is great for the amount of ice cream you get a large is more than 16 oz of ice cream. I really enjoyed the place, it had outdoor seating and a clear line to order. Their prices are great and they have 15 to 20 ice cream flavors that rotate, including dairy free and gluten free options.

Townline is great.Ice cream is mostly affordable and the quantity you receive is definitely high.They have hard and soft ice cream to pick from and a huge amount of toppings. I've literally never been disappointed by their ice cream selection.Even better, they take credit and debit cards. This is unlike the majority of ice cream places in the Pioneer Valley.Line is never long either. Definitely go here.

Used to be reasonably priced, but the ice cream is pretty expensive nowadays (like many other things I guess). Also would recommend keeping an eye on what they hand you to make sure you get the number of scoops you paid for. Portion control seems to be pretty lax. We got shorted.

This is a little gem of a place that serves up soft and hard ice cream, as will as some great food. It offers a very nice little seating area with picnic tables in an area shaded by trees. Worth a stop regardless of the weather.

Superb ice cream! The staff is super friendly and they have lots of different flavors of ice cream. They also serve food off the grill including fries, hot dogs, and burgers. If you are around the area and want some food/ice cream, go here it is super yummy.

Delicious place. Both hard and soft serve ice cream. the selection is broad enough to satisfy most every palete yet not over whelm a patron.Also can get light lunch faire and drinks.Eat in car or at one of the two or so picnic tables.Friendly staff makes it the complete package.

Great place to bring the dogs for a treat. They have pup bowls smaller kids ice cream with dog biscuits. The parking lot offers great options to be able to take your dogs out and enjoy their ice cream without being too close to the road or the other patrons. I like this place.

Typically I enjoy coming here with my daughter - the prices and service are usually very good. Today though we had to deal with a wholly unpleasant girl at the counter who couldn't be bothered with basic customer service skills. Her attitude - like she was too good to deal with customers - ruined the atmosphere for me.

We discovered this last year for the first time and really enjoyed the Giffords ice cream. We used to come often because it was so good and generous servings for the price. Today for the first time this season, we ordered two of our favorite flavors of ice cream and were sorely disappointed to the point of throwing them in the trash before finishing them. We understand they are now making their own ice cream for the first time this year, but they seem to have a lot to learn about it. It was terrible!

Good prices and excellent ice cream. I avoid this place during prime time as the lines get extremely long and as they serve both food and ice cream sometimes the line is really slow. That's said if you go when the line is short the ice cream is awesome and worth it. I can't comment on the food as I've never tried it.

Great place to stop and rest over some fine ice cream. I ride motorcycle and wander off to the west on some of my adventures. This place is a great midpoint for a snack and dessert during their open season.

The ice cream is I think the best in Western Massachusetts!!! Tonight for dinner I got a bacon cheeseburger and a hotdog that was supposed to have chili and cheese but they forgot the cheese 😞 the onion rings are amazing hand made with just a light batter they more than made up for the forgotten cheese. The prices are reasonable enough so my wife and I can stop by fairly often without breaking the bank. Our dinner tonight with just one small ice cream was a shade under $30 not bad for 3 burgers, hotdog, large o-rings, a large sweet potato fries and a child size cup of vanilla soft serve. The small cones BTW are the size of medium to large at many other places. I love soft serve ice cream so I've been to a lot of places. Check them out I don't believe that you will be disappointed.

My family's favorite place for soft serve ice cream and shakes. Lots of seating in sun and shade, decent parking, excellent ice cream, and you can get lunch or dinner too! Good prices. Highly recommended.

I went for the first time a few months ago with some friends from Green River House. I'd heard about it since I moved here to Greenfield from East Texas 6 years ago. I'd always wanted to try it but without a car it's hard to get there. They were a little pricey but it was worth it. I got a Mint Chocolate Oreo Shake. If I can afford it and get a ride I'd go back in a heart beat.
